The day we were there was a Friday and they have a different special every Friday. This day it was salmon patties with corn pudding and green beans. The salmon patties are huge and you got two. That was good cuz I could eat one and take the other one home for later. The portions are pretty good size and the food is good home cooked food. Their other daily specials are good too. Mondays the chicken and dumplings are really good and Tuesday I believe its meatloaf or a $1 a bone ribs. Wednesday it is hot shots and Thursday its cabbage rolls and they are huge and you get two. If youve never been you should give it a try. Its on old route 25 South heading towards Franklin just before you get to Bell Vault and Monument. I believe their hours are 11 to 9 Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday. The specials are $6.99 till 3 then $8.99 till close. You get your moneys worth.

Subpar for the most part. The coleslaw was drenched and noxious tasting. The macaroni and cheese was overcooked mush. The ribs were edible; slightly smoked taste and not dried out but had a bland seasoning/no real flavor. The pulled chicken was dry. The onion strings were crispy but the oil tased weird, old oil? Server was nice, one of the sides came out wrong and she rectified it promptly. Overall, not worth the trip.

Ive been going to Star City BBQ with my grandson Andrew Young and Ive enjoyed each trip. The cabbage rolls specials on Thursday are absolutely great. I also love the Roast Beef Hot Shot on Wednesday. My grandson always gets the pulled pork sandwiches, hes hooked on them ;-) The servers are very friendly and I like the clean environment. I would recommend this little BBQ in a heartbeat.

First time we came here it was OK, customer service definitely does need improvement, bit of a wait, second time we ate here they didnt know how long to cook their chicken and all 4 of our potato wedges were literally raw! Couldnt even eat them! Ribs and brisket were not great either but their mushrooms were awesome!

I remember this place as the old Sara Janes from when I was a kid. So nice to see the building still in operation. I tried the brisket...amazing! Their sides are scrumptious as well! The staff was very friendly and attentive. It is the kind of place they call you "hun." Hope they stick around for a good while.

Wonderful food - great prices! The cabbage rolls on Thursday were the best weve ever had! Our waitress was really great! Because we heard so many positive remarks about Star City BBQ, we traveled a little ways to try it - and well keep coming back. Its definitely worth the drive!

Pork and pulled chicken are ok. Brisket is terrible, greasy and salty without much bbq flavor. I can do without the stale dinner roll that comes with a meal. Really friendly service. Really wanted to like this place but the food needs work.

The restaurant was clean and cherry, the help was friendly and helpful. The food was great. bbq nice and smokey the brisket was delicious. The chicken was grand and the desserts were home made and heavenly 5 stars

Man that was damn good!! Got the sampler and half slab of ribs and all 4 meats were delicious... Not a big fan of the chili but cant complain about anything else.. Good prices /better food.. Well be back for sure

Ive been a long time fan of BBQ joints. This one is close and has good prices. Food was about average compared to what you expect walking into a smaller operation. All in all, I would go back.
