Let me start by saying I have eaten at La Hacienda for 17 years. I did love their food, service, and prices. That said, I had a somewhat traumatizing experience today. One of my sons and I had ordered our food and were eating chips and salsa when something got hung in my throat. At first I thought it might be a pepper stem because that has happened to me before. After trying to cough it up, I reached down my throat and fortunately was able to pull it out. It was a 2 inch long piece of wire that you might find on a grill brush. Think about that for a moment. Thankfully it did not go too far down. I would have been in the hospital. I may still have to go if I swallowed one unknowlingly. You can believe me or not. That is up to you. But, you have lost your mind if you go to this restaurant and eat. There are too many other options instead of risking your health.

NOTE: This is for the Midtown ATL location. Stopped in here after work while trying to pass the time before attending an event, and also found it via my handy dandy ScoutMob app. Parking is only valet and when I pulled up the valet guy was clearly busy so he didnt even notice me - I was about to park my own car. I ate at the bar. The server was nice, but he was on his cell phone pretty much the whole time I was there! Maybe he was the manager because that seemed a little unprofessional. But the food came out super fast, was piping hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the shrimp tacos, and the serving was big enough for me to take some to go! Id go back again, because I enjoyed the food and the staff were friendly.

First visit a couple of weeks ago was fantastic. But Friday night 3-3-17 was horrible. I believe they were short staffed. Anyway, our server seemed rushed and inattentive. Had to ask for chips and salsa. Did not pay attention to order and what was sent out was wrong. Some chips in basket were stale, like they mixed old and new together. Husbands order was sent back because it wasnt as he asked, server seemed annoyed with special requests. My tacos smelled funny. No flavor at all and the cheese for one was completely melted on the outside of the shell of another taco. Felt sick and did not finish tacos. Dont think we will return.

I am a first and last time customer. I called in an order for 3 steak tacos and was told the order would be ready in 10 mins. I get there in plenty enough time for my order to have been ready, but had to wait. I kept wondering why my food wasnt ready. Nobody was saying anything. So finally a gentleman came from the kitchen with my bag and apologized for the wait. He said my order was given to someone else by mistake. Someone had come in to place an order and they gave them MY order. How does that even happen if they took MY name and number over the phone? What did it for me was they didnt try to offer any compensation.

It had been almost 10 years since we were there last. Hadnt planned on going back since it was so terrible the first time. We decided, after hearing some decent reviews, to try it again. No luck - still terrible. Got our order wrong and when it was finally correct, the shrimp in the chimichanga wasnt peeled (several of the shrimp, not all). There were plenty of cars in the parking lot, but once inside, we realized they were employees cars. Most of them were doing nothing in the restaurant since there were few folks there.

We came in for margaritas only but ordered an appetizer, which both turned turned out yo be very good. Our waitress wS a pretty little 21 y/o that talked to us as uf she had known each other for years.. Very nice to talk to. We asked questions and found out she was vegetarian and since Im interested in that, she answered my many questions. Now we were in at 3:30 pm so she was not busy. Looks like they bave excellent daily specials. We will be back soon.

The food is cheap, the beer is cold and the one gringo server they have, (his name is Shane) is one of the best in the business. Ask for Shane when you go and let him mysitfy you with stories of his world travels! I always thought Alfredo was Italian until I came to this place. Apparently you can be mexican and still have the name "alfredo"....i dunno...any way, great stuff here Rich Blood Peace!

I wasnt impressed at all. I pulled up and the parking lot was empty. Not quite sure why I wasnt alarmed. A friend recommended this place based off another location. Upon entering, there was a mildew type smell. Ordered a few drinks and cheese dip. Drinks were watered down and cheese dip had no flavor at all. I was surprised. The service was good but I wont return.

We had a office function for cinco de Mayo that we let the place know about a month in advance. They only gave us 1 server for a room with 10 tables of rotating guests. The manager was literally barking at people about their orders. Food was not very good. My taco shell was like a sopping wet bandage. Disappointed all around.

Not the best experience. My server pretty much ignored us. There wasnt a follow up after the food runner brought the food out. Didnt ask anything. I waited to see how many times and how long she was going to walk past us. I stop her more than once. The food could have been better. Definitely wont be back.

This is the best Mexican Restaurant around. My family has been eating here for years! I love this place and so do my kids. Awesome customer service and very friendly staff. The same people have been working here ever since I started going here in 2007!

Have eaten here quite a few times over the past 2 years. The service is always quick, the salsa is good, and I always leave fat and happy. They could use freshen up investment to brighten the place up, but its otherwise a good little restaurant.

The mens bathroom stall had no security at all. The lock was a piece of a knife. The seat behind us two boys about 13 or 12 hit the back of the seat. The boys parents said the seat qas flimbsy.

This place is a fairly standard Mexican restaurant. I didnt see anything on the menu that stood out as unique to me. The menu was a little over crowded in my opinion. The service was decent.
