My husband loves bbq but i dont eat pork or beef so Ive had a hard time finding somewhere to eat that have sides that i would enjoy. BBQ sides should be just as tasty as the BBQ but most of the time they arent. Oh yeah, and the chicken is typically dry at bbq spots because they spend most of their time trying to perfect the ribs and pulled pork. Back to my story....So my sisters mother in law mentioned Pit Boss bbq turkey ribs. Turkey Ribs!!!????!!! I mean i knew turkeys had ribs but people eat them? Where are they bought???? What do they look like???? Skeptical but a foodie who will try just about anything....i was ready. Not because my husband loves great bbq and now i can eat with him but because it is a turkey rib. Ive never had a turkey rib and i want it! So we ventured out to the Hapeville location (didnt know they had two) and pulled up to this shack (Yes! The shacks have the best food). As I entered, I was pleasantly surprised to see a bar area (i dont drink but it was a nice bar) and the seating area was decent too. It is actually very spacious on the inside. I would have never guessed it from the outside. Now the counter where you order was old school, with a hand written menus on the wall. I loved it! And the smokey aroma coming from the meat is mesmerizing. At that point, I didnt care if the turkey rib was good or not, i wanted some food! My husband ordered a half of a slab of ribs and fries for $18 and i orderd 1 turkey rib ($4) and the smoked wings combo for about $8 i think. It came with a side and a drink. They had good sides to choose from but they cook them in pork so i got fries. Dont expect smiles at the front counter because they are busy. Place your order and go find a seat. I also watched them make the homemade dressing and refill containers. Of course i grabbed one of the freshly refilled containers. The BBQ sauce could have been pureed a bit more or strained. It was a bit too chucky for my liking but everyone else seemed to love it. I grew up eating my godmothers homemade bbq sauce so Im a little picky. You have to come with it if you are going to say it is homemade. They also only have the house bbq sauce as an option which was surprising to me. The fries were crips and the smoked wings were nicely sized and juicy. The turkey rib.... It was big as a beef rib and very filling but it was dry. And it kind of reminded me of a turkey breast with a bone (of course) but Im not sure if it gave me that bbq rib feeling. I am definitely going to try it again. I also think it being dry was coincidental being that the wings werent. Even if the turkey rib is dry next time, i will still return because it is hard finding good smoked wings. (Especially smoked wings that havent been fried and seasoned. If i ask for smoked wings, thats what i want. If you have a twist, please place it on the menu or tell me.) Side Note: They do have several flavorings for the smiked wings if you request it. Not sure why becuase they sell buffalo wings too. I do wish they had a homemade ranch and blue cheese to serve with the wings.

I was heading to ATL for a flight back home to Raleigh, NC .I gassed up my rental car just off the highway, then I took that same road down to find something to eat before my flight to avoid those airport terminal prices. I found a Wendys and pulled into the drive-thru, While in line I kept smelling the smoky, tangy scent of BBQ, By the time I got to the window to pay for my order, I cancelled it, parked my car and sought out that heavenly smoky smell. I walked across the parking lot and behind a liquor store I found Pit Boss BBQ of ATL!!! Inside, I looked over the menu, then ordered a simple smoked chicken sandwich with pickle, lettuce and tomato. Let me speak truth on this.... This is the absolute best chicken sandwich I have ever tasted in all of my 51 years, bar none!!!!! Your prices are absolutely reasonable and the portion size was very filling. I was so very please with both the meal and the service. I need for you to know that I will be back for one of these chicken sandwiches every time I visit ATL, that I promise you! If McDonalds, BK, KFC and others can make a boat load of money with their BS foods, Pit Boss could rule all of them with just that chicken sandwich alone! I wish you all the best of luck. Go national, and dont change that sandwich ever!!!! Thanks for that experience. I hope you think big and share it with the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I came out to Atlanta for work and the team was craving BBQ when we landed. This location was super close to the airport and was open on Mondays for lunch. When we came in it was really crowded but we managed to order and find seating. We just beat the lunch rush. When we dined there were a lot of people grabbing food during their lunch break. We pretty much ordered everything on the menu and by far the best dish was the Brisket. The wings, ribs and pulled pork were good but the brisket was phenomenal. The brisket was so good that after eating an entree each our table ordered an extra 2 pounds of brisket for 6 people (food coma). We loved the meal so much that we returned here for lunch on Friday. This experience is the reason Im not giving this place five stars. The brisket was not as great as the first time we had it- dont know what went wrong here- it was just okay this time around. Anyways if you are in the mood for BBQ that is fairly cheap you should definitely go here. I would be a regular if this was around the corner from my work.

If I could give this place a 000 I would. This is the first time visiting and I really wanted ribs so we wanted to check the place out. Well the person at the register Never greeted us he was absolutely rude and no personality to run a register. The rude person asked us what we wanted so we said the ribs and he said we dont have any ribs, so why did ask me what I want. The rude man should have greeted us then politely inform us and apologize that the ribs werent available, Not snap at us about it like we New what he did or didnt have. So anyways we left because their score was a freakin 80 which is pretty damn bad. I will Now call this place The Rude Bubble Guts... Sorry I try to give Great Reviews to support small businesses but I cant stand establishments that is rude to their customers and forget who the Hell put you on the Map with a score of 80 and all

Went on 2/5/17: Definitely a Must try! Follow your nose, cause they be smoking BBQ. My clothes still smell like smoke. The smoked meats were great. The sides were decent but needs more development. Small, whole in the wall BBQ spot that serves amazing BBQ. Ive tried other spots around town and they are definitely in my Top 5. The meat is smoked to perfection, it has great opaque finished color, very flavorful even without the BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was good too, spicy and mild. The spare ribs were big!! 7-8in long & 2.5-3in thick. The wings were jumbo and highly flavorful. I always get my BBQ without sauce and get sauce to side, cause the true measure of a Smoke & Grill Master is the taste, flexibility, and appearance of their bbq. They won! Definitely plan to attend again.
