I have eaten at this location for many years and have never had an issue with any part of a meal. I was there on saturday October 17 at about 2:45 p, the restaurant was not busy what so ever. The waitress was fine until her comment about the biscuits being like concrete, I could not even bite it. Both of us in our group ordered one of the 3 course meals the food was fine it was the desserts that gave us the food poisoning. The baking mix may have been a year out of date. The brownie was burnt and so laden with salt I am still feeling "pickled" from it, the other dessert was an apple crisp which had even more salt in it with the metallic taste of bad baking powder almost put this person in the hospital, thank god that they vomited most of it out but they are still bed ridden from it today. The worst part is that the manager on duty when I called to inform of this basically stated "...you should have informed me of this before you left and I would have done something about it", well you so called management type person you could have made a better attempt while I was on the phone. The health department was called upon to go and inspect the kitchen. Personally I will never go near a Folks restaurant ever again, I suggest that those who read this do the same. Seventy-Two hours later and I am still not feeling 100%, the person with me is still having a fever and flu-like symptoms. I have what seems to be an upper respiratory infection. So it may not have been the dessert, more like someone does not wash their hands or likes to pick their nose. This is pure food poisoning! I hope the management person I spoke with at corporate fires all of the filthy people in that kitchen.

Four of us at lunch. Only five tables with customers. slow service. Asked what the soup was for the day. Then ordered soup bowl by pointing to large picture in menu. Waitress brought chicken pie which I ate. Brought other person at table wrong food also. We ate it with no complaints then was billed for chicken pie that I did not order. Manager came out trying to explain that I ordered wrong. Showed him picture that was 4X6 in size and said I pointed to this when ordering. How could I have ordered wrong? He agreed and billed for soup bowl. Not sure he believed me. Was last trip for us. We eat out five days a week at lunch and have always liked Folks but we are done with them. Sorry Folks....

Southern comfort food. I came to Folks on a Sunday and surprisingly it was not busy at all. I ordered the $9.99 special which was 2 piece fried chicken and macaroni and cheese and green beans with a peach muffin. The chicken was pretty good, but nothing spectacular about it and the macaroni was okay. The best part of my meal was the peach muffin! Super good. Do not get the biscuit--it is hard and dry. The customer service was good and the meal was less than $25 for two people with tip. Great choice if you are looking for a Sunday dinner cuisine priced about $10 a person.

Horrible !!! Waiting in drive thru for an hour...for a littleside and little catfish.. the Women didnt even know what we ordered. She asked us what we ordered .then didnt even give me my sons drink. I called to speak to the manager and a women answered the phone and blamed the hour wait on (its hectic up there for those girls) .that has nothing to do with me. Hire some people that actually are working and not standing around eating and running outside to smoke..horrible experience..was my first and last.. do not waste your time and money..go elsewhere !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered the brunswick stew that had plastic in it!!!. Called the manager, said he was sorry, but couldnt compensate me for it. I wanted a meal on the house. After trying to clear my throat for 2 days, I called corporate. She said "sorry, but it wont hurt you". What!!!!? These people know nothing about customer service. DO NOT EAT THERE!! They dont deserve a star. Im taking my complaint elsewhere, because they shouldnt be in business!!!

Somewhat rude and inattentive waitress. She took our order and basically disappeared, when she did return she never looked at our table, which there were only about four occupied tables in the whole restaurant. Finally got refills to our drinks after we waited nearly a half hour for the food and the refills had floaties in it. Food was OK, but nothing great. Probably wont be back to this location.

I couldnt help but notice the previous review posted on 10/17 regarding food poisoning from desserts. My family and I had a couple 3-course meals with brownie and apple crisp later that evening. The desserts were wonderful and we didnt experience any type of food poisoning. We love this place and have been going for many years and will continue to come back a couple times a month.

We stopped in for dinner. Two ladies who appeared to worked there totally ignored us, not even to say someone will be right with us. I guess the three couples dinning was to much to handle one more couple. Its no wonder theyre empty and every other restaurant has a wait time to get in. In the future we wont come back love the food but service and manners are totally absent!

Service was okay, food was mediocre. We waited for 45 minutes before our food was brought out....which was fine because it was Sunday and very busy. What rubbed me the wrong way, was that our food was cold. Also, the table next to us food was brought out cold as well. That is just ridiculous! Management, please do better than this!

Well for starters the waitress was a little on the rude side. It was about 5 minutes after my family received their food before I received mine. In order to figure out this inconvenience I had to talk to the manager. I do not recommend this folks restaurant.

There was no heat at the restaurant. It was very hard to enjoy to food. Plus the waitress brought out the entree first then forgot the bring out the starter. First and last time going to Folks ever again. Extremely very disappointed!!!!!

The food is pretty good but you have to get it first and the order has to be correct. Honestly, my family placed a call in order and not only has it taken over an hour to get but it was wrong. This is ridiculous.

The food is very good. The service not so much. Calles them 25 minutes ahead and had to wait another 35 minutes after I got there to pick up my to-go order. I asked to speak to the manager and she took care of me.
