This is long ROACH filled incident. We were a party of 8 people sitting on one of the tables and enjoying our appetizers when we heard people screaming. The party of 10 or so people sitting on the first table started screaming and most women in the party stood up and walked away from the table. We could tell from what we could hear from their conversations that they saw some bug(s) that was flying. One person in our party has a phobia of roaches (the technical term for this is Katsaridaphobia) and she stood up and asked and requested our waiter to find out more information about the incident. After being clearly ignored, she got upset and threatened to walk out if our waiter didnt find out about whats happening at the other table. The lady waitress then took our request seriously and approached someone who appeared to be the in charge of the place. The man came to our table in a few minutes (I should have noted down his name..my bad) and explained he saw a big fly. We didnt believe it and we repeatedly asked that he saw a "FLY" and that it was NOT a "ROACH". The man repeatedly confirmed and assured us it wasnt a ROACH. Meanwhile, our food (main course) was brought to our table and some of us started serving and eating. In this confusion, our waitress didnt even bring us a new set of plates. Kids in our party waited for clean set plates and finally started eating their food. The food itself is definitely delicious. We were actually talking about how good and tasty the food is, IT HAPPENED. A roach came flying and landed on the arm of youngest (8 years old) member of the party and dropped to floor. He was terrified and was screaming roach, its a roach. All of us stood up and tried to locate where it was on the floor which happened to be a dark one. Meanwhile the person with roach phobia left the building and went back to the car. Rest of us were standing and were still trying to locate the pest. But the man in charge would not even care to come and ask us what had happened. We called him and told him what happened and he continues to shamelessly lie about what he saw at the other table was a FLY. He didnt even attempt to find/locate what some of us have seen at our table. While we were still discussing the incident, the kids also left the building and went back to the car. We wanted to talk to the management and the worst part is that there was no manager in charge at the restaurant and who ever was appearing to be in charge can only take our phone number and said someone/manager will call us the following day. We left our food in the plates and the waitress packed what was left in the some containers. We just left the package on the table thinking that there may be more ROACHES in the kitchen. On our way out, after paying the check/bill (of course no tip included) we had a long conversation with the people on the first table who explained that they actually saw three big flying ROACHES. One of those or a another fourth one must have come to our table. Now, we were 100% certain that the man in charge LIED to us about what he saw. I am sure, he wasnt innocent who cant differentiate between flies and roaches. There are actually two restaurants inside the same entrance. We were sitting in the section which serves only North Indian food while the other sections specialty is Indian-Chinese. By the way this restaurant(s) has a rating of 83 from the health department. My daughter claims she actually saw a dead roach at the entrance to the kitchen when she walked past it to go to the restroom. We will never go to this place again, in spite of the tasty food, and suggest the same to those who dont want to to be startled by flying roaches and people screaming.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. Why am I not surprised with my experience. Look at other reviews. The food is okay definitely overpriced, service... forget it. The staff INCLUDING THE "MANAGER" is rude. The owner either does not care or is not aware of the level of service in the restaurant. I ordered food to go. When I got my packet of order the quantity was not what they told me. So I asked the Front Desk Queen. "What ever is in the packet is what you get" was the answer from the Front Desk Queen! WHAT THE...! I am not begging for food, I am paying for what I was promised. The manager was rude as well. This is just one incident that evening. It continued on a few other occasions that evening and we decided to leave. One of the customers even pointed out to the manager that they were letting 10 customers just walk out of the restaurant with food on their table. The Manager did not care. Food is okay, people suck. If you want real good Indian food and experience true Indian hospitality, go to Sri Krishna Vilas. Dont waste your hard earned money at Tadka.

This is the last place you want to go for food. I took my parents and some friends on our wedding anniversary about a week ago. We ordered multiple vegetarian dishes along with appetizers which took about 45 mins to get to table, more interesting is everything thing came at once, appetizers and main courses. Now we were little upset, top of this the main courses were really spicy, so I asked waiter to modify them little bit so we can eat. She refuse, so I asked for manager. Apparently the manager was worse than waiter, he acted like he doesnt care about us. He said the best he can do is offer soda to everybody without charge (!!!???) Dude, your damn spicy stuff is still gonna go in my tummy and burn the hail out of it. We eat whatever we can and left as soon as possible. IF MY PARENTS WERENT THERE, WE ALL FRIENDS WOULD HAVE BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF THAT MANAGER....

Me and my wife went to Tadka today and their food was simply bad. The Seekh kabob were under cooked and they smelled like nothing i have ever eaten. Its been 6 hours and i still have the foul taste in my mouth. We ordered Malai chicken tikka and lamb achari. I have eaten Malai chicken like a million times in my life and this was the worst of them all. It was dry and tasted like simple chicken tandoori boti. And the lamb was actually disgusting and rubber like. When i told the waiter that the food was under cooked and did not taste well, he said; "oh okay" and stood there. We asked for our bill and left with a decent tip. But will never go to this place again. My friend had his sisters wedding at this place few years ago and the food was good back then. Not sure what happened now. I would prefer Zyka or Mughals if i wanted to eat Indian food.

We had a very bad experience from the beginning. After we enter the restaurant the guy who welcomed us is not at all good. Worst service. They not even provided glass and water. 1. The non veg (meat) items are very worst. 2. Soup is bad(both soups). 3. Starters also yucky! 4. They are not at all refilling properly if any dish is empty. The worst food i ever had in Atlanta, may be in US it self. We visited a month back that time it was OK but now its worst. Tadka guys, you have to improve quality and taste but for some reason it is not happening. For some reason it is very crowded even though food is not good, this is our frequent visiting place till now but now we changed our mind and will never go back there.
