When this IHOP opened, like everyone, my wife and I were excited to see another restaurant in covington. We went a few weeks after the grand opening to let the major crowds slow down. We were sat in a reasonable time and ordered our food. It took so long for them to get our food out. Of course the food was good but service was extremely slow. So we decided we would not go back. We unfortunately were at Walmart shopping and decided to try IHOP again since it had been more than a year since our last visit. We walk in and the first thing I noticed is that the whole restaurant has a awful smell ( kinda like smelly feet ). We were once again sat quickly and order was taken. We literally waited for 45 minutes for our food. We were told several times our food was coming. Finally our server told us our food was up and in the window and she was going to get it. We waited another 10 minutes and got up. We went to cash register where our waitress was hanging out doing absolutely nothing. We asked for manager. As we waited there was 2 other tables that was all sitting in same area that also got up. While we continued to wait on manager to come up one older lady said she wanted to pay for her cup of coffee. Her waiter gave her her ticket as she handed him her credit card. The waiter was trying to hurry and run her card hoping she would not look at the ticket but she did. He was trying to charge her credit card for the full meal of $23. But she caught it and said she was not paying for the food. He said he had to get the manager to take off the food. He goes to the back and brought back the hostess and try to tell the lady that her food was about to be up. So in a nut shell the service is extremely slow, management is terrible and they try to lie to you to keep from leaving. Maybe if they got rid of the high schoolers and prepare accordingly they might be OK. I would not give them a 1 star but that is as low as I could rate them. I will never go back. I will drive the extra 10 min to Conyers to get good service and fit service.

Covington, GA location is very slow regarding wait time to receive our meals, but the waiters were very polite and kept drinks full and checked on us. If I eat IHOP food in the future, Ill get it to go. We arrived here at 9:03pm and our meal (2) arrived after being seated for 30 minutes. Its almost 10pm and just began to eat. Was not busy for a Friday night but perhaps the cook was on break? Not sure. Food is great but dont come hungry. You may end up nawing on your arm.

Friendly staff, fast food service but the A C is way too low, within 5 minutes of my TBONE, scrambled eggs and bacon was serve my food was cold the butter would not even soften on the pancakes, just imagine eating cold pancakes. Had to go to the car and grab a sweater. If I pay for food I must be able to eat it while warm and not expected to eat it in 5 minutes. Too cold in there, friends were right in driving to the one on exit 84 instead.

Waitress needs additional training. We ordered, she came back 15 minutes later to retake our order. We asked for sugar-free syrup when we first ordered and reminded her 3 times eventually I had to go ask someone for it since our food was on the table. Asked for our bill, that took another 10 minutes. The room we were sitting in smelled old, dirty and musty.

The food is typical IHOP fare and very tasty. However, where this particular restaurant fails is in the speed of its service. It is very, very slow. Slow to get waited on, slow to get your food and slow to get your check. It is so slow that my wife prefers to eat at the Conyers location when she feels like IHOP.

A very slow Monday with very little in the way of customers maybe 4 set in the entire building. My food came out cool and no season on the red potatoes pancakes never can out. Set back the entire meal Over all a very bad midday lunch experience will not be coming back to this location ever again.

Mixed experience- awesome server- Sabrina...right on top of things.. Caught an issue with my order and was very attentive...kitchen messed up twice-BUT they were very apologetic and made it right. Everyone has an off day once in a while- the important thing is being willing to fix it.

It seems every time we come to this location the servers have some sort of issue. Slow service including recieving your food. The manager took our server and held him up for twenty minutes while we waited with no drinks. You would think he would be more concerned with the customers!

I go often....the employees are excellent. They have a great attitude about customer service. Carrvon is my waitress today and she makes me want to order everything on the menu. Shes great...but they all are! The food is awesome as well. Thanks for a great experience!

Pretty good IHOP location. Usually the wait isnt too long for food. On one visit I was served obviously over cooked fries and I was dissapointed they served them to me. I immediately requested another order. Besides minor hiccups like that I like this spot.

The food was nice but, when I was eating my eggs I found an small bug on my plate. Then, the manger said sorry and extra stuff and left and gave us a 20% discount. Also the manager said he does not know where the bug came from, which makes it even scarier!

The place was immaculate and the servers were so sweet that i think i hot a cavity. I was served by a Miss Julia and her supervisor. My food was great and my servers were attentive. I highly recommend this IHOP

The young woman with glasses and the dark hair was so pleasant....she was working the cash register and the manager seemed nice too...my order was correct and came fast and the restaurant was clean

The food is good. The only reason for the 4 star rather than a 5 star is the service can be pretty slow at times.
