Absolutely terrible service. I will never eat at this restaurant, they will not get a single cent from me. I will say the environment looked nice, and the food smelled great, but I never got to taste this food. Having even at all of the great steakhouses in the Atlanta metro (Bones, RC, Mortons, et al), I had never made it to the Capital Grille in my three years living here. I thought it would be a great opportunity to try another great restaurant in Atlanta. Boy was I wrong. I had a reservation for 7:45PM. Upon arrival, I valeted my car. My date and I took the elevator to the 8th floor, and checked in on time. We were told that they were very busy and that there would be a slight delay. It looked a little busy, so I said that it was fine. I had no problem waiting about five minutes (I know I had a reservation, but I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt). My date and I waited and talked and luckily the time passed. When 8:00PM rolled around, I noticed that some people were clearing out, and I thought I would say something at 8:10 if we still were not given our table. At 8:10PM (25 minutes after my reservation time), I asked if I could get a status update. I was told that I would still have to wait "a bit", and when I asked what "a bit" was, I was told at least another 15-20 minutes (as in 40-45 minutes after my reservation time...at a minimum). I promptly left and took my business to another restaurant that maintains a commitment to their clients. Needless to say that I will never take a date, a client, or anybody to this restaurant. They will earn no money from me, and when asked about "top restaurants" from visiting clients, I will advise them to avoid The Capital Grille at all costs. 5 minutes late is doable....a minimum of 40-45 minutes is a gross error and a sign of poor management.

Horrible experience... We booked a private room reservation for a party of 18. We all showed up on time and from the moment we walked in we were being very rushed by the staff. We ordered appetizers, some bottles of wine and got started... The service was slow and none of the staff were accommodating except for our waiter who was very professional. The problem was we only had one guy who cared about a party of 18. We had three very important guests coming straight from the airport to the dinner and showed up after closing time, but before the food came out. We ordered food and drinks for the people who were coming late. The manager refused to allow them in because it was after closing. He was very quick to respond to us negatively, and we told him we will leave if he doesnt let our friends inside. So we left and did not pay for anything. He also did not ask us to pay, that was understood. It was clearly a racial issue... When we left, we tipped the valet generously and he told us "Ive worked here for years and Ive never had the manager come down and take my key fob (elevator access) from me..." So the manager clearly did not like middle eastern people, and made sure that the valet did not have his key fob to allow more of us in the establishment. Very very poor service from The Capital Grille... I believe the manager was mad to see so many young guys ordering the 14oz bone-in filet mignon... We ended up going to another restaurant down the street, with respectful staff and good food. Do not go here...

The food may have been decent...but the HORRIBLE service was so much, that I will gladly write this place off for good. Our server was beyond rude...it was insulting and embarrassing. We were treated as though we were not good enough to be there throughout the entire meal....in the meantime, the restaurant was filled with thugs who couldnt even bother to take off their flat-billed hats. If youre going to charge me $10 for a side of over-cooked asparagus, the least Id expect is an enforced dress code...a little class never hurt anyones business. Our waiters name was Jermaine....and knew nothing about the wine menu, or at least he sure was good at pretending to be clueless. He rushed us through the ordering process. Everything that came out of his mouth was very short and was accompanied by an awful attitude. And the cherry on top....he came over to the crumb the table and swept all the crumbs into my friends lap and caused a kink in the table cloth...when that happened he stood there rolling his eyes until my friend had to straighten out the cloth for him to continue throwing crumbs in his lap. I almost lost it. Never returning to that over-rated restaurant again. There are plenty of other MUCH MUCH better steakhouses/fine dining options in Buckhead.

We were shocked to arrive at the street level elevator lobby at 7 pm to find the area littered with cigarette butts all over the floor, trash and McDonalds food cartons in an overflowing garbage can. The elevator was also littered with trash. This made a terrible impression. We have been customers of Capital Grille many times and this is the worst we have experienced. Our waiter was friendly and personable but his uniform jacket was rumpled with food stains on the front. My husband asked him to have the manager stop by while we were dining. After four requests to see the manager we gave up.He never appeared. The food was just fine. But, we were completed disgusted by the state of the entrance area (and my husband said the mens restroom was messy with paper towels all over the counters and floor). Overall, we were shocked and dismayed at the state of the place. We have never seen it so disgustingly unkempt. We will not be going back to this location. Clearly their standards have fallen to unacceptable levels. The Perimeter Mall location is far better in every respect.

We dined at The Capital Grille this past weekend for our 4 year anniversary, and everything from start to end was PERFECT. They checked our coats when we entered, took us right to our table that they had decorated with heart confetti, served us complimentary oysters, and it just kept getting better. We started with wine and the signature drink, had lobster and crab cakes to start, then clam chowder and the wedge salad, and then our meal. It was unbelievable, the dry rubbed sirloin and the Porcini Rubbed Delmonico with 8-Year Aged Balsamic were out of this world. Then to cap off the evening they gave us complimentary champagne with chocolate espresso cake (wifes favorite part). They also gave her a rose and took our picture and gave it to us in a little picture holder. The service was beyond par. Roselle (spelling) made sure we knew all about everything and never seemed pushy or bothered by us. This was an experience we will not soon forget and will probably make it our anniversary tradition.

When you go to a place with a price tag like this, you have quite high expectations. Capital Grille failed very highly in the service area. Not only were our reservations requests ignored, they placed us next to the waiters drink station, so I was constantly bumped all evening and nearly had a tray of food dumped down my friends back. The waiter took about 10 minutes at the start to tell us everything on the menu as if we were unable to read. The food runners were not polite and arrogantly deliverd the food after asking, "who had the salmon?"... I have gone to chain restaurants that know where the orders go. I had to beg for refills on our drinks. On top of all of this, not one person asked, "How was everything tonight?" I was extremely disappointed and the food was good, but for that price, your high expectations will not be met. There are MUCH BETTER restaurants in Atlanta.
