We were up for Jeepfest this past weekend and Saturday night around 8:45 we went there to eat. It took the waiter 30 mins after we sat down just to get our drink order then another 30 mins we waited for him to take our food order; he took the order and we thought we would get something to eat in a reasonable time frame another hour went by and in the meantime right in front of our table a gentleman fell down the steps which caused for 911 to be there and work on him now during all this no one bothered to check on our food or say anything to us about dinner. I have a mechanical mitral valve and I have to eat after I take my medicine well I took my medicine before we left the hotel and ate 2 crackers thinking I would eat shortly. Nope then I got in an argument with the waiter because our food still hadnt arrived and told him for the second time I wanted the Manager now. The security guy ended up getting the Manager for us. We explained to him what had occurred and my boyfriend told him we were done we had enough still no food then part of the order came out after my boyfriend got involved and the pizza that was ordered by the other couple wasnt cooked properly and they even got that wrong. At this point we were really upset and the manager said he would fix the problem still no food its going on 10:30 pm. My boyfriend told the manager we wanted our ticket we wasnt putting up with this anymore; the manager got the ticket and still charged us for the 4 drinks we had. And on top of all this the blood that was on the floor right in front of our table where the guy fell down the steps stayed there for 30 mins before anyone decided to clean the floor. The manager didnt even comp the bill at all. Very upset at this restaurant for handling things so poorly and still not getting us what we ordered and it be cooked all the way through. We waited about 2.5 hours for our food we never got. We wont ever come back here again. Poor service, and management.

Bartenders and staff are great. They have one of those juke boxes that plays just any song you can imagine. I put my $5 in and played my songs. Well, the owner comes in to observe and haggle her staff (Im sure) and her husband turns off the music I played!!! Just because their old, out of touch selves didnt like it. They proceeded to turn on some way-groovy Simon and Garfunkel for the largely youthful customers. When I confronted her and told her that she had a juke box, which allows PAYING CUSTOMERS to pick what music they want to hear, and I had put money in it, she just shrugged her shoulders. I shouldve explained to her that now I understand why your business rarely has more than three people in it while bars around you flourish. Its not about what YOU want, its what THE CUSTOMER wants. Heil Frau Party Pooper!!!

This place looks cool but was anything but cool. Was looking forward to a good meal and a drink after a long day of hiking up hills and walking the river catching trout. Prices were fair, mixed drinks well made. This is a smoking establishment but offers outdoor seating. The place was not okay on being clean but not that great. The service was good however the kitchen staff was not present it took over an hour to get the food and then it was served only warm at best. Asked to see the manager was not they were not present we got the to the beer drinking Bouncer insted. He offered up a free drink or desert that we NEVER got. A couple days later a friend checked his bill and we were over charged, which is credit card FRAUD. This place should be a gold mine but it is poorly run and staffed.

Our family ate here since it was right behind our hotel - Country Inn & Suites. The servers were great, but the food was horrible. My husband ordered fish & chips, the batter was still doughy so he refused to eat it. My daughter wanted broccoli as a side and they seasoned it, so we asked for some unseasoned and they brought it to us. We had to sit downstairs because upstairs was the bar and they allowed smoking up there. The restrooms were next to our table, so we got to watch the drunken people fall or stumble down the stairs to get to the restrooms. Back at the hotel, our room was on the same side as the bar. They kept the music and noise up til they closed, keeping me from sleeping. Wont be coming back to eat here.

Well to all the people that arent satisfied with Hayloft in HELEN GA I want to say that you need to try it once more cause Carlos and Jessica own it now n they are the nicest and helpful people I have ever met n I have been coming here for a long time n the people that had it before them didnt really care but the new owners have better staff to help keep you happy and in the loop n please come back and enjoy the food cause its changed and if you come during the day its better cause there is hardly a wait on urefood but the weekends are so much fun n I am that Carlos and Jessica has it now or I wouldnt be up here so just come back and you wont be disappointed this time.

This is a tale of two bars. We stopped by the Hayloft for an afternoon break and it was quite nice and seemed like a fun place. So we decided that we would go back to the Hayloft after spending some time at the Festhaus. Mind you we were in town during Oktoberfest. WOW, did this bar change into a really strange place and not in a good way. The patrons seemed really uninviting, the place was very cramped and we felt very out of place. Since it was Oktoberfest in a German town, we dressed up in lederhosen, but when we got to the Hayloft, people treated us like we were out of place. We left after a short visit.

My husband and I visited during Thanksgiving weekend 2014. It was our last night in town and the Hayloft was only a block from our room. The atmosphere is not child friendly. They allow smoking on the upper floors. The service was terrible, no hostess and we didnt see anyone for nearly 6 minutes. HOWEVER, the food was amazing! My husband ordered the Bratwurst platter and really enjoyed it. I ordered the spinach salad, it was also very good. (once they got the order correct) Visit them for the food, but dont go expecting great service and leave the kiddos at home!

This place was awful. I was with a bachelorette party and we had just sat down to get a drink. We were trying to decide what to get and the bartender rudely asked us to get up because we were taking up his bar space even though we were the only ones besides maybe two people at the bar. He was horrible and continued to be rude until we left. The daughter of the owner was behind the bar too and was consistently rude too. It was terrible and and this place doesnt deserve to have even one star. Yes, please avoid it!
