This was our first visit and wont be our last. Had drinks on the rooftop bar at sunset. Fabulous views of the gulf and intracoastal. Outdoor seating was posh and very comfortable and the drinks were reasonably priced given the million dollar views. We lost track of time watching the sun set. Fortunately, the restaurant texted us to let us know our table was ready. We went down for dinner at Castile which has beautiful views of the intracoastal waterway and both indoor and patio seating. Danielle, our Hostess, was personable, bright and beautiful and she made a point of congratulating my daughter for our special occasion dinner. Dinner was terrific. Our waiter Paul, was an encyclopedia of information on all the menu items. He also made a point of congratulating my daughter. We settled on the Yellow Fin Tuna Poke and Mussels Zamora for starters. These tapas plates are meant to be shared and were perfect as starters for the three of us. Will order both again. Entrees were the Black Grouper Cheeks which were lightly battered and fried to perfection - tender and moist. Needed just a tad more spice for my taste but recommend getting it while its on the menu. Locals know the meat from the cheeks of the grouper is the best part of the fish. The Harissa Grilled Culotte Steak was perfectly cooked and disappeared way too fast. My daughter ordered the Pasta De La Tierra Pasta and added scallops. With or without a protein this pasta dish is a 10. As a bonus, Paul gave us a plate with three Seared Diver Scallops on a bed of perfectly cooked creamed corn casserole, candied pancetta, smoked tomatoes and jalapeño Prosecco cream. This was a dish where the whole was infinitely better than the sum of the parts. Im stuffed just writing about this meal.

To start, Ive never taken the time out of my life to write a review, good or bad. We went as a party of six by boat anticipating an amazing restaurant and ambiance. The ambiance is great, the food not so much. We ordered a round of appetizers to include the shrimp al ajillo (shrimp were bad, it came with three that we divided amongst some of the group and all realized simultaneously not to eat them) tuna (good but for $15 it came with five tiny pieces) the lamb meatballs were actually good, and a charcuterie board which left a lot to be desired. This is just the beginning. My wine glass was filthy, lipstick AND wine reminance on it. Everyone had a different style wine glass, which drove me insane. We had to send back a $45 NYstrip that was in edible, tasteless and so chewy it was literally a jaw workout. The paella..... sad. The entire experience was mediocre at best with a five star price tag. We have anticipated dining here since they opened and finally made it when they werent closed (hours do not match up). We are locals and will not be dining here again. They need to focus on the food and not so much the environment.

Called the day before for reservation as this was my wifes birthday and spoke with the hostess who told me she would be on duty the next day as well. When we arrived I identified myself and we were seated at regular table, no view, or anything special; it was 6:30 pm and 1/2 full. We ordered cocktails, our dinners, and I told the waitress we would review the wine list for a selection. Surprise, our cocktails arrived along with our dinner: no time to sip and chat, no time to order a wine. We ordered wine, but when they brought hot wine glasses, not just warm, out of the washer, we cancelled the wine. Then the waitress brought our desert menu and we waited 20 minutes for her to return to take our order, then another 20 minutes to bring the desert, so 40 minutes just for that part. Then another 20 minutes for her to bring the bill. This is not a place to celebrate anything, and dont expect good service.

I was finally able to give this new St Pete Beach restaurant a try. Normally, I enjoy a handful of local favorites along Gulf Blvd but had to try this new place. It was outstanding! Castile has a vibrant menu, filled with diversity. We ordered 6 appetizers to share-we just couldnt pick one. Tuna poke and lobster fries were possibly our favorites-so fresh and so good! For entrees, we ordered the short ribs which had a deep, sweet and savory glaze. Plus, the jumbo lump crab cake. This has the largest lumps of crab Ive ever seen. So big you have to cut the lump into two bites. Great flavor, not overpowering the crab but just complimentary enough. Amazing! And to finish we shared the cheesecake flan-just try it. Who would have thought? So decadent. And the classic choco taco! This was a fun, delicious twist on a classic. I highly recommend you give this new place a try-you will not be disappointed!

Great atmosphere and good food! I would definitely consider this as an upscale restaurant and the prices would reflect that. The food itself was great! Probably one of the best steaks Ive had in awhile! Theres a good selection to choose from, but the menu can be difficult to understand. Some of the wording, I felt, needed their own definitions in order to know what they meant. I actually looked something up on my phone before ordering to make sure it was something I would like. Other than that, its a good quality restaurant with great food. Service was good as well, but towards the end of our meal it significantly slowed down. Our waiter seemed too preoccupied with another table, and all we wanted to do was pay our bill and catch the sunset from the rooftop bar. Unfortunately we didnt make it in time, but it is what it is.. Other than that, I would definitely recommend checking them out!

We were celebrating our daughters birthday and of course Mothers Day as well. We were excited about tasting some great Castellano Spanish food! Well the food was atroshious! The paella was anything but! I dont know how this couldve been construed by anyone as a modern twist to the wonderful Paella that we experienced in Spain and other Spanish restuarants. The ONE piece of scallope was undercooked and not fresh tasting! The singular shrimp was over cooked and tasteless! Absolutely and by far one of the worst culinary experiences weve ever had! Suffice it to say that after an expensive bill we left the restaurant unsatisfied and hungry for food but it was too late to find anything open at that h

I ate at this restaurant last night and I had high hopes for it given that the ambiance was nice and it looked like a top quality place. I was sadly mistaken. This was by far the worst dinner experience ive ever had. This restaurant spent way too much on making the place look nice that they forgot to spend the money to hire a good chef. The shrimp was over cooked and the scallop was undercooked. The service was ok but the food was absolutely terrible. Do not eat here, save your money ((because the food is over priced and again, not worth it)) and go eat somewhere you and your family will enjoy and actually feel full by the end of your meal.

The server was amazing, the food was incredible, and the views were breathtaking. However, the kitchen took over an hour and a half to get our entrees to us, with the manager combing out to tell us "they are plating right now" multiple times. This was a business meeting dinner so the check was a very large one. The manager was rude, to the point he spoke down to our company owner asking what profession she was in and why she expected it to take less time to get the food out. Because of the manager tonight I will never book another business there and will not recommend it to my colleagues (many of whom live in the St. Pete area).
