Stopped in for the first time today. I normally go to Krishna up the street, and should have stuck to it. I viewed their buffet only to read a message scrawled across the sneeze guard in sharpie marker. "You will be charged for food waste". Really?? Buffets are attractive because they allow you to sample foods you may have never tried. If I dont like something I sure as hell wont finish it just so I wont be charged more than what I anticipate. Also, have a little class and make a real sign if if so important to Not waste food. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and butter naan. Keep in mind they do not have a lunch menu. Portion was lunch size for $12-13. Naan was separate charge. Not much chicken in my portion, and not much rice, which Ive seen other reviews mention. Food came out, and I was told the rice is coming. Got the rice a couple min later.why not bring it out all at once? I was given the spice level choice of mild medium and hot. I ordered mild and after a few bites, I was wiping sweat off my brow. Way too spicy! Sauce wasnt very creamy, and was on the watery side. After I ate a few bites hoping to brave the spice level, I just paid for the meal and left. Waste of $16 bucks!! Wont be back

I visited this place with my family couple of days back and did not like the food. I understand everyone have their own choices when it comes to food, hence I could see so many good reviews, but we disliked it. We ordered Panner dish and I could literally count paneer pieces in the bowl. When a panner dish is ordered and when there are no vegies in them then people expect good amount of paneer. I also ordered tawa paratha which is expected to be layered, but seems they made naan on tawa (iron pan) with oil. Veg biryani was good, i liked it but my husband did not as the spices very too intense. The worst part was being Friday evening and may be their rush hours (as the place looked occupided by big groups) the server and owner were sweating (may be boz of going back and forth in the kitchen) which is not very pleasing and hygienic. I even had to ask them to change my plates boz they had black stains on them. We are definately not visitng again.

I looked at the reviews posted by people and i really wondered how people had wrote such reviews, i have been there in march 2014 and i promised my friend that i will never come back, again today he promised that they have improved a lot and i believed him, Result is the same old story, my friend was so embarrased. Do they really know how to cook any food? i am not even talking about authentic indian food, atleast the Tandoori chicken, really you folks want to run a restaurant like this.... shame on you people. I can teach you for free, but dont cheat the people. Folks i alert you all, think thousand times before even think to eat here, its all Junk, rather please eat couple of slices of bread at your home....., Im just sharing my experience about this junk place....., its your money and your tummy..... Decision is yours........

One phrase review - Authentic biriyani lovers dream come true, spicy but one of the best! As a biriyani lover who loves to eat biriyani at every restaurant in the US, I can review that the biriyani here is one of the best. Almost comparable to the quality of the Paradise biriyani place in Hyderabad. It is a touch spicy similar to what you expect in south India, do not expect to be mellowed for American standards. The ambiance is nothing to write about, relatively noisy place with many small indian kids and adults chattering away on a busy weekend afternoon. We were there for lunch buffet and the spread was quite good, service when requested was courteous. If you pick this place, go there for authentic south Indian food, not a romantic and quiet lunch. Unsure about dinner, maybe a quieter place than lunch?

If you like spicy (hot) Indian food which is as close as it can get to authentic in the US, you must go to Kadai. The variety of food in the buffet is great. They have South Indian breakfast items like idly, dosa, wada etc..., Maharastrian delicacies like Vada Pav, gol gappa and another chat item which is different every week, biryani (OMG!), Veg and Nonveg options for entrees to please people from all spectra and a fee desserts. I have always been there on a weekend and I would advice you to do the same as the items in the buffet is more on the weekends. All in all, if you want to enjoy an authentic, spicy, Andhra styled lunch which would remind you a bit of the Mother Land, do visit Kadai, you will not regret!

My hubby and I decided to stop in because we were in the area and hungry. At first I was a little surprised that the menu is smaller than most local Indian restaurants, but there was still plenty of variety! I had the Chicken Dum Biryani. The chicken was incredibly tender and just fell right off the bone, and it had fantastic flavor. Our shared Garlic Naan was the best naan Ive had! My husband ordered the Dum ka Chicken... That was AMAZING. The heat level was the higher end of medium, in my opinion, but the dish was so incredibly flavorful!! I cant wait for the next time that I have the opportunity to go back to this restaurant, and highly recommend it!!!

This was my first time here and it was absolutely awful. I NEVER leave bad reviews, but this food tasted like Pataks sauce you buy in the grocery store. All three curries had the SAME exact heavy tomato sauce. They tasted the same! And I ordered totally different things. I dont know if they ran out of sauce, or the cook was different that night, but it was a MAJOR disappointment. The paneer was either old or somehow they screwed it up. How do you mess up paneer? So much money thrown down the drain. I will never be going back. And yes, it is way to spicy...a sign of a bad cook.

If you do go here be sure to stick to the titular Biryani. Its pretty good, and would be great if they toned down the cinnamon. The other entrees themselves were OK, however I did have the buffet and I wonder if ordering la carte would make things different. The staff is nice and courteous too. They have a lot of things from Indian snacks to Punjabi and Hyderabadi/South-Indian cuisine to Indo-chinese. I think their forte lies in the Hyderbadi cusine though. On the down side, their buffet is rather on the higher side of pricing as far as buffets at Indian restaurants go.

The only place to taste yummy Indian food is kadai..I have been to many restaurants in Cincinnati but the most delicious and the delectable food which satisfied me is only this restaurant. In addition the buffet is also served for lunch at this place . One can enjoy 35-40 types of Indian dishes , where I can bet no other indian restaurant around Cincinnati can serve these many varieties of items with this flavourful taste.... The best place to go for dine-in and finally the management is very friendly and gives good suggestions in ordering food for the customers..
