**NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED FOR PARENTS WITH INFANTS/TODDLERS** We went to this hotel on 08/13/2017 for Sunday lunch Buffet along with our 1 Year old son. We never thought that we wont return with same mood we went in to hotel. Waited for 30-45 minutes outside and I am not complaining about the waiting. There were still 40-50 more people waiting around 1:00 PM when we went in. Once we were assigned table, we started having food. As my son is too young to be on his own, My wife and I are taking care of him in shifts like one having food for sometime and other is taking care of him. While we are eating we fed him bits and pieces of poori, uthappam, vada and papad. I hope everyone understands that kids at age 1 year is not expected to eat cleanly without dropping anything. We are eating slowly as only one of us eating each time. After 30 mins or less, one of the waiter(gentleman) passed our table shouting "Baap re kya hain yeh"( English: Oh god what the is this) and looking at us while passing. He went to the billing station and pointing us and complaining to other waitress something. He got floor cleaning broom stick and came to our table with same weird face looking at us as if we did some mistake. Then I asked him, "you have any problem with us?". He still didnt care my question and talking to himself like "kaise kaise log aathe hain yaha"(English: What type of people come in here) as if we are untouchables. I repeated the same question and also explained him "My son is 1 year old and its not possible for him to eat without dropping food. So as you are not happy with this, stop cleaning here at our table. We will clean the surroundings once we are done with lunch". He is still cleaning and complaining about food pieces dropped by my son with same weird face. Then we thought its better to leave the place as its too humiliating for us in front of 50-75 people who are having food at that time. We went to the cashier to pay the bill, while paying the bill I explained him what happened why we are leaving in middle of our lunch. i told him definitely I will not be returning to this hotel after all what happened today. The cashier simply said its okay if you decide like that and said you should have stopped him and come to me when it happened. I told him it happened just now and what are you going to do? He didnt even care to apologize and simply said will report to management. With that service I dont even want to review about food as first thing for any hotel is to treat customers with respect and mannerly. I shared this horrible experience with another friend when we met in the evening, he and his sisters family had similar experience. So they stopped going to this restaurant as the waiters are very rude. Hope management takes up this and train waiters in a good way.

Unfair Treatment + Cheap Attitude + Rude behavior = BAD Experience We ( 2 adults + 2 Kids) reached at 12.30PM for a Sunday lunch buffet. There was a gentleman noted my name and number of people (2+2) and gave me a electronic console and said i have to wait for 20 minutes. I received the console and was waiting in the hall for 25 minutes and started noticing the people came after me was entering for buffet but our name was not called out (no indication in the console). I thought the console wasnt working and went inside and inquired. Believe me and it was surprise that the gentleman who got my name said that "The priority is based on the number of people NOT based on the arrival time and he would call me when its possible". This was really shocking and we were waiting for 25 minutes with my two kids (7 yr and 2.5 yr) and notices in the sheet there were 8 people after my name got stroked in the sheet. I said its really bad and hand over the console to him and really got irritated by the gentleman when he say "Thank You" and his behavior was very rude. Then I tried to bring to this incident to the restaurant manager (thats what he said) and he even said the same thing i.e."The priority is based on the number of people NOT based on the arrival time". They Not even ready to consider the two kids situation at the lunch time. Its really very cheap business mentality for a restaurant and I have never faced this type of unfair treatment even in the american restaurants. Never ever go to this place less than 5 people and you will treated as if they are giving a free food to us.. NOT worth .......

Worst service I have every got in my life. Have been to this place on Valentine’s Day it was around 8:45 PM. no one came for 10 minutes to take the order. After that waiter comes to take the order I ordered 2 tomato soups, 2 Nan’s, chicken tikka masala, salad and veg biryani. After 15 minutes other waiter comes with Bhel …??? I called the waiter who took my order and explained I did not order Bhel I ordered tomato soup. He was confused… he agrees to bring soup instead. After 10 minutes other waiter brings main course instead. By that time I have completely lost my patience… I decided to let it go but found only one Nan instead of 2 Nan’s and no salad …. I went to manager[At least he looked like one] and told him in short what’s going on, he seemed to be a sensible person he apologized and said he will take care of it. He again comes to my table and confirms what I have ordered. I am like was the 1st waiter smoking weed or something??? … Meanwhile there were no refills for water glasses. At the end he brings bill and guess what he had billed me for 3 Nan’s, I called him and said I just ordered 2. He is like I will correct it. He comes back with bill and he still charges me for 3 in the bill. I am like whatever I didn’t want to waste my time anymore I paid and left. And decided this is surely going to be my last visit to Madras Chettinaad….

I went last night and was very disappointed. I ordered onion and spinach pakora and they had clearly fallen apart when frying but they served them anyway. Its not just that they didnt look like the pakora that are pictured on their website, they seemed like they were the over-cooked waste bits that had fallen into the pan or fryer when preparing the real pakora. I also ordered uttapam and it was slightly burned on one side, undercooked on the other, and the texture was inconsistent. They also failed to bring out a lasse that my dining companion ordered until he brought it up at the end of the meal. If it werent for that, Id say that the table service was good. My dining companion is fairly easily embarrassed and seemed to be enjoying his food so I didnt send anything back. Even so, if it werent for the fact that he had gotten there before me and already ordered some soup, Id probably have sent the pakora back when they put it in front of us and cancelled the rest of the order and gone somewhere else. Professionals should be embarrassed to serve food like that.
