Generally, we avoid buffets because the food is never anything special and I eat way too much, LOL. This one is definitely a mixed bag. Its nice and clean and the staff is very nice. It wasnt crowded, which was probably both a blessing and a curse. While it was easy to find a place to sit, and get through the buffet, some of the food wasnt as fresh as it might have been. I tried a number of different things, starting with a salad. The salad bar was nice, with cold fresh ingredients and a good variety. They could have done a better job on the iceberg lettuce. Some of it was big chunks from the core of the head. I also tried the tuna salad, which was pretty good, just a little sweet for me. Next were the entrees. I was surprised to find some breakfast options. I love biscuits and gravy, but being of southern heritage, Im really picky about gravy. I decided to put a spoonful on my plate and try it before I really went for it. I also opted for the meatloaf, some pot roast, a few chicken livers, mashed potatoes with gravy and some mac and cheese. Im really glad I went with a small sample of the gravy, which was not good. The meatloaf was nothing special, but pretty good. I was glad that they didnt mix in green peppers. The pot roast could have been a bit more tender, but the flavor was great. The mashed potatoes were real, not dehydrated. The mac and cheese was a bit overcooked, but the flavor was good. The big surprise was the chicken livers. Badly cooked, they are like little, bitter hockey pucks from Hades, but these were perfectly cooked, moist and tasty. They had sautéed onions on the side. There was a wide variety of desserts and they certainly deserve credit for having a nice number of sugar free options for the blooming number of diabetics. I tried a bite of my husbands sugar free blueberry pie and it was quite good. It tasted like it was made from fresh berries and not gooey canned filling. My selections were a bit of chocolate lava cake, which was very disappointing, and a spoonful of bread pudding. The pudding was a bit too sweet but had a very nice nutmeg flavor and good texture. While nothing was stellar, the food was all respectably done and better than most places of the kind.

on 5/25/2015 i was getting food from the buffet when i noticed that you can see part of the kitchen from the buffet steak grill area. absolutely disgusting, there was crusted and liquid grease oozing from almost every oven cooker. there was dirt and grease crusted on the ceilings. The bug sticky pads that trap bugs was visible on the floor which should have been hidden from customer view and thew were full of dead bugs. The floor of the kitchen was wet sort of like if you were to walk into a mopped bathroom except with pieces of wet bread in the water. disgusted by this i asked my table server if i could speak to a manager. she said sure and pointed to a man near the middle counter where the registers are and told me he is the owner of this golden coral location.i approached the man and introduced my self. he shook my hand and asked how can i help you. i told him yes i am very disgusted by the view of the kitchen from the buffet. he said that cant be right, i have an award for the cleanliest golden coral in the area and that if you go online you will see my awards under the golden coral website. i then led him to the buffet to show him what i was talking about. he then started to raise his voice at me and said are you insulting my intellegence startled by the hostility in his voice i replied i am only stating my opinion there is no need to get angry. he then sarcasticly asked if i am complaining to get my money back i told him no and that i am addressing an issue with the cleanliness of the restaurant. he the told me go on you tube go on face book go viral and that he does not care after he said that he yelled this conversation is over so i said fine then i will find other routes to resolve this issue and i turned around and left. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

The owner of this place does take good criticism Id recommend stay way from this place I went there six days a week some of the MGR Will not help you in stand around doing nothing to help the help is always on cell phone The mens bathroom always filthy. Slippery floors loud music loud kids running around and bumping into elderly people The MGRs do nothing about this 99% of the time filthy plates and utensils one-day I picked up five plate. Many days the salad bar it was filthy. The hut food is cold that egg cook he doesnt even listen to you he cant cook eggs on Sunday You get sick if its David the MGR then great the Lady MGR she cant cook at all most the help does not speak English speaks broken English doesnt listen to you hard to get refills just a poor service all the time I get good service at one time John the oner make off like he cares but after all the comments on the Golden Corral websites he did not like this and makes a call to me dont come to my store mind you cant make nasty comments on the site this isnt a corporate store so he can do as he like he told me dont come back go to another store all so I found out his brother owns 5 store hand has a better stores and dust get a long I can see ye

This place was beyond the best buffet Ive ever been to, and Ive been to quite a few. The place is immaculately clean, from the seating area to the buffet line. There was a wide selection of foods to choose from, and it all looked fresh and well cooked. I ate a variety of different dishes and have no complaints on food taste. I enjoyed everything I put on my plates. My wife, whos a salad fanatic, says they have the best salad around. She was amazed that the had fresh chopped chicken, shrimp, ham, and bacon all available at the salad bar (most places have two options). Throughout the evening the manager even calls all his servers the the buffet line for periodic cleanliness checks, for when the cooks may be busy or cant come to the opposite side of the bar. We went at dinner time and was shocked that this place wasnt over crowded like other buffets we have attended. This place was awesome. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend!

We used to love this place. Tonight was quite different. Not crowded for a Friday night, 12/18/15. First, all the soda machines were down so they were serving bottled pepsi or sierra mist. We sat down and my salad was fine but my wife was looking for her fried food (chicken and fish). Discovering there were no fried wings, she spoke to the cook who advised her to return in 8 minutes. She did and there were no wings. She asked the counter tender or cook where the wings were. He said they were gone and then spoke to counter manager in creole and they laughed. My wife asked him to speak in english, as he can clearly speak it. The counter manager said she would tell what he was saying, (but did not). After being dealt with rather rudely, she returned to the table, upset by how she was treated. We put our tip on the table and left. Alberto and the Asian gentleman who usually wait on us will be missed, but we wont go back there.
