We were on our way back from Orlando. And the wife and kids was getting restless . I seen the billboard on 95 north Copper Pig bbq and at the end of the sign I seen live baby aligators. So we stopped by and my wife was so excited that they had baby gators. When we went across the little bridge the kids seen the baby gators and was going crazy. As we go inside we was greeted and looked in the restaurant. This place was awesome well lit. It took us ten minutes to order our food. Because we was to busy scoping out the restaurant. But order our food had some shine. The waitress was great. The boys rode the wild hog and after that the kids feed the baby gators. Great place to stop if your crew is restless.

Brisket was ok if you like bland new England style corned beef. The entire store is very nice, the service was fast and friendly, but the food was on par with golden corral. Fried green beans are tenuous, collards over-seasoned, and smoked wings were also drowned in hot sauce. Scratching my head at how so many delicious bbq places in the south with tiny, no-frills stores and similar pricing do not crush a big, high overhead place with soulless food. Maybe the traffic count and liquor license... I digress. If youre traveling south, wait an extra half hour, get off at exit 3, and try Malsons just on the service road in the gas station parking lot if you want some bbq youll crave.

Had a great atmosphere...maybe a bit over the top with the lighting. Maybe it was all more noticeable because it was a slow Wednesday night. Regardless, the food was pretty good, the calamari was really good. Brisket was pretty good, but the pulled pork was dried out a bit. Im a bit of a BBQ junkie and am used to stellar pulled pork. The sauces were OK, of note, the Carolina mustard base was too pronounced on the mustard side. The red velvet cupcakes were NOT good. Service was good and attentive, but I wish she was more opinionated on what was good or bad. Id go back, but Id skip the pulled pork.

I went to the market part of the copper pig, hoping that I would be able to stock up on some food to cook for the next few nights. Everything was going well and the prices seemed fair until I made it to the checkout. The potatoes were marked at 0.59 per pound, but the cashier argued they were 1.99 per pound. She would not listen to any reason, even when proven the price on the bin was 0.59. Its evident the way they make their money is through deceiving their customers of the true price of what they are selling, as this is false advertisement.

We have enjoyed the Copper Pig in the past and attempted to eat there last night. For a Saturday night, it was dead (clue #1). No one ever came to the hostess stand to seat us (clue #2). We also saw their rating from the health department (an 86/B, which is what is was a year ago, clue #3). We left the restaurant (ate at Cilantros Mexican across the street, very good) with very disappointed kids who really wanted to feed the alligators. Its sad that this restaurant cant turn it around.

We stopped here on our drive back to Florida. We had the food to go, both of us got a pulled pork sandwich but different ones. They were delicious and sauces were excellent. We had the mac n cheese and potato salad as sides. The mac n cheese was mushy, I do not recommend. The potato salad was ok but not the best Ive had. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, the sauce was tasty and over all an ok dish. Id highly recommend the sandwiches but pick different sides!

This place has a great atmosphere and the food selection is amazing, plus they have a fresh food selection where you can pick up and go. However, the food we ordered at the restaurant was just okay and our waitress was a little spacy. Plus there were like 3 or 4 other servers just standing around at the bar behind us, seemed a little odd. I would definately recommend giving this place a try, because Im all about second chances, but I was not 100% impressed.

My husband and I drove 45 minutes to eat here since we had heard good things about the restaurant. We waited and waited for a waitress, and one never even came to take our drink order. There were very few tables and multiple waitresses, but they were too busy socializing with each other and playing on their cell phones to take care of customers. We left and went across the street to Old Timers Country Buffet where we had excellent food and service!

Took my wife family out to eat, they are from Nebraska. It was all of our first time. Yeah we waited for 45 mins to be seated and ordered and got cold food. My father in law had dry ribs, the kids food was cold and the sweet tea wasnt sweet. We still left a tip, but we didnt even bother finishing our food and I spent $86 on this crap, guess we got screwed. Well never do this again. For all of you reading this, go to another place, not this one.

The food is good, not great. The drinks are cheap but so is the bartender pouring the alcohol in them, so I suppose in this case you get what you pay for. The beer is beer so its good. The helpings are average. Some plates you get more food than others. For example, the combination plates provide a little more for your money. The fried alligator is tender and satisfying. I enjoyed most visits here and Im sure you will too.

After calling to see if the outside seating allowed dogs we were sold by the response "yes, and we have a dog menu". However, upon arriving within a few minutes my husband and I were told there was no outside seating. The hostess and waitress was not friendly. In addition, the alligator area smelled worse than a pig pen. I would not recommend dining there. It is absolutely worth driving an extra 15 minutes to Southern Soul BBQ!

This was the worst bbq Ive had in my life. My wife sent the food back and didnt want anything else. I got the ribs and informed I didnt want the dry rub, but they sent it anyways and they were awful! In my opinion theyll be closed permanently soon, and should be! The waitress was just as bad as the food. Anything we requested she rolled her eyes at, and my STYROFOAM cup stayed empty until we stopped her. WE WILL NEVER RETURN!!!

first, they have to many door to go inside so we went in and just sat. One of the waitresses was really rude about us just sitting because we didnt know which door to go in. Then my fiancé had coke to drink and when she came to refill our drinks she refilled his with sweet tea. Waitress just acted like she didnt care about her customers. Fried shrimp was horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
