Terrible Service, Food was good. I asked for refills. Was told to " hold on a minute sir" . Asked for Fresh naan. the waitress looked at me and said, " is the naan on the bar not fresh? I said no its not because it was the last of the fresh batch and I like my naan fresh like the other 99% of others do. Waited till i had already ate 2 full plates of food. While my waitress hung out up front with the manager and chit chatted I asked another waiter to get us some naan, he says hold on again and after about 10 minutes goes by , the guy filling the buffet finally puts some fresh naan on the bar. He says sir you can go get it yourself . At this point, I lost my appetite and went to talk to the manager. Who basically told me in the face, Sir we dont do anything special for anyone. If you want something from the buffet you go get it yourself." Tha t its fine , but If i am relying on my tips as a waiter, I will go and do what it takes for my table to make them happy no matter what. If it requires me to grab a plate and put 3 pieces of fresh naan on it and bring it by you better believe i will do it bc my tip relies on it and thats just a small piece of being proactive for you guest and anticipating your guests needs. Telling your guest to go get it yourself is prob not thei best choice of words to say to someone that was hungry , mouth burning from spices and no drink refills , and the number 1 Indian item you can have with your meal Naan not being available until 20 minutes later. I have been here before and the service nor manager was never this bad. Its a shame because the food is actually good.

My husband and I were at swapna about one month ago and one of the table hosts used a glass of water, that was left behind and half drank by the last customer and poured some of the water on the table, then took his rag to wipe the tables down!!!! I was mortified!!! I was so disgusted I asked the host why he would do something so unsanitary and disgusting? i also asked him if he was educated on how communicable disease and bacteria can spread fast from doing something so nasty. i asked to speak to the owner and left my number but never received a call. the guy at the front register probably never relayed my concerns to the owner. had i been thinking at the moment, i would have refused to pay for my meal. Im sure that would have gotten the Owner out there quick!! OR Cobb COunty police lol! i have not eaten there since...gross just gross!! aside from that incident, their food is absolutely delicious and that is why i was deeply disappointed to witness their staff cleaning in such a manner!!! So every time I think I want Indian, I just go to the Indian restaurant down Spring Road. Their food is not as good but it defnitely knocks the craving off for a bit.

I went to this restaurant last week and it was pretty good. It is very clean and a decent place. It was very crowded on Friday afternoon we had to wait for like 10 mins before we got the table. The spread was good and food was pretty much authentic. I am vegetarian and hence I was delighted to have 3 vegetables and a dal makhani. Even the non vegetarian spread seemed to be very nice. The only thing I was not happy about is the customer service.... The lady sitting at the first counter looked at everyone as if we were there for free lunch.. When I went to get a peice of chicken for my son she was yelling from back that mam changed the plate...I was embarrassed as I knew that we change the plate everytime we went for a refill but being pointed so loud and in front of so many others is not what I like... Anyways even after all that when I went to pay same rude face lady. Hussh ..... I paid 9$ for my 5 year old ....really for 3 chicken pieces and 2 bowels of dessert .....It is definitely not my first choice of Indian food just cause of the customer service and the high price specially for kids.

I had very bad experience with this restaurant. Food tastes ok but the service is horrible. The service team is horrible, the food is served cold. They missed my entree and I had to come empty stomach and felt really bad taking my friends here. When I called the manager to talk about missing my entree Mr. Deepak, he told he does not have time to attend to his customers. If the manager has not got that time and who says it loud in front of my other guests that was an insult for me... which clearly states that he does not have the basic etiquettes of treating the customers and managing the restaurant. Please think twice if you want to get insulted in front of your other guests when you want to take them for spending some happy time out. You will only know this when you experience it. If you want to experience this scene, please visit Swapna Indian restaurant!!! Dear Swapna, management please teach you staff some basic etiquettes on how to be good with customers... as you know for any business basic thumb rule is "Customer is God..." - Regards Shiva

For my daughters birthday party we had catering from swapna. We ordered for 16 people but they provided food that hardly served 9 people, the party was very embarrassing because of less quantity of food provided by swapna restaurant. Above all, they charged twice for food, once they took entire money in advanced and second time during delivery of food to our friend, who went to pick-up food. When we went to ask for money they clearly denied and said that they dont care of regular costumer. They ask us to prove that we had paid twice. Finally, our friend had to come from another city to prove. They dont take cards for catering food, they only take cash for such orders and they dont give receipt for charges because they want to save income tax. At last our friend pointed out the person who took money on food delivery day. Finally they had to refund money. They did not apologized for such disgusting behavior, very bad costumer service. The owner and the staff both have no manners.

They claim they have authentic indian food, but everything is very creamy and the naan breads are never cooked properly. The service is really bad here, all the waiters have a very bad attitude just like their boss :| You never have vegetarian options here... the buffets are worse as everything is either cold or tasteless.. Things never to try here 1) dahi wada (lentils dumpling in yogurt) -- it is always super sour 2) vegetable biryani -- it is pale and never should be called a biryani... it is plain pilaf rice with few veggies which is not worth for your money 3) vegetable samosa -- they reheat the store bought samosa in a microwave and serve it to you.. tasteless compare it with samosa you get it shivam chat or any other restaurant in Atlanta. This is a D rated restaurant, only reason people go here is because there are no other options in the vinings area.
