Tried Twin Oaks for the first time yesterday after living in the Golden Isles for 18 years, and passing this well know, landmark restaurant. I had a Jumbo Pork BBQ sandwich with sides of slaw and fires. My server, Paris was funny and professional. Two fantastic traits to have in the service industry. The BBQ was tender and plentiful, but did lack flavor and moisture. The slaw was aqueduct, but the fries were out of this world. As I sat waiting at the counter for my order, three different people came in for take out orders and all were for orders of fries. I thought that strange, until I tried them. These are the best fries Ive ever had. They are, I believe, hand cut and coated with a crunchy batter. The fries made my meal, and as I type this, Im wanting to go back to Twin Oaks for an order of fries to go!!

Ive been stopping here for lunch every Friday for the better part of a year, since I work right around the corner. Without a doubt the best BBQ place in the county. I personally love the BBQ sandwich with fries, but they make a mean cheeseburger. The waitresses are polite, professional and attentive. Gary Lee and Southern Soul are great, but I always recommend Twin Oaks first.

Dont ask for inside cut with no fat! You will definitely make the cook mad. I did and got two slabs of meat about one half inch thick full of fat on a regular bun hanging out of both sides. I had to ask for a plate so I could trim the fat and remake my sandwich. Never had this happen before and have been going there for years. Service great fries great. Sandwich terrible.

Twin Oaks BBQ is a veteran establishment nestled Among The Oaks on Norwich Street. The locals have their favorites from the menu and rarely stray from it. Newcomers cannot go wrong with a cheeseburger deluxe or jumbo BBQ sandwich. Dont forget your order of battered fries, they are the best in town. You are sure to leave satisfied.

This place has been around since i was a little girl and my mother used to come and park and eat a burger with her mother. They have the Best Battered Fries in town, and the sweetest waitresses that come right to your car window or you can go inside!

Very tastey no-frills BBQ place. Its definitely old fashioned but not in a bad way. Our waitress was an absolute doll and the overall experience was quite nice. The ribs are fantastic and the coleslaw is legit. Definitely recommend.
