I live very close to this place, and have eaten there several times. The woman at the front is always very kind, and I enjoy speaking with her. But as a restaurant, its always a hit or a miss, and when I say that I mean sometimes its ok, and sometimes youre going to find a bug or two in your food. On a couple occasions now we have found fruit flies in our egg drop soup. I have ordered the Mongolian beef lunch frequently and half of the time it taste like the sauce has had burnt cooking oil added to it. Ive also had the egg drop soup a few times were it has tasted like burnt oil was added. Overall, Ill gladly drive the extra ten minutes to travel to Lucky Key if Im in the mood for quality Asian cuisine. If Im in a rush, I call canton house and cross my fingers that it wont be terrible. Maybe Cam will chime in on this and give some sort of explanation on why there would be insects in the food, as well as the burnt taste that it has 50% of the time. Thanks ahead of time Cam!

Great food I did take out so I cant say what it was like for dinning there. Very friendly easy to order even when I didnt know what was on the menu. Food was so good to me I had the lo mein food was fresh. Price was good and I got a lot. Theres just one problem I live in Dawsonville. I had to check there website to see if they have another Ruesterant closer. I go down that way once in a blue moon. I was raised over off of Peachtree industrial behind Oglethorpe College. Dawsonville has great places to eat their growing getting more and more wonderful restaurants in here but I have to say there are still some awesome restaurants inside 285 the perimeter.Canton House please open a Ruesterant up are way with the same quality of food. Dont open one around the Rice restaurant off of Keith Bridge Road. Stay away from Deer if you open a business because you will have some serious competition there they have great food also but anywhere else youll succeed in my opinion.

Eat ALL The Things! Even though there was quite a crowd in the lobby (@ 11:30a Sunday), the staff gets you seated much more quickly than you would expect. The dining hall looks huge and its packed. Then the dim sum carts roll up... a relentless procession of deliciousness. Do I want the things? Yes, give me each of the things! Slow cooked pork bun? Of course! Beef dumplings? Why not? Crab, are you kidding me? Get in my face! Chicken feet? Couldnt hurt. This madness goes on for several carts, until the 6th or 7th cart. Then my stomach gives me tap on the shoulder - "Hey man, this is awesome and all, and you know youre my boy, but we hit a wall ten minutes ago and things are about to get embarrassing". So, reluctantly, I agree to surrender and fight another day. Setting my chopsticks down, I proclaim to my wife "I regret NOTHING!" And neither will you... go there and eat all the things :)

Full fledged cantonese dim sum restaurant. They have a pretty good selection of food from all the basics like shrimp and beef dumplings, abalone, turnip cakes and taro balls just to name a few things. You have to ask for beef, shrimp or shrimp rice noodle dishes as they dont have a cart with these items moving around the floor. They need to work on the service as it is pretty bad, they hire alot of young kids to work the restaurant and they do a bad job going to each and every table in sequence. I had to get up and walk to carts to pick dishes which i dont mind doing occasionally but not for every dish. In addition its hard to get refills on drinks like water or tea I had my water glasses filled exactly one time towards the end of the meal. They do have some tasty dishes and the best on buford off 85 but there are other places towards pleasant Hill Road that better dim sum.

The food is good but DO NOT buy their Moon Cake, horrible and waste the money. We was evacuated from Irma Hurricane. Our relative recommended Canton House as the best Dim Sum in GA. The Dim Sum was good so we bought a box of Moon Cake (fruit and 2 eggs York) for $40. The price is high however we bought it anyway cause of the reputation of the restaurant. It turned out to be horrible but my relative wont let me returned it cause my relative knew the owner. I really dont care, if I pay twice as much for something I expect it to worthy. We was group of 5 adults and 2 children visited on 09/09/2017 for $110.65 for the food and $40 cash for the Moon Cake. Dont make the same mistake I did!!!

I *wish* someone wouldve asked us if we wanted menus. The stuff from the carts seems exceptionally asian and not for your typical "chicken & broccoli" eater (even tho I enjoy many foods, when it comes to chinese, I guess I stick with some type of meat and vegatables in a brown or hunan sauce). My sister is a vegatarian and there was nothing in the carts for her. The waitstuff speak extremely little english and never recommended anything else. If its your first time there, go with someone who knows, cuz otherwise you are very in the dark. Also there is a horrible stench of sterno/propane/carbon monoxide from the carts, ive felt sick since I left. Maybe order out??

The food was pretty good and of high quality however that does not make up for the many other flaws of this place. Firstly, the staff is not the best not helpful at and will dont describe what the dim sum items are. They would just say what the items are in very broad terms, such as calling beef shot ribs, beef or chicken legs (ewww) chicken. Second, the atmosphere is very stuffy and empty. The ambiance is not welcoming and the dining experience was extremely awkward for the duration of the meal. In conclusion, only go here if you are familiar with the various types of dim sum and if you dont mind an awkward ambiance. That being said, the food was tasty.

This is my favorite place for dim sum in Atlanta. While the quality arguably might not be the best, its still really good. Where they make up for that is in the huge selection of items. I have not been to another place in Atlanta with a selection that comes close to theirs. All of the shumai and dumplings you can think of, and then some. Great steamed buns. Taro root whatever galore. Chicken feet, salt and pepper squid, Chinese broccoli... the list goes on and on. Oh, and they do dim sum everyday for as long as theyre open. Cant beat that! Plus, their normal menu is full of tasty dishes too.

Came here today, I spend $11,- in total. One; I wanted to leave asap, because of the loud music on the other side of the restaurant... two: the dimsum was limited, I only had a few choices. I picked the shrimp in batter (medium-sized) not very delicious, saw some dirt in the shrimp too. .. nothing special really. My husband picked out some meat (small-sized), he said its good but he didnt like the price for it. Well thats dimsum for you. Small and pricey. Tea is $1,- which we didnt know, its always free somewhere else. The place is not clean, my tea glass had oil stains in the inside.
