We were excited to try this new restaurant, as we have lived in white columns country club in milton for 10 years and lacked local dining options. Dined at CANS last week for dinner, took forever to be seated even though not busy, our waiter Seth was a very nice guy but handicapped by poor service levels everywhere else in the restaurant. Bad 90s rock music was blasting at club level volume, food was presented well but tasted mediocre at best. We didnt finish all of our food, did not drink any alcohol or have desert, and left unsatisfied with the experience. The real trouble began later that evening, as the food made us both extremely sick. After a sleepless night and visit to our doctor, we were both diagnosed with food poisoning. I called to discuss with management, and was handed off to several people who claimed to be managers but would not talk to me, and finally to the owner Larry . Larry was was extremely defensive and rude to me, and refused to investigate or even discuss our serious issue, even though I prefaced that we were not looking for free food/handouts but to merely find out how it could have happened. Larry handled the incident in a very unprofessional manner, and lashed out at me before i had a chance to explain anything. Larry did zero due-diligence in assessing the problem, never asked for details of our visitor the menu selections we made, so we know he did not investigate. Larry had the nerve to tell me he had no idea to determine if i was even at the restaurant, and when i reminded him i would be happy to produce a copy of the credit card voucher he then recanted and became defensive again. It makes me question if he has any management experience at all. Larry even had the gall to tell us, and im quoting him directly " im not going to discuss this , since you cant prove anything. feel free to have your doctor contact me if he can prove our food made you sick, otherwise im not going to do anything. Don t call me again without making an appointment im hanging up now" We were speechless and appalled by this horrific, un professional treatment , lack of empathy, and rudeness by a restaurant owner. I am an executive for a large fortune 500 finance company, travel often, and dine out with clients minimum 4 x per week and have never, ever been treated this badly at a restaurant that made two people very sick.

Cans Taqueria in Milton is my new favorite Taco place in all of OTP North Atlanta. Their fried fish tacos are heavenly! I couldnt get enough. The taco choices are great, there are many options to make them healthy (hello lettuce wrapped tacos) and to make them not healthy (fried fish and fried shrimp tacos for me please). Finally, if you dont at least have one of their homemade Pineapple Tequila drinks, than you really missed out on the experience. PS their Skinny Margarita rivals those of all the best Tequila places in Atlanta. Its very fresh and not sweetend with fake sugar. The wait staff was good, on a weekday they are more attentive, but I dont think they have enough man power to really attend to all the diners they get on the weekend.

I wouldnt recommend supporting this business. The daughter of this establishment Parker Stepp is a complete embarrassment. She is a disturbance to the company, with no regard or respect towards guest whom are dining. It is a disturbing site and embarrasment to see the "drunk" "Im rich I dont care attitude" at the establishment you are dining at. I dont support these situations. I also WILL never support a twenty year old speaking to an elder with no respect. I dont care if its your "daddys" restaurant or not! PAYING guest at the restaurant do deserve respect. A 54 year old women doesnt deserve to see an out of control problematic twenty year old. Very sad that Parker brings drama into the restaurant atmosphere.

My second time there. First time was fine, but last night the service and the food were pretty bad. The waiter was busy chatting with the hostess and paid us a visit only after we "recruited" another waiter to take our order. We ordered a couple of salads and both were in a bad shape - something you would through out at home. We returned one, but the replacement was marginally better. I guess, salads are not their forte. A top-shelf Margarita tasted better during my first visit. This time it was too sweet and I went for a different kind later. The second Margarita never showed up, but was included in the bill.

This place just opened on 5/18, but already you can tell its going to be the place to be! Give it about 2 weeks to get the kinks out and I am sure there will be long waits on the weekends for a table. Food is good, reasonably priced, and authentic; atmosphere is fun and hip; the drinks are fantastic. Only trouble is with the speed of wait staff with ordering and delivery of food, which is to be expected in the first 4 days. Definitely will go back after things settle down. The braised pork tacos are to die for!!

Cans is hands down one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants Ive ever been too. All of the food is without a doubt amazing and dont get me started on the margs!! Owners and staff really treat you like their own and make you feel like youre experience here is worth while. If youre looking for delectable Mexican food or even a night out for some drinks with friends, I highly recommend Cans Taqueria! Will definitely be coming back. Ps- ask for their Peri Peri menu, it is delicious!

The food is decent but make sure youre there two hours or three hours before they close because the kitchen staff seems to close up an hour and a half early every night. Went in there tonight at 8:55. Waiter told us to sit at the bar which seemed odd. Then we sat at a regular table and he came out 5 minutes later to tell us the kitchen was closed and that they had closed up 30 minutes ago. Let me remind you they close at 10 on Sundays. This is ridiculous.

Service was very personable and sweet, if not terribly attentive despite it being a slow time. Food is excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the pulled pork nachos and chicken quesadillas. How any restaurant in Georgia can manage NOT to have sweet tea (or plain simple syrup to make it) is baffling to me, however. Overall, we will return for the excellent food and fun atmosphere, but Ill be sticking to water or alcohol since I dont drink soda.

Ive been here twice and found it oddly dissatisfying both times. This last time was the worst though. Never going back. Things are abundantly more overpriced than other places and of average or lesser quality. For example, slimy lettuce should never happen in a salad. Queso should be served hot -- both times you send it back. Cubana was surprisingly decent though. Service was totally hit or miss.

Me and a few friends tried this place last night and it is great! I mean everything about it is awesome, the staff is very friendly and the food is oh so tasty, the pork quesadillas rock! And Carlos makes a mean Skinny Margarita, Yummo! The restaurant is very open and the decor is hip and trendy. They have a very spacious patio which is a major plus. This place is just lovely!!!!
