NOTE: Im updating my review due to SEVERAL visits to this restaurant. I read reviews prior to trying this restaurant. I decided to give them a try. Well the 1st try I had the Minerva Spl Chicken & butter naan. It was delicious! I went to brag about the restaurant to my parents & Uncle, because I liked it so much. 2nd try was the Kadai Chicken & butter naan. That Kadai tasted a bit off. My husband had this particular meal just 2 days before. I tried his & his was great, which made me get it my 2nd visit. Well for some reason my didnt taste the same. I figured it was too much cream or coconut milk or whatever liquid they put in there. The taste was just a little awkward. Just a little. So I finished up my meal thinking it was good, but not great like last time. Tried it a 3rd time & it couldnt been better. I been back at least once a week after that ordering different things to try like the Butter Chicken, Lamb & Goat Kadai, Spanich Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, etc. I REALLY like the food at this restaurant & the service is splendid. The tasty food is whats driving me to go back plus the waiters were so nice, helpful, & amazing. Ive been to other Indian restaurants & their attidudes sucked & food was too pricey for the worth! The buffet was addicting. I couldnt stop getting seconds. This is one of my favorite top restaurants so far. Yay Minerva!

1st I would like to say I am still in the restaurant and I am also from similar ancestry as these people. This food is an embarrassment to our culture. It was ALL stale and when we mentioned this they stated it would take too long to make fresh food. I have many food allergies and they had nothing we could eat on the buffet so we ordered off menu. They made multiple excuses as to why they could not make us fresh food to replace the stale buffet food. If I wanted to eat your leftovers from last night that is what I would have asked for. I am also a business owner and this is not how you run a business. Updated: False statements? Your food was stale, you left it under the heat lamps all day and refused to make fresh food. With all due respect you were lucky we paid. We will never be eating at this restaurant again. False statements? Maybe it wasnt leftovers from last night, but leftovers from this morning at 10am drying under the heat lamps for 4 hours taste just as stale as last nights leftovers. And the comment about being under the heat lamps for 4 hours came from 1 of your servers not making anything up. Never accuse a customer of lying again sir, it makes you look like you care little for your business image. 15 yrs of experience cooking sub par food and insulting your clients in not something to brag about.

I have to say, It took me a long time to return to Minerva after the owner did not honor my Groupon (which after fighting with groupon, in a 4 month period, they finally reinstated my original voucher, thank you), once we arrived, we were afraid we would see the owner. Thank God he was off, but on the other hand they put a women to take our orders that did NOT speak english. Finally when we ordered, it was the wrong order on the menu. The cook from the back approached our table and asked if this was not what we ordered we said "no", and you can tell she was pissed. So when the second item came out it too was the wrong order as well and we returned it again. The cook came back out and addressed us again. At this point we had to remind her that the waitress does NOT speak english and does not understand the menu, and had an attitude...She was pissed and she showed us she was pissed. They finally got the order correct and we felt they spit in our food, and felt sick after and threw up twice. The food was not fresh and nothing like what we experienced when we first ate there. Our final decision for all of our family members is that we will NOT be returning to Minerva again....just dont trust it!

This review is for minerva restaurant , interesting thing is after enough bad reviews they renamed this to some japanese restaurant.ok Heres what the restaurant needs to focus: 1)Food - poor - not cooked well - we had to return the food after it was served. ( sensible thing they did - they had not charged for the return food - but felt that it was waste of time ordering and finding its not cooked well) 2)Customer service - Poor - food is served all at once - and customer waits till all the food is cooked ( took for us atleast 15 minutes), instead they could have served a papad with a chutney or a light snack as a complimentary as soon as the customer sits at a table - couple of papads would cost 0.10 cents) 3)Ambience - poor - Too much lighting - feels like as if we are eating in a brightly lighted Hall. Final thoughts and suggestions - hoping that the management realizes and takes the feed back in a positive way and the owner really need to take responsibility of what he started and have the restaurant serve food for couple of more months before they realize the mistakes and go down loosing the investment.

One of my favorite Indian restaurants! Weve tried most of the restaurants in the Tampa area is the one we keep coming back to. I love their lunch buffet because you can try a little bit of everything and its delicious! Its perfect for someone who is trying Indian food for the first time. We were also pleasantly surprised with their dinner service - a menu full of intriguing entrees, the food we ordered was excellent food and my friend says its pretty much spot on for authenticity. The service has always been very attentive whenever weve been there. As for value, but in my opinion well worth it, weve always left full and very satisfied. Ive been craving their lunch buffet for awhile now so we plan on stopping in over the weekend! We went to the lunch...

Disaster! Waste of money! I have been at many Indian restaurants, I do not know where to start, First of all food was very stale, we had 3 course of meal we shared, all of them was terrible, tikka masala , it did not taste anything like it ,chicken tasted so bad. Tandoori chicken, it came really hot outside but when you eat it it was cold. Spinach lamb, I believe it is lamb saag , was terrible it did not taste anything like lamb saag. Garlic naan was really good! I am not even kidding. Reita was terrible as well! Unless you are going for a garlic naan DO NOT waste your money! I believe this 5 star reviews are fake , may have been rated friends or family. It is a shame to Indian food. They better name it Fiasco Indian restaraunt!

Minerva is a great addition to the Indian food restaurants in the New Tampa area. Although parking is a bit of pain when crowded, its definitely better than parking at the other Indian places. The food here is great during the buffet, and easily among the best price for what they offer. With fresh dosa and Naan brought to the table in addition to the buffet foods, my family goes here on a regular frequency. The owner is very friendly and does a good bit to get to know people who come in. Go early and youve got easy access but it will fill up quick on weekends! I wouldnt mind a few more dessert options in the buffet, but theres always the menu to order from, so its hard to complain
