Okay so Im not one to write a google review but this one time I decided must be atleast put out there for maybe people higher up in the hiring department will see it. I visited Top Golf on Friday, June 9th. It was my first time there and I was excited to see what all the hype was about.... first off I will give credit where credit is due..... with that being said, the lady at the front desk signing me up and our waiter were both EXTREMELY AWESOME and our food was great and brought out promptly. BUT when we first got all settled in, my friend and I went down to the bar to get drinks for our table, now I dont know if they just didnt like us or if the bartenders there just dont know the difference between a real or fake ID but apparently it was "policy" for their manager to approve all IDs. Now I would have believed that up until three girls sat right down next to us and were promptly IDed and served their drinks.... But meanwhile my friend and I had been waiting 15 minutes just for our IDs to get approved. After about 20 mins we approached our bartender and asked if we could just get our drinks brought up to our table because at this point we were wasting a good portion of our hour we just payed for. so after another 15 mins or so the manager approaches me and informs me that they are not allowed to serve me because my ID was fake(which indeed it was not). So after showing her my permit, and two other expired licenses she STILL insisted it was fake and would not serve me. Keep in mind Ive wasted almost 45 mins of one of our hours at this point. So finally she agrees to go get someone else to "check" it. BUT seconds later she appears with a nice gentlemen that just takes her word for it and believes it is fake. So after showing him and her(again) my other forms of ID and my social security card the man gets embarrassed and agrees to check it himself. so here I am after arguing with a VERY RUDE "manager" ,upset and really just wanting to leave at this point.. when the nice gentlemen reappears by himself and apologizes many many times and says to me "our manager was reading the book wrong". after an hour of dealing with this and basically wasting our first hour he offers to PERSONALLY buy my drink. Which apparently they arent suppose to do. Which im sorry thanks for the drink and all but I believe after I was treated so rudely by that woman SHE should have been the one to come own up to HER mistake and she should have been the one buying my drink. SO AFTER ALL THAT HAS BEEN SAID AND DONE, fire your incompetent manager or atleast hire a manager who can apologize for her mistake and rude attitude. Oh and idk after wasting over an hour of our time and being treated so rudely by this manager, ONE beverage does not help make me leave their happy.

First, let me say that this is a fantastic place for fun. The design, layout, concept and overall atmosphere is first rate. Given their rates for playing, one would expect that to be the case. This was my first visit along with three friends on a crowded, Saturday evening but the place was big enough that it did not feel crowded. Only the wait (90 minutes) for a hitting bay reminded me of just how crowded they were. We were OK with the wait as we wanted food & drinks first. This unfortunately is why Im rating the experience so low. We were greeted in a timely manner and our drinks came fast but the food was another story. We ordered the flatbread pizza, a burger and some gumbo. The pizza and burger arrived a bit later than what it shouldve and it took the gumbo another 20 minutes to arrive at the table. We later put in an order for a cobb salad which was supposed to have grilled chicken included but when it arrived at the table...no chicken. I felt compelled at the time to alert a manager about all of the disappointments for which he agreed to accommodate us for the mishaps...that Im certainly appreciative of that, but if you took care of me in the first place we wouldnt have to go that route. As for the food itself, pretty decent but not spectacular by any stretch. I received my text for a hitting bay, went to the concierge stand to receive my bay assignment, but when I went to that location, I was greeted by another party who was given that bay ahead of me, because they also experienced some sort of delay in their assignment. They too were not very pleased with the experience up to that point. I headed back to the concierge to get another bay assignment and after a few minutes of delay was finally able to hit some golf balls. The four of us enjoyed the gaming experience so that did salvage the evening somewhat (a few more drinks helped of course). As I left for the evening though, all I kept thinking about was what a great place this can be provided that the quality of the experience lives up to expectations and costs. Ill give them another try in hopes that things will go smoother the next time. If not, that will more than likely be my second and last visit. =========== 10/20/2014 [update]: I gave this place that second try I ended the last review with and unfortunately they failed. This time, I visited the Dallas, TX location and the same problems I expd with the Alpharetta location existed here. Tells me the issues are company wide and I refuse to throw more money at this place.

Its quite a far drive for anyone who works and lives in the city. It took me almost an hour to get there from Midtown in the middle of the day on a Friday. Once I arrived I spent 20 minutes trying to park- which is absurd. This is a fairly new facility in Alpharetta, there should be plenty of parking. Instead I saw cars parked on the curb, in the grass, and Valet parking people having to do make the lot a tetris puzzle. Once you walk in- Its overwhelming: 3 levels, stairs to the left and right, people everywhere, waiters with food, kids running by, a few computers and front desks with staff! A friendly face immediately appears to ask if I need help almost immediately. OF COURSE I DO! They gave excellent directions to where my group was, amazingly I didnt get lost. Major Pitfall: They serve Pepsi products. Atlanta is not the place to do that. They have a huge menu and everything we had was delicious. The equipment to play golf was a little confusing so I just watched. They are building another location in Midtown Atlanta- Hopefully they get the parking and beverage situation right this time.

The facility is great. Was disappointed when we showed up on a Saturday afternoon around 1:45 and were told that it would be a 3 hour wait for a lane. We were going there for a birthday party and it was only a group of 6 people. Waited about 1/12 hours for the lane which was fine but it seems that hey were turning away business by telling people a 3 hour wait. did not make sense. We enjoyed going here but had the worst service. Took about 20 to 30 minutes to get drinks and when they came they were not what we ordered. They ran out of a mixer but did not tell us for 30 minutes and then had to wait again about 20 minutes for our drinks. Then we find out that they are training a bunch of new staff on a Saturday? I understand that people need to be trained but not on one of the busiest days of the week. We will go back but I only hope that the service is better next time. everyone in our group spend at least $100 that day and we expected the service to be better.
