Worst Mexican Food EVER!!! would not rate it one star if that was a option. Lets start off saying that when it comes to Mexican it is my favorite food and I have eaten Mexican pretty much across the US and also Mexico. Since moving here to St. Pete a year and a half ago I have been trying to find a good go to Mexican restaurant. My room mate and I decided to check this place out. First thing we noticed was everything and I mean everything is Ala cart. Which I thought ok no big deal. First thing we noticed was this isnt your typical Mexican restaurant that offers you free chips and salsa so we decided to order this first. When they came out they where average at best, no different than if you go to your local Walmart and pick up a bag of Tostidos. They give you four types of salsa. The main salsa is literally in a small salsa bowl and it consists of nothing but chopped tomato, onion and cilantro, thats it no real taste, no salt nothing very bland. The other three is two different heat consistency hot sauce type and a green verde these three come in a bowl the size of a shot glass that you cant even get your chip down into to get a good taste. I did like the taste of the hottest one even though it probably just came out of a bottle. We both decided to go with a burrito and one chile Relleno. When the food came out it was almost comical. They brought our burritos out on a huge platter plate and that was it, just a burrito on a plate, no garnish, no melted cheese on top or sauce nothing and the burrito isnt much bigger than what you get from Taco Bell. I took the hottest salsa (shot glass size) and decided to pour it over my burrito to give it some substance. The burrito itself was hard and the filling was to be desired I could have made a good pork roast, threw in some Mexican seasoning and green chilies and it would have probably been better. When I asked the waitress for some more hot sauce she said it was a additional charge I couldnt believe it since we had ordered chips and salsa and I was assuming the condiments that came with it had free refills, so I guess if you order chips and salsa dont expect extra sauce without a up charge being added. I also ran into a friend of a friend the other day and we got on the subject of Mexican food and we both had the same experience with this place so I do not recommend it at all just stick with Taco Bell much cheaper, friendlier and sauce is free LOL.. This restaurant really needs to consider there patrons and make them more a priority. I am not one to complain and I did not complain there and I have never wrote a review but this place was over the top when it came to poor service, lack of quality and over priced penny pinched food.

We recently had some friends visiting that wanted Mexican food for dinner so the 4 of us decided to walk to Agave. The place was busy for dinner so after a short wait we were seated . We sat for maybe 5 minutes and our waiter took our drink orders and he dashed off not to be seen again "Im not exaggerating" for 30 minutes. When he finally returned we had devoured that small basket of chips and were eager to get our orders in. I was in the mood for tacos , the real kind you know small corn tortillas w/ meat onions and a side of lime. I asked the waiter and he said ,oh yes you want the blah blah blah! I repeated back so thats 3 tacos , yes yes he said. Next 3 orders were easy 3 fajitas. Ahh sir can we have another tiny basket of chips please? Again our waiter dashed off with no drink refills and we never saw another basket of chips either. Now I understand dinner is a busy time for the staff but we did not see this waiter again ! We are a super patient group but ...come on ...actually I finally had to grab what seemed to be the manager to find out if we ever going to get some food! She returned and apologized and said their was a mix up on order but it would be out shortly, Ok it happens but in hind sight our order never got turned in! 30 minutes later a lone dish made its way to our table it wasnt sizzling so it must be my tacos! Yeah ! NOT. I was brought 3 Arepas not tacos. ...Im like "whatever Im hungry" ! 5 minutes later 2 fajita platters made their way out and we are all trying to be polite and not eating waiting for the last fajita. 5 more minutes no food finally our guest says please eat its getting cold, we chase down the manager again but now she has an attitude, REALLY!! The 3 of us made contributions to feed our friend from our plates, 20 minutes later they bring his food. At this point he lost his appetite so the manager returned with it in a To go container and the bill w/20 % auto gratuity . Are you kidding me !!!! Now we never asked for anything free but at this point you would think somebody there would push the customer service button! 1 star =the food was "ok " 2nd star = our sympathy as you will go out of business if you keep running your business this way!

First of all there is no handicapped parking up front. Second, I am in wheelchair and vehicles blocked the way very badly and their curbs dont allow people in wheelchairs to get up and on to the curb. Thirdly, their parking is terrible! We had to park several hundred yards away.When we finally got in there the service was incredibly bad! My wife had to actually get up twice to ask the bartender for more drinks and she brought them to our table. No of the waitstaff or management said, "sorry for the unconvince!" She got up the last time to pay the bill because the waitress never came. My food was fine, but my wife wasnt at all happy with hers and she was very disappointed! When we finished the small containers of guacamole, melted cheese and salsa we asked for more so we could doctor our food a little better. Each dish was at least a cup in measurement and were charged $18.00 dollars! WTF! If I knew up front it costed that much I wouldnt have asked for anymore! We were shocked with the total price because it was $74.00 for the four of us! When we asked if there was a guaranty on the food there if someone didnt like their meal that badly? The head waitress said, "no!" I would never ever go into that dump again and I would recommend that everyone steer clear of this place! If you are looking for Mexican food DO NOT GO HERE! This place is a rip off and a scam! Trust me I know because I have been to many other Mexican establishments and know what good service and food is really like. I know your response will be that authentic Mexican cuisine costs a lot more than store bought, but it sure doesnt cost that much more! * The restaurant is hardly accessible * Terrible Parking * The food on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 5 * Waitress service is terrible! * The very average food is very sky high for what you recieve! * If I had to go to the bathroom I couldnt * The place is too small and to loud!
