Consistent taste in food. Best Thai food there is in Ohio. Also has the most delicious hamburgers. The restaurant is owned and operated by one person. She gets to know the customers and prepares the Food to order in front of you. The place looks like it came out of the 50s but place has a friendly feeling to it. The owner makes sure everything is prepared correctly and follows all the Food Safety Regulations and Health Department Regulations. There is no cross contamination. the griddle is cleaned thoroughly right after cooking anything on it. and raw meat is cooked separately from everything else and hands are washed after everything. Service is Great on where after first visit the owner will ask you if you want the same thing or want something different. This Restaurant gets a 10 out of 10 stars.

If you want fast food, go to McDonalds. If you want overpriced mainstream Thai food, go to that other Thai place in the Oregon District. If, however, you want excellent Thai dishes prepared to order - go to White Lotus. Many people have said "it takes too long." If youre the 10th person waiting in line, yes. It takes longer. Food is cooked to order, IN order. And youll like it. Its inexpensive and its damn good. One of the greatest "unknowns" in southwestern Ohio. I eat here frequently, and have NEVER had bad food. Sometimes Ive waited 20 minutes to get it, but thats OK. Its worth the wait.

I went here for the first time after searching for someplace ethnic in downtown Dayton. Ive been to Thai 9, its great, but a bit pricey. I think this is an awesome establishment, a tiny diner that serves amazing Thai food and burgers. Everything is made to order, so be patient. Its just like eating homemade, if my mom was a cute Thai mom that is! I enjoyed the food, the clientele were all friendly, and the chef/owner/waitress is fabulous! Definitely a fantastic find in Dayton. Your order even comes with a little sass if you ask for it;)

Absolutely amazing experience here today. I had the thai basil and the wife had the yellow curry. Both where phenomenal. But the best part was interacting with the owner/cook. She was great, and took such good care of us. We came at a down time between dinner and lunch and she even offered to hold our baby for a few minutes when she was fussy and we were eating. She definitely did not have to do that. It was a great time and I will definitely be back!

Ordered spring rolls and pad thai, spring rolls were great along with sweet and sour sauce. However, the pad Thai was drenched in soy sauce and so salty we could barely eat it. We asked for some sweet and sour to balance out the flavor and were charged upwards of $4 for the sides of sauce- after she already charged our card and didnt mention it would be more than our receipt. For two pad Thai, and two spring rolls our total was $30. Way overpriced.

Love it! Went to the White Lotus with my wife. It took the cook/owner about 20 minutes to cook a burger and an order of fries for us (the wife and I split the meal between us), but it was worth it - the food was delicious!!! Im going back to try some Thai! Went there today (3-26-2012). The wife had the awesome burger and fries and I tried the Pad Thai (6 out of 10 on the hottness scale). AWESOME!!!

Great place, great service, great food. My wife and I eat there as often as we can. The portions for the price is awesome, and everything is prepared fresh. The cook/waitress/owner is a character befitting of the neighborhood mom archetype, and her food will make you feel right at home. If youve got a cold, her Thai noodle soup will make you feel better within hours.

White Lotus certainly doesnt have the atmosphere that nearby Thai 9 boasts, but the quality of Thai food is just as good, if not better. Whether it be their pad thai, pad se-ew, curry, or coconut soup, this place has never disappointed me. While they also serve American burgers and fries, Ive never actually ordered anything but their Thai food because its amazing.

I love going to lunch here! The owner/chef is like your little Thai auntie cooking up some of your favorite meals. I LIVE for the red curry (Im a creature of habit) & if youve got a friend who isnt as adventurous, she makes a damn good burger too. I dont eat anyone elses Thai but here! A MUST every time Im in downtown Dayton. I cant recommend this place enough!

Pad thai is consistantly good, but only occasionally great. I switched to the YumBurgers after seeing others eat them - wow, that is a darn good burger. No preformed patties here. Nice thick bacon if thats the way you like it. Single chef/bartender/everything means service can be slow but she keeps it lively with little quips and put-downs. Highly recommended.

The woman who runs this fine little Thai restaurant is a gem of the Gem City as is White Lotus. Very good food and a fun atmosphere make this a winner. I have only eaten off their Thai menu which is wonderful but someday I plan on trying one of their hamburgers which many people say are great. Check em out!

I work next door at the library and love to order from here! Her Thai food is exceptional and as others have said, the burgers and fries are awesome too. The lady that owns and works the place is hilarious and visiting her and chatting is half the fun of the visit! I really cant recommend this place enough.

I wish i could go more. The owner is the only employee so it takes a while for the food to be cooked and served but it is more than worth the wait. If you get on her good side she is a pretty funny lady. Try the burger. It is the best in dayton and not just saying that because it is a thai restaurant.

A great spot in Dayton! Wonderful food. Highly recommended. The lady is super nice and super serious. The reality is that the place can get pretty busy during lunch and some people come in and get upset because of the wait. So consider your time needs before deciding on this spot. But, wow, the food.

I love this place. It feels like my kitchen only with excellent food. The owner cooks and if she is busy you may need to wait as she takes you in the order you come in...one at a time. If you have the time, it is definitly work the stop and once you try it you will be a repeat customer....like me!

Youve gotta experience this place to know how awesome it is. The owner is awesome, and she makes amazing food. Im sure the Thai food is awesome, but I always get a burger. Theyre so delicious. Just be aware, she will probably give you some attitude! But thats just part of the fun.

I work about a block and a half away and have passed this place untold times. Finally worked up the courage to stop in and have a meal, good decision. The Pad Thai was great, but the three other dishes I saw prepared also looked fantastic. I will be back in there soon.

A very small kitchen with a single worker makes for a long wait during a meal rush. If there are more than two people ahead of you, its best to find somewhere else to eat. The food was good, but not spectacular.
