I should have read the other reviews before going there. It was about 7:15 pm on Saturday night and it was packed. We walked up to the door and were barely able to get inside and the reason was they only had 1 cashier working!!! With that kind of line most places open things up!! The 2 trays left for carrying drinks were dirty so we didnt take one. We found a table finally that was clean BUT it was next to the plate and silverware stand. That was a mistake....there were only a few forks and they were either stuck in the holder or bent badly....and of course the dishes that were dirty were left right next to us while we were trying to eat. The ladies bathroom hadnt seen any cleaner that evening - the food trays were empty and when you asked for something they said they were out and there was going to be something put in its place. I wanted a rare piece of steak, the kid cooking tried to give me medium and well done pieces because he didnt want to cook more. The wait staff was lacking in numbers and seemed to be spread thinly. The food was not good and when we got home we were rushing to the bathroom. I went to the golden corral website to write to them......there is a blank page when I click on the "contact us" location - I wonder why?? DONT GO TO THE ONE IN TAMPA!!!

I went there this weekend as its one of the few places that was open. Our dinner cost $30 and let me say that was way too much for what we were offered. The plates were dirty and greasy the silver were where do I start there was food stain on the knife and forks it took me 5 minutes to look through it all to find something that wasnt dirty. I understand they use a machine to clean, but someone should overlook this processes before it goes out on the floor. I decided to get some steak which took forever(that isnt anyone fault as it was crowded). The cook was cooking raw meat and cooked meat on the same grill they were on different sides raw on one and cooked next to, but THE RAW MEAT WAS TOUCHING THE COOK MEAT only if the FDA saw this. The waiters do not listen, I was talking to my finance and she just swoops and take my plate I WAS NOT done, it was hard enough browsing through the line to find something edible that tasted right. Never again in the last 4 years this business is going downhill

I was at Golden Corral for thanksgiving while waiting inside I noticed your manager Alba was overwhelmed with some customers to the point where she ignored some which frustrated them even more to the point they actually had to voice their opinion where everyone was hearing it she walked away from the man which I thought was rude, all I see and hear from her was a bad attitude.. after all that was done she left and came back between the times 3:20pm - 400pm she let 3 guys in from where customers exit which I thought was odd being that Ive been waiting for a long time to be seen ... and they werent waiting in line at all. My whole experience there was just horrible my waiter was really nice and everything but I just think management needs to be worked on . Never coming back there. And I WILL RECOMMEND PEOPLE NOT TO GO THERE!

I wanted to post 0 stars but they dont have 0 stars. I went to this restaurant twice and both times vomited after I left. The first visit I found a fly in my mashed potatoes. I think I got food poisoning because shortly after I left I became very sick and vomited. After a few years I thought I would give it another try, I went and had dinner. The food tasted ok and there was no fly on my mashed potatoes but shortly after I left I got violently sick again and had to stop somewhere to vomit hard. I almost didnt make it. Seems I got food poisoning not once but TWICE! I called the place and talked to the manager, he seemed uninterested with my situation and offered no solution. The place is nasty, dirty and expensive. Definitely PASS ON THIS PLACE! They should be shut down!

The restaurant was dirty and the food trays were all empty. They were out of chicken and told me it would be 5 minutes till they had more. 10 minutes later, they still hadnt brought out chicken. When I asked, they said it would be another 5 minutes. Everything was cold on the buffet and the chocolate fountain they advertise on their front sign wasnt working. The employees looked like they were random people they found on the street corner at 3 am. Only one of them ever smiled or made eye contact with us. I found myself reluctant to ask for a drink refill for fear our waitress would spit in our drink after asking for a fresh cup of coffee. I finally demanded to see a manager and was told one wasnt working but I could come back during the week and talk to him.

I love how everyone that actually wrote a review did not take the time to make sure their spelling is correct or that what they wrote made any kind of sense. I have eaten at this location many times and have attended various functions there and have never become ill. It is always clean when I go and the employees are thoughtful and courteous. I find its some of the customers that make the place look bad because they simply do not know how to act in a public dining setting. I am a picky eater and enjoy a good portion of the food that is offered as does anyone else I have accompanied to this restaurant. The people that complain are probably doing so to get a free meal

The restaurant was disgusting. The plates and forks that were set out were wet with food still on them. The food islands had food split everywehere with no one wiping them off. The lettuce was so warm that it was rusting. Just where my family was sitting, every table was filled with dirty plates, not just 1 or 2, piles of them. The door was open to the kitchen and smell coming from there, I cant even explain. It was the most awful smell. There was food tracked from the kitchen to the dining room that looked like it had been there all day. This place was so awful that my family couldnt even finish our first plate. We left and went elsewhere. Waste of $70.

Before last night I hadnt eaten at a Golden Corral for abour 7 years. It wasnt nearly as good as I remembered. My previous experience was in North Carolina so I cant say if the entire chain has gone downhill or if this particular location was just nasty. The food was of low quality and the place was not very clean. The gentleman minding the steak grill was rude and he kept running out of steak. Of course it wasnt just him; the rest of the buffet staff was inattentive and not helpful at all. On a brighter note, my waitress was very friendly and kept my glass full. The dessert bar was also quite impressive and the steak was much better than I expected.
