Worst ever indian restaurant ive been to in my entire life im from london uk and we have so many top Indian restaurant and excellent customer service ive never eaten at a indian restaurant like sitar restaurant they do not have any customer service what so ever and and the boss and employer had sad faces we had to wait outside for one hour the people was working at the restaurant was very rude the food was cold and the chillies panner had no taste worse ever Indian restaurant the boss was very rude and started saying saying no one else has complained we asked for fresh chillies and the waiter said we are busy and if we got time we will give it to u we also ordered papadums we had to get up our self and get them from the buffet area the food was very mild and had no taste the naan bread was very cold. There is no parking nearby the restaurant we found parking across from Sitar restaurant and had to pay a flat rate after 4.00pm of $8.00 So many people who wanted to eat at the restaurant had turned back after they saw the long waiting from outside the restaurant this restaurant has no employers

If we could give it 10 stars we would. Had actually gone to the area for a Dr. appt, and planned to visit a different restaurant (which is now gone and the building demolished - guess its been awhile). Went in to Sitar with wife and son on a whim (and we were starving) for the lunch buffet. It was one of the best meals we have had out in a very long time. Saw some of the other reviews, but have no idea where they were coming from. The service was friendly, our water glasses were regularly refilled, the atmosphere was very nice, and the food was absolutely delicious. You must try the fried cheese balls! The restaurant was clean, and as soon as a table was vacated, it was cleaned and re-set for the next patrons. We could not have asked for a better meal or experience, and it didnt cost us any more than had we gone to Mexican or 5 guys. We will definitely be back, and may actually take a trip to Chattanooga simply to have dinner (or lunch) there. Nicely done.

The worst Indian cuisine ever I visited, the food was horrendous and the attitude of manager as well. Instead of hearing the concerns of costomers regarding the quailty and taste expectations of the food, they treat them arrogantly. The dishes were lacking delicacy of cooking and unhygienic ambience was making it worst. When I genuinely pass complain to the owner about the flaws, he arrogantly said thats the best he can offer to the customers and everybody is having the same food without complaining and thats what offended made me and we left without passing another argument. They shouldnt be in restaurant business with such lame services.

We were pretty sceptical of the taste considering the bad reviews here and therefore went in with low expectations. What a pleasant surprise. The food tasted great! The rotis were soft and fresh, curries were tasty, rice items good and they addressed our various a special requests perfectly. We only did a take out, and the service was quick and friendly. Prices are super reasonable even though they are located in the downtown. The parking situation is a little problematic, but thats just due to the location. Will definitely come back here each time we are in town!

We ordered Chicken Curry, Daal Fry and Rice pulav.. Despite speaking to the person taking order .. we were served food which was not all authentic in taste.. Chicken curry only had pieces of chicken with barely any gravy.. after sharing our experiences they modified the curry and brought the gravy without chicken which only had tomatoes and onion paste.. dal fry did not had any salt.. and on top of everything there were numerous food flies in the restaurant.. not recommended for anyone who is tempted by name .. this place is not offering authentic Indian food..

Worst ever Indian restaurant in the USA. The owner is very rude. The description of menu and what they serve do not match. We ordered Tandoori Assorted Appetizers which contained only Lamb and no other item as described in menu, apart from that main course also was worthless. When we asked about it we got very rude response from the owner. In anger we mentioned -5 in tip but when we saw in the transaction the we found that the staff made it 5 and were charged extra$5 of the bill amount. I will never recommend this place.

Horrible food and rude service peoples... The foods are stored OLD foods…. When me and wife ate.. she vomited in the dining desk itself…. They have asked us to clean.. we were shouting at them.. also I told them… you are selling spoiled stored old food… and came out… Also, for proof… I have paid my bill and took for proof… I am going to food control of Chattanooga and complaint…. After I came home, I also vomited. .. I will never go to that Sitar to buy sick for money.. Please AVOID.

Taste of the food is really sucks, I have visited Ruby falls this weekend since it was too crowded, we were out so late. We wanted to finish our dinner by the nearby indian restaurant and chose this one. While tasting the food, i felt that i took a wrong decision to choose this hotel. No salt in gravy and roti which is horrible to eat, I see so many people in there i wonder all of them felt like me? Rather I should have tried Pizza shop. Really sucks!!!

Last time when I visited the buffet was very good. After that i decided to go for a la carte. Chicken was good as we said to make it Indian spicy and it was spicy. The vegetarian entree was not upto the mark and having no salt. Also the quantity was very less as compared to other indian restaurants. Overall a bad experience for ala carte. Also the chicken biryani was more like indian khichadi. Wouldnt recommend chicken biryani to anyone

Usually go there and its good but since last two times looks like they have lost the good food... food was cold, smelled like was not freshly cooked may be just heated. when asked to heat it up took over 20 mins by the time we were already done. The owner didnt even bother to apologize or anything was looking like nothing happened, group of six people every one got mad. need something better in Chatt,

The hubs and I arrived late (about 9pm) on a Friday night. We were graciously greeted and promptly seated as soon as a table could be cleared. This was our first time trying Indian cuisine and our server was very kind in helping us decide what we would most probably enjoy. It was way more food than we could eat and we enjoyed every bit of it. We will definitely return

Worst Customer Service. A part of rice from the order was ice cold, when asked the waiter himself conforms it was frozen and may not be warmed properly, when we got shocked hearing that they said most of the food is made and frozen if its not sold in buffet. No doubt now why I heard this before and the previous reviews says vomiting and all... never going back
