I am extremely disappointed in the service I received tonight. We came in on a fairly slow Tuesday evening around 7:30. When we went inside it took 15 minutes to have us seated, and by seated I mean we were told, "just go sit anywhere on that side." Once we sat down our drink orders were taken, but it took another 20 minutes to be brought menus. Our order was taken and the food came out fairly quickly. I was willing to excuse the bad service up to that point until it took us nearly 40 minutes to get our check. Im not talking about 40 minutes from the time we got our food; we ate and it took an additional 40 minutes to get our check. At one point my boyfriend even got up, walked across the restaurant, and asked the waiter directly for our check and some boxes. From that point it was about another 15 minutes before he even acknowledged us. I have been a patron of Los Compadres in the past, but as of now, I will most certainly be taking my business elsewhere.

Los Compadres is by far the most fabulous Mexican restaurant ever. The chips and salsa are the perfect (in unlimited quantities and free!). The margaritas are tasty, potent, and oversized. Every item on the menu is delicious. I especially like the "Combination K," which includes a crunchy taco, a chalupa ("tostada"), burrito, and enchilada. Its a ton of food and its cheap! The Enchiladas Supreme is also outstanding, along with the chicken quesadilla. I could eat my weight in food here. The service has always been great, too. I now live in Tampa, and miss this place all the time. Any time I am heading anywhere near Tallahassee, I am willing to go out of my way to sneak in a lunch from Los Compadres. The people who had negative things to say clearly do not like authentic Mexican food -- they should go to Taco Bell or Chilis and forget about it. Bon appetit!

My mom, nephew and I dined here on a kids eat free night. It was earlier so it was super slow. Our waitress seemed nice but when I accidentally spilled my drink, another waiter walked by and did nothing to help us clean it up or get us a towel (even though he saw it happen) and when she came by, she gave us disposable napkins that barely sopped up the mess. Then when I had to remind her to get me a new drink, she put my same lemon I had already squeezed back on the edge of my cup -_- Also we shared the veggie fajitas (which I get at every Mexican restaurant I go to) and they were the worst Id ever had. Most of the vegetables seemed canned, I know for a fact the mushrooms were.

Wouldnt even gave it one star if it was possible. I went there just for drinks n they were horrible. What they had on the menu was a lie. Peach margaritas were ten bucks (not two for one like it says) the guy lied about how much it was. To top it off I lefy there two margaritas in n im a light weight, feeling the same as I did whhen I walked in. I wanted at least a buzz but na. I woupdnt recommend this place especially if u want drinks. They had zero alcohol in them. :(.

Having Los Compadres a few blocks from home, we still had not tried it. Now we have tried it for lunch and dinner and their Tomatillo sauce is to die for and compliments my burritos. Wife had fajitas and really enjoyed it. My only complaint is the Margaritas force me to have a designated driver(LOL) Great food and gear service.

Years ago this restaurant was one of the most sought out university hangouts for pre-gaming. still today the atmosphere is unparalleled to the other Mexican establishments in town, and mainly the multi chain franchises. For a live enthusiastic customer and employee environment with great food and beer specials come here!

This place is so good that I came four Fridays in a row. The prices and portion sizes are perfect! The margaritas are delicious and definitely have more than enough tequila (I have some stories.) I recommend almost anything on the menu but specifically their fajitas, wings, quesadillas, and nachos.

I come here probably once a week. Frozen lime margs are fire and always half price! Two and youll be feeling fabulous. Prices are relatively cheap and the food is mexican. You can never go wrong with Queso. Great specials every day of the week. Its Taco Thursdays here :)

Great food, and the drinks are top notch. I highly recommend the top shelf margarita. They easily accommodate non-cheese-eating folk and those who arent comfortable with meat. The service has always been superb. It does get rather rowdy some evenings.

If you are a family trying to have a meal and conversation dont go here. The college punk kids are so loud you have to tell to make it so your family can hear you. The service staff says they will talk to them but does nothing.

The food was decent and so was the atmosphere for the price. I think this place is made more for the college crowd in mind and would probably be better if you are looking for smaller portions and a well stocked bar.

Dont go!!! The place is filthy, the service was awful. The at best was mediocre. We waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive, the rice was mushy, beans cold and not cooked, and the meat was toughand flavorless.

Daddy needs mariachi band. The margeritas were strong and cheap. The food was delicious, filling, and also cheap. Service was totally adequate. Just get a mariachi band and Ill toss in another star.

The special order tacos (carnitas & chorizo) are a little pricey but they are the best I have ever eaten! The house (picosa) salsa is outstanding. The service was great! Will eat there again!

The food is tasty. The taco shells were crispy and perfectly made. My enchilada and tostada, my sons chicken quesadilla, beans and rice were all nice. The margaritas were HUGE. Good prices.
