I like it when my washer breaks and I have to use the laundry matt right next door...lol then I can go over there and get dos tacos and the best sprite on the planet....I dont know what it is about their sprite, I dont really even like sprite...but one day I did not need the caffeine and omg that sprite nearly put me in nirvana...its extra strong or something. Ive loved everything Ive eaten there but their shrimp casa dias are to die for....the guys that work there are kind and funny and quick and you dont end up spending ur whole paycheck to feed everybody. I take good down to earth folks there when I want a good hot spicy meal and no fuss or drama. Bathrooms could be cleaner but eh, whatcha gonna do?? I highly recommend this place to everyone reading this review right now.

Ive been going to San Miguel for maybe 12 years. The fare is pretty compatible to other similar restaurants in this town, with some unique tastes. I prefer some of their dishes over some equivalents at my other preferred Mexican food restaurant, La Fiesta. I am a vegetarian and I have enjoyed their vegetarian-friendly options. You get so much food for a good deal! The employees are very, very nice. The music nights have been fun to listen to, but I felt very uncomfortable when theyve had musicians go from table to table. Decor is better than at some similar restaurants, but some things could get an update. Inside looks better than out. Parking is a little weird. If you are in that area, I recommend for Mexican food.

I would like to warn others not to be fooled by all the positive reviews! Obviously these locals have never tasted authentic mexican cuisine! The food here is comparable to the worst taco bell can dish out! The meat is like this gewiee red concoction of mush with no flavor & the Chile rellenos are boiled and not battered with egg y ll yokes like they should be! Eeww! The waitress I would have to admit was pretty nice although her father or the what looked to be owner of the resteraunt, is racist against his own kind. He sat my family and I way back in a dark corner when there was plenty of seating in the center of the resteraunt. Over all I would never recommend this resteraunt to anyone!

We were driving through on a road trip and were craving good Mexican food. From previous reviews we decided to try this place. We were in a hurry so we called ahead and placed our order to dine in. They were very accommodating, service was excellent, and the food was amazing! The chips were warm and fresh and the salsa was delicious. My wife and I both opted for the chicken fajitas which were full of flavor. Compared to what we pay for good fajitas in Houston, we felt they were underpriced for the quality and quantity (which seems odd to say). Drink specials were also a great value! This will forever be our go to Mexican food spot when traveling back to Florida!

The staff was very nice. Even on game night AND with a family reunion there, they were able to seat us promptly, and they brought our food in a timely manner. The food was excellent. Not too greasy, but had a very authentic-flavor, and the portions were generous. We had a party of five, and each of us ordered something different. We all enjoyed our meals. My only small complaint would be that the Margaritas were a little lacking in the alcohol, but they were huge, and tasty anyway. Overall, one of the best restaurant experiences Ive had in Tallahassee so far.

San Miguel has the best Mexican food in Tally, hands down! Every dish was absolutely delicious! Even my daughters chicken tenders and fries were scrumptious! I havent had a drink here, so I cannot give you my opinion on them. The server was friendly and attentive, the bathroom was very clean and well maintained, and the value was awesome! Our food came out very quickly and the presentation was even pretty! Definitely my new favorite in town!!!

The prices online dont match up to what they really charge. I ordered the special platter which is a tamale enchilada chalupa rice and beans online said it was 7.50 but really was 9.95. The grande margarita was weak dont expect one to do anything. Food was delicious and server was nice. The chips and dip were great. Will go back soon!!

Great authentic Mexican food and great people/service. Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee. Salsa & Queso dip are absolutely delicious. And they have great options for vegetarians. Their flan is so-so, but other than that they are fantastic. If you want legit authentic Mexican food, I highly suggest San Miguel.

Went in and ate this evening. 1st the service was horrible took 3 times asking for sweet tea and sending back u sweet or coke... The food on 3 different orders had hair in it.. Tried to say something and was Ignored the whole time i was never rude or short with any of the staff and I have eaten before and this will be my last..

Let me start by saying I do not live in Tallahassee anymore but I am more than willing to drive 4 hours just for the chicken quesadillas from this restaurant. The customer service is always great and the food is always fantastic. If I could give this restaurant more stars I would.

experience, nice people, inside has a nice feel and the steak quesadilla had some of the best steak Ive ever tasted. My only regret was forgetting to ask for jalapenos... Im traveling for work and came here for lunch, I was in and out in about 30-45 minutes.

The interior is attractive, but the food is really terrible. The tacos tasted worse than an Old El Paso kit you would buy in the supermarket. The mole sauce is greasy, runny and flavorless. This is certainly the worst Mexican food Ive ever had.

Veggie fajitas, VEGGIE FAJITAS. I would not tell you a lie my friends. Seasoning is perfect, all kinds of fun vegetables, i.e. cauliflower, and it is a great size for a good price. People are super nice. Salsa is very fresh.

It can be hit or miss here lately. This is still by far our favorite Mexican restaurant but some times the tea is terrible and the wait staff isnt on their game. But the food is always awesome. The owner is the coolest!

Awesome! Excellent service and amazing food! Authentic and fresh. Almost as good as El Jalasco taste wise but not by much. They have a nice selection of vegetarian dishes as well. Terrific!
