Making reservations during soft opening, for an amazing culinary experience to date for a grill your own food type style was fascinating in the experience itself. Ordering the meal for two deal, including a number of starters, meats, as well as desserts placed plenty of food on the table. With all the meats, my party could not help but eye the mouth-watering Kolbe meats. As we were already on cloud nine, it was only right to have dessert. Green tea mille crepe was refreshing and delicious - vanilla flavored ice cream is recommended with this dessert. Have a cup of hot tea with it as well, if you can. Smores experience was quite exciting, as the barbecue grill was available to us to roast the marshmallows like a campfire, making us feel so at home. While dreaming of being in Japan, all went smoothly, which led to an impressive and extraordinary time, as staff went above and beyond in providing superior service.

(4.5 stars) This review by Kyle (amerikano) dining with my friend (Nihonjin/native Japanese man) writing from my perspective and my friend mostly agrees. I loved the experience and restaurant and cant wait to see how they develop. Pros: Very authentic, Japanese owned and trained staffed. The place looks great with delicious food おいしかったです! Clean with great service. The staff were very friendly and welcoming with traditional Japanese dining phrases and behaviours. The staff had different shirts themed for gyu-kaku they were interesting to look at with artwork or kana on the back. Our server was happy to discuss the shirts with me. Our server was a Japanese girl who spoke English very well, but was also happy to discuss the shirts with me in English and was patient and courteous when I tried to speak Japanese with her

Excellent service from servers except from the host, I dont know if he is owner or manager but was very rude. he spoke impolitely and was not willing to listen to the comments of our group when we requested a seating area that would accommodate our group size. It seemed as if he did not care about the level of service we would receive. Food was extremely salty. Took forever, they do not send food out all at once, the combos are sent out one dish at a time after you are done with the dish of meat on the table and thats only after when they check up on you. After looking around, it wasnt only our table but all of the tables in the restaurant that were being served this way.im not sure if this is to have customers become fuller quicker throughout their meal and to cancel whatever is left that havent been served yet, but seriously?

Customer service is terrible. As we entered this restaurant and tell the hostess we want to have a table for 3, she walked away. The restaurant was empty. After standing there, another person took us to a table that the seats were covered with toys and jackets from next table. He told me to tell them to move those items. Is that my job? I told him to seat me at another table, he refused. He talked to the hostess, and they looked at me funny. We were expecting to spend about $200 for 3 persons, but they did not want to take. If you do not know authentic Japanese food, you would think it is. After observing, this restaurant did not provide Japanese food, and the food is cheap Chinese food with expensive bill. Do not go there.

Delicious Japanese BBQ. Went during the soft opening, and the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service. We ordered the meal for two deal which includes a number of starters, meats, and a dessert. Plenty of food. The garlic sauce used in the shrimp plate and noodle starter dish was unfortunately too salty. It would have been more disappointing without the variety built into the deal, but not worth knocking a star off the rating as the rest of the meal was great, especially the sweet soy marinated beef. All-in-all a unique addition to restaurants in the area. Its fun to cook your meats right at the table. Would return.

Overall its a nice time and service. However, its unprofessional when our dinner for 4 for $120 Shows salad x2 and only 1 was serve. When asked, server said " its a typo, theres only 1. Would u like to order another" Let the people know when they order that its a typo, and if thats okay. Dont wait til they ask u and dont honor it. I tipped my $40, bc its not the servers fault. However, Please update your menu, for how pricy it is you can afford to honor a salad or update. Dont let ur customer feel cheated. What other items will be a typo my next time there.... oh its not beef, its pork. Its a typo.

I lived my experience here. I will admit that this was my first experience with Japanese barbeque but it made me a believer. Our server was Tim and he was head and shoulders above most servers that wait on me wherever I go. He was assertive, efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We ordered the meat lovers with a few extras and I was pleasantly surprised at how much food it was. Overall my experience was fantastic. Next time I am in Orlando I will be dining at Gyu-Kaku without a doubt.

My God, this place is amazing. The meat was fresh and superbly marinated and flavorful. Took my wife to this joint, was thoroughly surprised by the excellent food and friendly staff. I felt like i was treated at a five star restaurant by the staff. The price was very reasonable for the amount of variety and food you will receive. It was a fun old time for us old love birds and best of all we got to grill our own bite sized meat to our liking. What more can you ask for?

The host is sooo freaking rude. He treats people with reservation and without reservation differently, saying people without reservations are wasting their time. He has a really judging attitude to people without reservation, making them feel its your fault not to have a reservation. Horrible attitude and that happened in a Christmas night. I went to another gyukaku in Toronto before. Torontos waiters know how to serve costumers. THIS ONE DO NOT.

Most fantastic experience in Orlando! Service is amazing. Really best we experienced in USA. Girl serving was sincerely spending her time to explain us how to read menu and order what we want. Food was fresh and we grilled it to our taste. I agree with one of the previous comments, that those 1 star reviews must be from competitor - these users had only given 1 or 2 reviews. Look like accounts, created just for this "job"...?

We attended during the soft opening and everything went smoothly. We were very impressed and had such a wonderful experience that we will most definitely become regulars there. From the traditional Japanese greetings to the polite and respectful attitude from the entire staff. Oh and the food oh my goodness the food was amazing! Definitely a meat lovers paradise!! Yakiniku definitely one of the best ways to eat meat.
