My husband and I went here on Saturday night to celebrate his birthday. This was our first trip here, and we will definitely be back. The experience wasnt perfect, but the staff worked really hard to make it right. I did find it weird that the restaurant is in a Kroger shopping center, but once we were inside, it really didnt matter. When we arrived the place was packed. They could definitely use a bigger location. The atmosphere is cool if you are good with a place thats a little loud. We were 15 minutes early for our 7:00 reservation and Id told them it was important to me that we have a booth. They definitely could use more booths. We didnt get seated until nearly 7:30, but the hostess repeatedly checked on us and made sure I knew she was trying. We had found enough space at the bar to order drinks, so waiting wasnt that dig a deal. I really loved how engaged the staff was and how they kept updating us and apologizing. Thats how you deal with a situation like that and prevent people from getting upset about the wait. Our waitress, Virginia, was hilarious and delightful! When we go back Ill ask for a booth again and ask to be in her section! She made the night so much fun. As for the food, it wasnt cheap, but it was worth it! I saw a couple of reviews that said it was overpriced and I disagree. High quality food isnt cheap. The oysters are a must have! They were fresh and delicious. My husband had the crab and he loved it. They had a foie gras appetizer that I had as an entree and it was amazing, like buttery-texture melt-in-your mouth amazing! We had the mushrooms and the lobster mac and cheese. Youre missing out if you dont try them both. Since it was Hubbys birthday they gave him rice pudding, loved it, and we had the sea salt caramel gelato. It was really good. I definitely recommend this place. The only thing that kept me from 5 stars was the wait and how crowded it was up front. Make a reservation and be prepared for a crowd. And ask for Virginia!

With our recent move to Atlanta from South Carolina, I was thrilled to have an "Oyster Bar" in my area, as I have been eating seafood of every type imaginable since I was a child. My husband and I entered and were pleasantly surprised by the decor. Its "swank", I would say, and had a bar and booths which felt relaxed. Based on recommendations from reviews, as well as our own tastes, we had several things. The truffle fries as an appetizer were thin, crisp, covered with parmesan and reminiscent of truffle. These were by far the best dish of the evening. I had 2 dozen raw oysters of various types and they were so-so in quality. . .which disappointed me only because they were at least $2 each! We had the mussels in white wine sauce, which were HORRID. In fact, they smelled terrible and tasted foul, as in spoiled. We immediately sent them back, however could not get the spoiled taste out of our mouth for days. I had the tilapia cooked meniere style, which was terribly overcooked, dry, and somewhat fish-y in taste. All in all, my husband wanted to give this place only one star because along with this terribly unsatisfying meal was an exorbitant price tag. Im not kidding you, this place is way overpriced, especially for this quality of preparation. Im giving it two stars because the ambiance is nice as were the truffle chips. Steer clear from the seafood here, however. . .I can cook it better at home. . .and so can you.

I am literally crying as l write this review!!!!!! I had the most racist experience today that Ive ever had. Ive never been to this restaurant, but I googled seafood and it popped up so I decided to give it a try. The hostess was a Caucasian lady with red hair a little passed her shoulders. She looked at me like I was a diseased rodent. Mind you, I am a business professional coming from work so my appearance was as such. But this hostess was so racist towards me.e She was rude, throwing my menu at me and then apologizing to two white men for having to sit next to me. She actually gave me the side eye while speaking to them. Saying and I quote, "Im sorry there isnt any booths left". As if I was some foul smelling hobo that these gentlemen were HAVING to sit next to. I asked my waiter (Rommel), for my food to go, I had had enough and I felt uncomfortable and disrespected. He came back and advised that the manager, (who didnt even think I was important enough to address him or herself), apologized and offered to give me my food for free. I paid for my drink and bottled water and tipped my waiter $30.00. When I got to the car I realized, that to add insult to injury, the portion of food that was given was so small that it was to clearly shut me up and send me on my way. The experience was horrible. Im surprised that this is the treatment in Atlanta, GA in 2017. I will not be returning!!!!

Im giving five stars although I think they need to pay better attention to removing items from the table. I had the broiled lobster and my husband had the swordfish, both delicious. We also had the mussels and were NOT disappointed. Our server was very personable but you could tell she was swamped. I think the guys in the white coats should have been helping out more. They were constantly walking around empty-handed while empty glasses and plates were sitting on our table. It was just two of us so we got the super small table and there wasnt enough room at all. The bread basket and my empty glass of wine stayed until we left. The hostess staff was great and very friendly. We will definitely come back here.

We didnt find this place to be special or nice at all. The people werent rude but werent really nice or friendly either. They put their tables so close together we felt like we may as well have been joining the parties on the two sides of us because we could hear every word of theirs and they could hear every word of ours. The food was kind of bland. We felt it was really overpriced for what we got. We also didnt get any more water to go along with that overpriced food. We got more after we were all done eating. Not acceptable for how much they are charging. Dont waste your time or money going here. Go to canoe instead, seriously.

Five star all the way, fresh oysters, amazing steak - better than pretty much any other steak place. The tequila shots on the other hand, zero stars, they have one brand and they charge $15/shot which is ludicrous - patron is $8-$10. Why $15? Whatever... the steak I had was unbelievable Perfect flavor, fresh meat and prepared perfectly temperature wise. This place is pricey but when only the best will do... youll find yourself happy here. I dont like the location though, this quality deserves a better location. This is not strip mall food is all Im saying.
