I would ideally give this place 3.5 stars. It excels in certain areas but is also absurdly expensive. It is reminiscent of a New York sushi spot which has its pros and its cons. First off, this place is very aesthetically pleasing. Exposed brick gives Noble Rice a modern yet rustic look. Its not a very big place, which is what initially reminded me of a New York City spot. This place was pretty busy when I came in but cleared out in about 45 minutes. I ordered the seared tuna small plate, which was $16 for four pieces of sashimi. Now, Im no connoisseur of sushi or sashimi by any means, but this portion was incredibly small. The tuna was delicious, but I felt kind of ripped off for what I paid. I also ordered the brussels sprouts, which were pretty good. The melted cheese was a good addition to them but I felt they needed some salt, which I ended up asking for and adding on. Still, these were $10, which seems absurd to me for a place in Tampa. I think I would come back and try the ramen for sure as well as the buns. This review is strictly temporary and could easily go up. Service was friendly and swift, and I did have a really great time here, but I feel like I could order some other items to get a better bang for my buck.

Without a doubt the best Japanese inspired food and restaurant in Tampa. Chef Eric and his crew go the extra mile to curate the most enjoyable experience for you, from the food and drinks, to the service and ambiance, everything gels perfectly. Servers are perfectly attuned to the menu and genuinely care about your experience. They expect questions about the menu, and dont make you feel the least bit intimidated when answering. Many places claim to have the best/freshest sushi in the area, but until youre flying in fish from Tsukiji Market, or Uni from Santa Barbara like they are doing here, its hard to stand out in my opinion. They are also working with local fish operations who are on the forefront of sustainable production practices which is great to see.I really appreciate the attention to detail, and dedication to doing things the right way, even if its the hard way. No shortcuts here. Gotta love it. Thanks again for the great experience! Cant wait to come back after your upcoming menu change.

Had a reservation for the $200 omakase dinner at 8pm that we never got to experience after waiting an hour with no clear explanation in an empty restaurant. When you have people like us waiting to pay you $200/person with a reservation for a set course meal one would expect a certain level of customer service. Not indifference. On top of that you had the audacity to charge us for the single drink we had each while we waited for an hour. We decided to leave when we saw the 9pm reservation show up knowing they would be waiting an even longer time should we have decided to wait for our turn for the omakase. Please replace your service staff as they seem to be getting worse and worse. No explanation from him for the wait except that apparently the snow storm was to blame for the lack of fish choices. You just went from being our favorite restaurant in Tampa to being the absolute worst.

We were not impressed...to say the least. They wouldnt allow us to sit in one of their 2 empty booths b/c they were "reserved" (yet they both stayed empty during our entire dinner). The server was very nice and apologetic but that doesnt make up for the hour long wait for our food. One of the excuses was how they only had one sushi chef working that night...wouldve been nice to mention that BEFORE our order. Value wise, the quality/taste of the fish was good but the portion-size/amount and thickness of the fish was way too small for the price. When you order a roll with fish on top, normally the slices of fish touch one another...not the case here, instead you see a LOT of rice in between and along the sides of the fish slices.... We will not be coming back.

Be prepared to come here with an empty stomach and an empty schedule. The atmosphere is laid back with a focus on serving patrons a good meal, rather than getting people in and out to fill more seats. The best way to do noble rice is to work down the menu. Order the sushi, sashimi and yakitori one plate at a time while you ponder the menu looking for your next dish. Finish with a bowl of ramen, if you still have room. The price is a little bit higher than an average night out (if you eat as much as I did) but the experience and the uniqueness made it worth it. So far I havent found anything to compare noble rice to in the Tampa area.

Had a little bit of everything. Ramen, a specialty roll, bun, veggies, and hush puppies. Food was okay but we had to send back the Upstate Greens because they we too spicy and ridiculously salty. Even the chef tried it, came to us, and agreed it was bad. We got the octopus hush puppies on them and that was much better. Service was friendly albeit a little slow. The menu has plenty to make it worth while to come back. Were just not in a rush to do so. Really wouldve given them 3 stars but they were nice and accommodating.

Ordered sushi delivery through Uber from this restaurant and immediately noticed just how good of quality the fish here is! Spicy Tuna and Salmon and fish row all tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. My personal favorite was the eel! WOW! Soft and tender (buttery) with just a touch of sweet, truly delectable. Also love the fact that they carry Mexican Coca Cola and Japanese Melon soda. Really enjoyed my meal and will be returning!

Unique menu with some amazing food. Sushi is some of the best in the Tampa Bay area. Inside is very welcoming and decor is amazing. The staff is very friendly; every time I have been in the owners have come up to the table to make sure everything was perfect and even asked for suggestions. They were open and responsive. This is definitely my new go to location for great food!!

This place has some of the freshest sushi Ive had in while. The place was really relaxed, but keeps a fun vibe. We had the habanero pineapple ribs and they fell off the bone, never had ramen before but now I know I love ramen! They had ceviche octopus that was pretty amazing! Our server was awesome, and polite. Cant say enough about how glad I am to have stumbled upon them.

Pretty good, I wouldnt recommend the entire menu but there are some standout items. The skewers are great, the tenderloin w/ truffle and compound butter is the best thing on the menu. The steamed buns are both good. The sushi was mediocre at best, the ramen was decent but if youve been to ichicoro dont order it here. The sake in a can was cool, never seen that.
