Unfortunately I have made the attempt three different times to eat here. I judge an Italian Restaurant by their Spaghetti and Meatballs. If you go cheap on the cheapest dish than you just go cheap everywhere else as well. Now while I say this lets keep in mind I have yet to find a decent Italian Joint in East Pasco. Even the one at the Wiregrass Mall uses frozen meatballs. Food: The food seemed right from the frozen food section of the grocery store and was drowned in some watery sauce and cheeze that clumps up quickly.....The white and red sauces were flavorless. I could have cooked better baked dishes with stouffers at home. Service: The waitstaff is impatient and friendly all at once. They welcome you with open arms but ignore you after seating you unless you make it super obvious you need them. All three times I was there the staff seemed to have changed... This smacks of problems as well. Decor: It looked like someone stepped into the 80s and brought out a picture of a mom and pop from then and applied it to now. The furniture not dining sets .... Was stiff and uncomfortable. Instead of comfort they focused on cost. Bad move.. Spend a little to make people not wanna leave I say.. Impression:: I beleive that this may or may not be an Italian family after listening to them yell at each other back and forth but they seem to want to push some substandard food that people obviously seem to buy so why bother right? Well they will continue to receive people who are aging and without care versus casual diners as regulars. This place was a horrible exscuse for Italian food and it should be illegal to call it dining instead of takeout. I watched the family gather for dinner after they started closing and I was amused and not surprised to see different foods and preparation for the food they gathered around. I stuck around after closing to talk with them about their menu and they claim pride and eagerness to please...I would say they are eager to sell but cheap on their effort... F-

Part of my Christmas gift from our son-in-law was to take us out to eat, It was close to dinner time and I called ahead to ask if they could accommodate a table of 8 in 15 to 20 minutes they said sure. From the moment we arrived it was a pleasure, to my surprise they had set-up a table in advance for us and we promptly seated, their menu was full of all kinds of wonderful dishes, from pizza to full meals, including seniors and kids meals. The cost for a family of 8 to eat including appetizers, soup, pizza and full meals complete with drinks was a grand total $140.00 with tip. Each meal was delicious as we shared among ourselves, I had the veal/eggplant parm with pasta, the veal was real, not a patty and the eggplant was fresh. I had so much food I left along with the others with doggy bag in tow. My son ordered a large calzone and I do mean large, when the waiter walked it over to the table just about all the other patrons heads turned in amazement as well as our own. I have never seen the likes of a calzone so big, being from N.Y. I am accustomed to Italian food and was shocked that when he cut it the calzone was packed full of cheeses and meat. The cost of the Lg. calzone was only $9.00 and it could have fed a family of four easily. I have nothing but praise for the owners and there staff. I highly recommend Piccola dont miss a great meal with a pleasant staff.

Cheap meat in the meat sauce, but other than that the food is pretty good. I used to work there as well. The family who owns the place is quite rude. Being raised in a large Catholic Family and having Community dinner has always been a big part of my life. When you eat Community dinner with them, they sit at the table and speak a different language so that you feel left out if you dont understand Italian. It was by far the rudest situation Ive ever sat through dinner for. They should start considering themselves equal to the people that work for them instead of thinking they are too good to talk to you in a language that youre accustomed to. Our families share the same church, and my family would never treat guests at the table so poorly.

Weve eaten Italian all over the world -- even throughout Italy and theres nothing nearly as good as Piccola Italias food! I think between my husband and our neighbors and all of our guests that theres nothing we havent tried --- and never a complaint! Always, theres someone who says, "I wish I had a larger stomach!" Warm, friendly atmosphere. A Family run business. The sauces are to die for and no matter how great the Cheesecake, theres not a CANNOLI this side of Italy -- ANYWHERE -- that can touch the ones you find here! Well worth the short drive from Lakeland at least twice a month and truthfully sometimes more.

We waited 15 minutes for a table then once seated waited 10 more minutes for a waitress until finally giving up and leaving! Horrible service! One waitress I tried to flag down simply ignored me! No one said Hello, no one said Ill be with you in a minute, just zero service. A table seated after us got waited upon to add to our annoyance. The old folks seem to think the food is good but the management really needs to get organized. Pizza Hut, for all its flaws, puts them to shame. Ill never go back.

Went in with my husband and at first we almost didnt go in because we were the ONLY costumers but we decided to not judge the book by its cover and there we experienced the Worst "italian food" ever. Im not usually this judgemental with but it was just unbearable. They must put water in their alfredo sauce to make more of it because it was all water and no sauce and the chicken tasted like they didnt even season it. Dont waste your money!!!!!

I have eaten here on many occasions and the food was fantastic the service was excellent. If you like a good calzone this is the place to get it. I am a larger gentleman and I can not finish the small (it is the size of a small foot ball ) I have paid in cash, check, and used my credit card so maybe the other reviews were mistaken Piccola‘s for some where different. If you are looking for an authentic meal Piccolas is the place to go for lunch or dinner.

Great sauce, pizza, calzones, and the BEST CHEESECAKE! That is probably because everything is homemade. And for the record, there is ONLY 1 small tv in the dining room, which does some advertising but also shows pictures of some of Piccolas mouthwatering dishes. It is a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Truly a FAMILY restaurant. Wish it was in Tampa, but still make the drive out a few times a month.
