I had the lunch buffet at Swagat Indian Cuisine today and it was DELICIOUS! They have a full section of vegetarian dishes as well as non vegetarian, even an orange chicken dish that would rival any Chinese restaurant for those who may be new to Indian food. I spoke with the manager and confirmed that they also have several vegan dishes that can be ordered from their menu at lunch. Every item of the buffet was identified with a printed placard that listed a description and the components of the dish. They had the standard Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori Chicken, which were both very good, but also several other dishes that I have never seen on buffets. Its unfortunate that I live in Kennesaw and cant make Swagat a weekly lunch spot, but as it far exceeds anything else near me, I will have to make a monthly exception.

I visited on 8/27 and this was my second visit. My first visit was one year back and at that time I found both food and service was exceptional. However, this time food was decent, but the service was poor. Just one person was taking care of all the customers due to which it appeared he was not able to concentrate and was mixing up things. For example Veg Biryani was not served with a side dish like raita or curry and instead of malai kofta he served veg korma. The initial order also took almost 1 hour where I can see hardly 2 to 3 tables were occupied.

The staff were great about catering to both my husbands and my tolerance for spice as well as our kids. We ordered an extra mild tikka masala for the kids and they loved it! My husband had a goat curry and I had a chicken kebab. Both were cooked very well (especially the chicken kebab - not too dry) and had a lot of flavor. The staff sent us home with a dosa for our children to try as well. Definitely will visit again! Swagat just became our favorite Indian food restaurant.

We came in just to get take out (first timers) and they sat us down after they took our take out order. They told us it would be 15 mins and they gave us samoas and water while we waited. Once we got home and dished out our food, we were so excited! It smelled heavenly and looked amazing! Very very good Indian food at a good price! Big portions too! Loved it and very good customer service. As a side note the bathroom was very clean too ;)

worst quality of food ever eaten, will never visit that place again. Everything is not cooked properly and doesnt taste good, there are lots many much better Indian restaurants in Alpharetta. Better to have a fast instead of eating at this restaurant. Also, want to add most of the food is stale, for eg: you can eat rice and its grains will be hard, seems like stale and also, you can check various dry sabjis, you will find them stale too.

Except for their starters nothing was worth it...Trying this restaurant for the 2nd time and it was worse than our first visit...so I can tell it wasnt a one-off day for them...we visited on a Friday if that has something to do with the quality of food...it definitely tasted pretty old (atleast 2 days old food)...and I did complain abt the quality of food but he did not even bother to respond/answer to my question...

Excellent lunch buffet; a good variety of vegetarian and meat dishes. The food is spicy and flavorful. The okra stew was rich and tasty and made my forehead sweat a little. The highlight for me was the beetroot halwa, which is a dessert made from beets, milk, sugar, cardamom and other spices and chopped pistachios. I think I could even get my son to eat beets this way. Attentive service and quiet atmosphere.

Not able to handle customer inflow at busy lunch hours. Almost all items in buffet was out . Refilling was extremely slow as they were run out of food in kitchen. Food was tasty whatever we could eat. Went there after reading good review but May be their bad day. Seems Management was not experienced enough to handle such situation. Family lunch time is important and doesnt like to spoil that.

The buffet for lunch is extremely satisfying. They serve a wide range of vegetarian and meat dishes. It has all of the standards you have grown accustomed to seeing on Indian buffets plus a little more. They also switch up some of the dishes to provide variety. A few of the dishes have some heat spice wise. I have been over 5 times and each time it has been consistently good.

Horrible experience!! Ordered our food online at 6:10 and the confirmation said we could pick up after 6:30. We arrived at 6:45 to find out they didnt look at the online orders. Instead of moving our order to the front of service, we are still waiting 45 minutes later. No apologies were given. Doesnt matter how good the food is, we will not be returning anytime soon.

Sad to see the wonderful old staff move on to other things, however, the new guys are great. Very kind and knowledgeable. Everything was cooked perfectly, the curry was spiced just right, and the eggplant was very authenticly prepared. I keep coming back to this place every time Im in the area. Definitely give this a try before thinking of Taste of India.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today. I usually try vegetarian dishes, so I went with one that I usually use to gauge restaurants by. To my excitement, they make a fantastic Malai Kofta. It is a sweet and aromatic dish with dried fruit and nuts garnishing the top. When Im back in the area, Ill definitely be back to try more.

We ordered some ala karte for dinner, we got Shrimp Biryani and lamb Biryani; both mild spiciness. Lamb was a bit chewy, and shrimp was tail-on but both of them were spicy. I really liked the taste of lamb, than the shrimp. For 11$, the quantity was good. I would definitely go for Lamb Biryani again. Ive added a couple of pics.

I have visited this place a couple of times. I have enjoyed their food, great flavor, spices, etc. Buffet presentation could be better, but the food never tasted bad or bland to me. No problems with service either, I have always been treated with a smile. This is one place that I try to stop by when I around the area.

I have been going here since this restaurant used to be Abhiruchi, and I must say the new owners are fantastic! Swagat is so much better than Abhiruchi ever was. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, the service was excellent, and the food tasted great! Its my new favorite Indian restaurant around Windward.

Visited this place recently , very nice experience . Good selection of item in the buffet. Samosa Chat , Chicken 65, Fish appetizer , Double Ka Meeta, Gobi Manchurian , Chicken Biryani are the best. Weekend buffet has a lot of choices. Also had a catering service , Chicken 65 and Gobi Manchuriyan are the best

I love this place! My family and I stopped by last week to eat, and the food was amazing. It is pretty hidden and does not stand out very much with everything going on at Windward but if you get a chance you should try it. The butter chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala was so good, we will be returning :)
