Pulled up and cook was out back smoking cigarettes wearing his apron. Ignoredbthat and went in and sat on patio which was nice because weather was cool. Ordered food wanted eggs on certain plate and the server was weird about it and didnt want to do it. She suggested i do it myself and then said she would have the cook do it. When the food showed up it wasnt the way she said it would be and there wasnt any trace of warmth in the food. Also we ordered chocolate chip pancakes that showed up without chocolate chips and she said she told cook to put them on and she would take care of it. She came back a minute later and said the cook was already busy making food and she would have to just put chocolate chips on pancakes that were already cold when they showed up or we would have to wait. We specifically chose this place because of the 4+ star reviews but i can not recommend because every aspect was a failure not to mention its adjacent to a very rundown urban neighborhood. Maybe we came at a bad time but there were only 4 tables filled when we got there and 2 already had food so i dont know what to say...

My husband and I were searching for a new place to eat breakfast/lunch around town and happened to see Canopy Café. Our first time here we were greeted with smiling faces by the staff! From the get go we received a very warm welcome from our friendly waitresses Carrie and Kathleen! We both felt like we were regulars! Hubby ordered the Cuban sandwich and the 15 bean sausage soup which he said was nothing short of amazing!!! I ordered the country benedict with a side of grits, and was so happy to finally find a place that actually knows how to make excellent sausage gravy!!! The food came out fast and piping hot and words cannot explain how scrumptious our meals were! Both servers, Carrie and Kathleen were very attentive and kept checking back with us to see if we needed anything. If youre looking for a cozy off the beaten path restaurant that serves homemade DELICIOUS food, this is the place for you! We will most definitely be a "regular" here! We both highly recommend Canopy Café!!!

e really enjoyed them for lunch. Theyre just a few streets off of Winter Parks busy Park Avenue which is nice when you want to avoid the traffic, parking, and typical Sunday wait. The layouts sort of odd, with the kitchen sandwiched (Lol) between the common areas but it works. We were lucky enough to get outside seating, especially with the weather so nice on the day. Nice easy to order off of short menu. We skipped brunch and went in for lunch things. Must say, was one of the best Reuben sandwiches Ive had in a long time. Fries with a sandwich are an upgrade but worth it. Fresh fries!! Waitstaff was friendly and attentive enough but also preoccupied with other larger tables, noticeably so. Looked like they were regulars, though. Overall, somewhere between a high three and low four for me.

I went to canopy cafe this afternoon before class at around 12:45pm. Now ive been here once before and had a nice enough experience, the staff at the time were younger and friendly and the reuban i had was excellent. Today when i went with my family i was extremely dissapointed the two waitresses on duty were very rude and obnoxious i have never in my life been snobed at a resrurant by a waitress...needless to say i will never return and i will NOT refer this place to anyone. The waitress was giving us dirty looks the entire time and we were perfectly pleasant. I hope the owners of this eatablishment speak to their associates about professional etiquette.

Waited an hour for a two egg breakfast and French toast. Waitress was not attentive, and staff seemed to give preference to regulars rather than new customers. She did not come by often to offer refills. Waitress brought out the wrong order at first, and we had to take our food to go so I could get to work on time. Some of the staff was apologetic for our wait, but not our waitress. She seemed as though she didnt care that we had to wait so long. There were other customers who arrived after and left before us. Price was good but food was not worth the wait. Not planning on returning.

Cute place to eat! There are lots of things to choose from. Breakfast was delicious. It did take quite a bit of time for the food (about 40 minutes for three plates). But we did go on Sunday during brunch. We will definitely be back! Space is limited inside but there is covered outdoor seating. People are allowed to bring their dogs when they eat outside. They even bring them a water dish!

Over an hour wait for an overpriced $22 tuna melt and a grilled cheese I could have made at home that was better. Bread came out soggy. Other patrons that had come in well after us were served before us for no apparent reason. The waitress neglected to refill our drinks and place seemed unorganized and understaffed. My husband and I would not return.

Un inspired. This is my second time here. Gave it a second try because I like the atmosphere. Same breakfast - 2 egg sandwich. Toast is not quality and is bordering on burnt, can only be one egg unless they were super small, bacon is over cooked, potatoes are bland. Service is friendly but a little chaotic and rushed. Wish it was better.

Food was alright, I had the French toast and eggs but the service was very slow and I had to flag the waitress down just to come refill my coffee even though my table (party of two) and several other tables were on a 45 minute wait for our breakfast entree. The host was nice, but you could tell our waitress was over it, and we were too.

MANAGER... YOUR STAFF IS BEGGING FOR YOUR INVOLVEMENT. Wait staff 4/5. I feel bad for them though - food came out cold twice. Bless the waitress - she tried crazy hard to make sure we were happy. Short a cook going back to the poorly managed winter park gem in tough situations... DID YOU TAKE THE DAY OFF Mr. Manager ?!

Ive only been for brunch but it was amazing. I only know of this place because i live down the street and they are always packed so it has to be good right? Correct well at least for brunch try the chicken gravy egg biscuit special! Will try lunch or dinner and update this review in future since I live close.

This was a very nice alternative to eating at chain breakfast restaurants. The wait staff were very attentive and the was above average. I rarely choose a patio option when eating out, but, their patio is enclosed with shades and air conditioned. Even at high humidity and 85 degrees, it was very pleasant.

While visiting Winter Park, we stopped by Canopy Cafe for breakfast... two days in a row! The server was friendly and the food was delicious. Prices were affordable and I would definitely return! This restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating and parking on the street or in the rear of the restaurant.

A nice neighborhood cafe just outside the main Park Avenue strip. The breakfast menu has lots of tasty options. The seating is limited, but if the weather is nice, the outdoor seating area is pleasant. If youre looking for simple diner food without the Park Ave prices, Canopy Cafe is a good choice.
