Katie another reviewer couldnt have said it better. We also tried this place twice, hoping itd be better the second time around. It was worse. We couldnt wait for this place to open in Seminole. It wasnt worth the wait. The food is mediocre at best. Not sure why everyone thinks it is so wonderful. Thai and sushi are my favorite foods. I have been to many a Thai and sushi restaurant and this by far was the worst. Portions were small and we all left hungry. They have a lot of nerve charging 15 dollars for a specialty roll. If the prices were half, well then it would make up for the so so food. This place is not worth the 2 hour wait that everyone has been complaining about.

If you love authentic Sushi and Thai food then Osaka is THE place to go.Im a frequent diner here & go at least once a week and always take family and friends when they come for a visit. Besides having a wide selection of appetizers and food choices is tops. Im always greeted with a smile & hug by the owner and staff who are friendly and professional, remembering my name and nuances regarding my life situations, trips Ive taken, etc. Portions are large & reasonably priced. Now, Im getting hungry...for what? The best, freshest, Sushi and Thai food on the planet and Ive traveled a lot...no place compares to Osakas Sushi and Thai food. Ive never been disappointed. ❤️❤️

Great food, as with their previous Madeira Beach location. The restaurant is very upscale and modern in appearance, with a large sushi bar and dining area. Outdoor seating is also available, with a Japanese garden setting. The staff is very friendly, although still learning the large menu since mostly new employees. Overall, a good dining experience, and many future trips will be necessary to explore the new menu possibilities.

I have to be honest. We went to Osaka all the time when it was down on Madeira Beach. I couldnt wait for it to open near our house in Seminole. Weve been twice since it opened, and honestly... Meh. I dont know what changed, but the flavors are way different than before. I have to admit that Im not a big sushi fan, so head toward the Thai menu. Others who like sushi say it is still the best. For Thai, Im going elsewhere.

Take out is a nightmare and youll be lucky if you get what you ordered and not have to wait additional time at the restaurant because its never ready. If they happen to forget something they charged you for, no apologies are made and nothing is done to refund you or fix the mistake. All in all, we had high hopes for their opening, but are slowly becoming jaded with the staff and underwhelming food portions.

Second visit - the quality of the sushi was almost comparable to that served at one of the ubiquitous buffets - barely okay. Although the service was friendly, it took a ridiculous amount of time to receive two sushi rolls. Our first visit was good and we were quickly served, but then we were sitting at the bar. So perhaps we should not have sat outside for this meal. Very disappointed with our return visit.

Food seems a little off from the 5+ stars when they were at the Madeira Beach location. The Mad Beach location was the best ever sushi. Have been to this location twice and it seems they are still fine tuning the flow of things. They continue to be very busy. Prices are also up. Before they were a little on the high side but worth it. Now, pricey, and unfortunately, I don’t feel it is worth it.

I have eaten at this restaurant since 2003. Ive eaten sushi all over the United States and Europe and have only found one place (in NYC) that can come close. The quality of their fish is unmatched. The staff are personable and very friendly. They also offer Thai food that is excellent. This is a cant-go-wrong restaurant if you like sushi or Thai. Have a sake, sit back, and enjoy the food!

The sushi was great quality. My favorite was the Fujiyama roll! Seaweed salad and Miso soup were perfect appetizers. We went for lunch and the only server was really busy. I dont think the wait was outrageous, but Im also very patient and not in a hurry today. The specialty rolls were $13.95 and up. There are some lunch deals but not on the specialty page.

After eating at both, I just dont understand why anyone would eat at Osaka when Jimmies Sushi is less than three miles away and is far superior on so many levels in quality, price, roll size, variety and service. If you are an Osaka groupie and have never tried Jimmies Sushi then Google it, find it, try it, and see what you have been missing.

Sushi was my favorite food, until recently I had given up on it. All the places in the area competed to get the cheapest price and the quality went waaaay down. All the way down to the point I stopped eating my favorite food. Osaka has restored my faith in good sushi. This is honestly the only sushi restaurant I will eat at in the area.

Was seated quickly, but waitress in big hurry.. asked if we were ok, as she ran by not waiting on answer. Long wait for food. Food was blan, tasteless.. mine barely . Lost warm, lost our credit card. One dish, rice noodles was like mush. Brought the wrong drinks. NO. Would never go back.

Great and delicious food. Sometimes though, there is a wait but usually not. Food can take awhile to come out but only during their busier times. I have ate here and at their original(still open) location Sushi Spot in Largo for over 5 years and I still love their food.

Horrible service, rude inattentive staff. We have tried this place twice since it opened. The sushi came out and was average, the food from the kitchen is terrible, and takes forever. Portions are half of what you would expect, and prices are high.

Great selection of speciality rolls. You can even have them make custom rolls of what you want on them. Have been going there since they opened and always have had excellent service and sushi. Very new and friendly upscale clean environment.

The food was hurendously terrible and sucks, the service seemed to be average but I had to stop eating and throw it away...there was beef inside the tofu Pati and was poorly made. I DO NOT reccomend eating here unless you want terrible food...

The sushi was plentiful and delicious! The establishment itself was not very comfortable, feeling more like a burger joint than sit-down restaurant, which in this case makes the difference between 4 and 5 stars. All good, otherwise.

The service was good and the environment was trendy. Otherwise really disappointed... overpriced, mediocre quality sushi, etc. For people looking for something trendy this might work but for serious sushi lovers this isnt the place.

Service was horrible, food is great. Waitress forgot halve our order. Could not get a beer when I met someone. Not sure where she disappeared to . Untrained too bad, not sure I will return. Btw, was not busy at all.

Food is average to above average, facilities are clean. It is, however, around $1 - $2 more per item than comparable Thai/Sushi places in the same area, which makes it hard to give a higher recommendation.
