I have been to seeral Jasmine Thai restaurants and have loved them all. This was an exception. I am SO disappointed, because this is the closest location to my house. It was a special occasion, and I was treating four people to dinner. I tried to order a bottle of red wine around $30. The order went in and a server came running to me, suggesting another bottle at $250! I said, no thanks, I will stick with what I ordered. Then, she continued to try and sell me something other than what I wanted. She told me white wine is on sale, 20% off, and continued to try to push me into another decision. We finally got our wine. Everyone got water except me. I requested a water, although I was the only one who had to ask. The food was average at best. The bill came to $110, and I had paid with cash. I always tip 20%, usually more. I made a mistake in calculating the tip. I tried to calculate 20% with my cell phone typing in 100x.2 and got 22, so I mistook that as $122 being a good tip. I had a $100 bill, a $20 and a $5, so I thought I would leave that as a generous tip. The server came back and threw done the bill and said: 15% minimum. It took me a minute--I thought he was giving me change because I tipped too much. Then I realized what he was saying. I did not tip enough. I was so embarrased by my mistake and in front of the other guests! Everyone in my party was shocked and we all said we would never come back. This place was going to be our regular place, since we just moved to the area, but we will never return! Needless to say, we thought the service was terrible.

This evening I visited Jasmine Thai for the first time. There was a group of about 20 of us. They had set up a long table for our group. We were warmly greeted at the door. Im not sure if the gentleman was the host/manager/owner, but whatever his capacity at the restaurant, made us feel more than welcome. He described some of the listings on the special menu and then those that were specials of the day. He recommended certain dishes. The servers took our orders - drinks, appetizers and entrees. With 20 people, one would expect something to go wrong.. not here! The food came out in a timely manner, and every plate I could see from my vantage point, was done in a beautiful presentation. Iced tea and water glasses were kept full, without asking. At the end, a complimentary tray of fried bananas came out for us to all sample (it was one of the menu items). Oh, and I forgot to mention, many of us were on individual checks and the staff didnt bat an eyelash to that. While we were there, I saw a number of people come in for takeout orders, and the phone didnt stop ringing to place those orders, either! In short, the food was great, the service was excellent and I told them I WILL be back, even tho this place is not in my backyard! Keep up the good work!

Ordered takeout.Daughter brought home and everything covered in coconut soup.Noted container upright,lid NOT secure. Cleaned everything off and went back to restaurant.Server denied wrong doing and said order must have been placed on its side.Not happy. She brought out new soup,checked to make sure lid secure and I proceeded to hold container upside down,on its side and shook it.Server finally apologized. Coconut soup awesome.Tom Yum...hmmmm....lemongrass????What lemongrass???NOT a hint of the wonderful lemongrass. Entree veggies with basil.....hmmmm....basil???What basil???? Have dined here many times and the quality has consistently gone down. Too much competition to pay for this fake Thai food.Sad.

We live right around the corner from Jasmine Thai and are addicted! Really great quality Thai food, I have liked everything I have tried so far. We normally always order an appetizer and drinks in addition to our entrees and have never been disappointed. They now have sushi and we were very surprised to find out it was great. Now we have an option of getting sushi nearby as well. We will definitely continue to go to this restaurant and highly recommend it. One of our friends from out of town always insists we go there when he is in town as well. Great place!

I came to Tampa ON TDY for about a week. I came to this place 3x out of the week that I was here. The fact that I came here back to back should tell you how great this place is. I ordered the "Chick Sushi Roll" along with the "Chicken Pad Thai." I must say they never failed me not one time. Great group of people and the guy that makes the sushi is great and very outgoing. The waitress was nice as well. I most definitely will be revisiting this restaurant when I come back to Tampa.

We went to the Westshore location based on the great reviews. What a disappointment! Im not sure who are writing these glowing reviews but my experience was the opposite. The Pad Thai was mediocre and the green curry was thin, tasteless, and pretty much inedible. Thankfully, the portions were smaller than what we had at other Thai restaurants in Tampa so we didnt have to throw away a lot of food. If you are a fan of Thai food you can find a lot better elsewhere.

Love this place! The decor is really casual but thematic. The food is fantastic! If they have curry puffs available, get them! Their red curry is my favorite in Tampa. Service is always fast and friendly, and Ive never felt rushed. Very reasonable prices for the basic dishes, but the specials can be a but pricey - but worth it! Really unique specials that make every trip new!

Went there durring the lunch rush. Ordered from their lunch special of 2 sushi rolls for around $10. Came with a cup of miso soup and a small egg roll. Was actually full and their Thai tea wasnt too sweet or too creamy. The service was great, as they came back a few times for refills and the check with out asking.

This is the best Thai place in Brandon! My husband and I love going out for curry and have been to well over a dozen different Thai restaurants between here and Sarasota. Jasmine Thai is one of the best, Ive not had anything here I dont like and Ive tried at least half of the menu!

My first visit was a pleasurable experience, the food was fresh and tasted delicious, the service was excellent, there was a lot of takeout business being picked up when I was there, it looks like the neighborhood favorite spot for takeout. I look forward to my next visit.

I love this place. The food is delicious. It has a nice vibe. I had sushi, my husband ordered the daily special of fried fish with lemon butter sauce with ginger, rice and steamed veggies. Lovely server, sushi bar is fresh...a real asset to Beach Park.

My experience here as always been stellar! Sushi is great quality and the Thai food is amazing! Never a bad order from here. I either dine in or do take-away and by the time I am done, I am looking forward to my next time here! Keep up the great work!

I have been eating Thai food for years and this place is one of my top two Thai eateries across the country. Very pleasant and rapid service, food is great, and prices are reasonable. Expect to enjoy you meal and this restaurant.
