My first, and LAST, experience with this restaurant!! We waited an hour to be seated (which we expected for a Saturday evening). I went to the bar to get some water for my wife and sister-in-law and a beer for myself. The bartender acted like he didnt want to wait on me; as a matter of fact, he just walked off as if to ignore me! I waited 20 minutes just to get two waters and a beer!! Then, they finally called us to be seated--a table for four. The waiter, Charles, came to get our drink order and what appetizers we decided to get. I gave him my appetizer order of 1/2 dozen Blue Point oysters, to be steamed; my sister-in-law ordered the Greek salad for their appetizer, and Oysters Pappadeaux for the entree. My wife ordered clams for entree, and I ordered Seafood gumbo for my entree. We waited for approximately 25 minutes, then my sister-in-law got the oysters as an appetizer! Our original waiter, Charles, left our table, giving us to another waiter, and went to a table of approximately 15 to serve them! Also, we had to move from our original table because the large table literally crowded us out! Again, we waited for approximately 30 minutes, NEVER RECEIVING ANY SERVICE!! When the manager (I assume) came to our table, he made the statement that there was a lot of confusion and he went to the kitchen and straightened out our order. THIS TOLD ME THAT OUR ORDER HAD NEVER BEEN PUT IN!! I told the manager that we had waited long enough, and to just forget our orders and we would pay for what we had received. He told us to forget it, that he would take care of it. I am not accusing anyone of being racist, but it was a strong coincidence that the bartender and waiters were black, and all at the large table that Charles left us for were black--and we are white!! We drove over 100 miles to experience the cuisine at this restaurant, being told that it was fabulous, and left highly disappointed!! I will never go back to this place, nor will I recommend it to anyone I know!! What a wasted trip!!

I had the WORST experience this evening. The food was great, but the service was extremely poor. I have been dining at Pappadeauxs for well over 10 years, and went there tonight to celebrate my 40th birthday. Couldnt have been a worse choice. I began by ordering a beer. The rest of the table was having water, tea, soda, etc. I stepped out to take a phone call and when I returned, everyone not only had their beverage, but the waiter, was coming back for refills. Still no beer. About 10 minutes later he informs me that they are out of the beer I preferred and takes my order for an alternative. Returns about 10 minutes later. I could have had two at this point. Puts in the order for the food, everything was fine. Food comes out - very disjointed. My 7 year old, was the last to receive his plate and should have been one of the first. This was about 15 minutes after the first plates were served. I received my plate about 5 minutes after the initial drop, and the other half of my order about 10 minutes after the first half. The waiter was making a salad for one of our guest at the table, and ran off in the middle of the process to grab the rest of the orders - I believe he realized he had forgotten. Fortunately, a manager dropped by, recognized the lackluster service and allowed me to voice my opinion about the appalling service. She understood and was gracious to address the issue. The waiter finally returned with everyone elses order - and eventually finished preparing the salad. The manager returned with a gift card and said she would take half off the ticket. I was surprised and thought it was a generous gesture. But, the waiter did not get that right either. We split the bill 3 ways amongst our party of 9 - and only one person was the recipient of the offer. Too, he did not get the tickets out all at once - and nor did he collect them at once. I gave my gift card to my friends as I did not want any reason to have to return - EVER.

I live fairly close to this Pappadeux location and although Im allergic to seafood I love the wedge salad and visit the restaurant quite frequently with clients, friends, and associates who LOVE seafood. Today I suggested Pappadeux for lunch bc my co-workers were craving seafood and unfortunately we had the most horrific dining experience ever. First we asked a waitress if they had any drink specials and she said only if we sat at the bar. We moved to a bar booth only to find out that we could not take advantage of the bar specials until 3pm. Our server walked past a couple of times and one of the other guest advised her that we were ready to order because we were on lunch break. Overall the server, Shakyla, had a very dry unpleasant demeanor, and was very unkind and short. The manager Tim tried to make light of the situation, but he also in my personal opinion failed to accommodate our needs. I was a server and a bartender for over 5 years so I completely understand this industry. Even if a customer upsets you or makes you uncomfortable you should still deliver the best customer service possible. Anytime a person comes to your facility to spend their money you should make it well worth the visit. I have a party planning company and I have sent several reservations to this location and I will no longer suggest your facility. I will also be sure to share this experience with my other co-workers and friends and advise them this may not be the best option for dining.

This company is SHADY! I dont want to support any company that would not give their employees check stubs, lie to them, etc. I dont work there and never have. Apparently they have a manager named Tyler that shouldnt be a manager. He got an attitude with me on the phone and I was a customer!! There was no apology or anything! Then theres a manager that is always rubbing himself when he talks to female employees. The place is a human resources nightmare. How many of yall wanna eat in a restaurant the has raccoons and rats on the property? A company that will demote you if you dont speak spanish? That will allow guys to grab girls butts and harass them, but if you say something they overlook it? They dont like to pay the employees. Never mind that the food is sub-par at best. Most of it you can make at home. I swear if I see another manager walking through that restaurant with a beer or other alcoholic drink in their hand, Im calling the corporate office. And thats a part of the lie. How can you call you business "family owned", and you guys have a corporate office in Texas? The place is just ran totally wrong. ( Once again, Ive never worked there, but the company I work for should probably stop eating there....)

The food here is outstanding! The service, not so much. We waited 35 minutes for a table for 3 people. I went in to use the restroom before we were seated and there were at least 30 tables open. After we were seated, and ordered our drinks, we asked for bread. It never came, but all the tables around us had bread. Once we ordered, it took about an hour and a half to get our food. My friend ordered a certain wine and they brought her the wrong thing. She told them, and they brought another wine which was also wrong. It ended up being a MUCH more expensive wine that you are only supposed to be able to buy by the bottle. They didnt make her buy the bottle, which was good, but, she asked for a small pour, later in the meal, and they never brought it. Once we got our food, she asked for a second cup of salad dressing, and they finally brought it 40 minutes later, after we were finished eating. They did not make sure our glasses stayed full, and when youre eating Cajun food, you need water! It took our waitress 20 minutes after we were finished eating to bring our check, and another 15 after she took our cards. We arrived on a Sunday evening around 6:30 And finally left around 9:20.
