Went to the one in Lakewood Rch years ago. After multiple disappointments I stopped going. Only after a neighbor, Crazy Bob told us about the one on University did we try it! Ordered a cheese pie, thought we play safe & start basic!! WOW!!! Amazed how great it was! Real cheese that actually make strings!!!! Just like i remember in New York. And sauce that was totally authentic Not the sweet stuff so many places use (&call it pizza sauce!!). The "Pesto Pizza is a must try!! Menu description does not give it justice at all!! It is loaded with real cheese (again real cheese & loads of it! The pesto sauce was perfect filled with fresh garlic and herbs!! . Didnt plan on ordering that , the description on the menu did not intrigue me. But when i saw it in the case, I was hooked! Love at first sight!! Ordered one piece to share- Just to taste it!! I was sold!! That is my next pizza there! I am cery glad i gve it a first try! I understand Wed thru Sun are the best days to go there. (Walter is the pizza meistro!!! , and does the pizza those days!!!

Can I give NO STARS? I have been to this place 4 times.... and one delivery. The food is awful -- I have tried the pizza, eggplant parm., lasagne, house salad, garlic rolls and a couple other pasta dishes -- I would never order any of them again. Everything is just saturated in plain tomato sauce, and the pizza was chewy and greasy. We called in to complain about the delivery food -- it was inedible -- and the management (a guy, the owner) was about as rude as a person can get and they made no attempt to make it right -- he just yelled at us. They actually cussed at us. We cancelled the charge on the credit card. We will never go there again.

Im torn here... the pizza is great, our family loves it, and we really enjoy going in to eat and picking it up. But NEVER ORDER DELIVERY from them. Delivery times are miserably slow, commonly around an hour, despite them saying 45 minutes. Tonight they said 45 minutes as usual, but we waited 1 hour and 25 minutes to find out that it hadnt even left their store yet. We chose to go pick it up at that point rather than wait another hour (or more?) before their delivery driver got back and brought it to us. So yeah, great pizza, nice people, eat in, take it out, BUT DO NOT ORDER IT FOR DELIVERY!

DO NOT ORDER PIZZA FROM THIS PLACE!!!I am completely disgusted at how i was just treated. I had pizza delivered an hour and a half after ordering, agternis was told there would be a 45 minute wait. When the pizza was delivered it was completely cold! I called and spoke with the manager and he was very rude with me and said that my delivery was not that long and that he cant do anything about it, then he hung up on me! HOW RUDE! I called back and then the lady answering the phone hung up on me again. DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!

Horrible experience!!! I ordered lunch for my boss and coworker on 12/20/16 and it literally took 10+ minutes to place the order. 45 minutes later I received a call saying there had been an accident and the food would not be delivered that we already paid for. I had to ask them to remake it and ask if we could come get it. The complete order was wrong and half of it was missing. I will never order from them again and negatively recommend this place due to such poor customer service!!!

They have some problems with getting orders right we ordered and they delivered the wrong thing. I called them back and they apologized and sent me the right order. They have the best pizza in Florida. Im from Maryland I know good New York pizza use to get it. Ive been in Florida now for 20 years and have been looking for good pizza and this place has it. Pasta dishes and mozzarella sticks are so good too. They have some issues to work out but the food is excellent.

Truly sad how downhill this place went. Used to go there for lunch and get the lunch special. They like to sell you two day old pizza doctor it up with fresh cheese and call that a deal. The guy who runs the one in Lakewood ranch is a pro and gives supreme customer service but these guys need to take notes and step it up.

Everything is good. The veal parm was tender, and the crust just delicious. Served with penne with a marinara sauce, just to die for. Also had the greek salad, plenty of feta and olives, with balsamic vinegar dressing. Pizza ordered was sausage, mushroom, onion---wouldnt have it any other way. Enjoy!

Stay away from this place and dont give them your credit card information. I ordered a delivery, after 10 minutes they call back saying that they didnt have what I ordered so I cancel the order but they still charged my card, I call them and they avoid me. Never buy again, worst service ever.

The pizza never arrived, we call two hours later and they lost our address, then delivered the cold old pizza... Disgusting. Ordered again a few months later, Pizza never arrived, we call back, Manager says we didnt place order, said we are liars.... Too much drama for us.....

We used to love their pizza. We have been customers when they were small. Yesterday they told us would have to wait 35 mins., well we waited almost an hour and there were hairs in our pizza. UPDATE: Managernever called back. No more food from this place.

I was there on Friday November 4 2016 at noon. For the two special and drink. The bill came to $ 5..30. I gave the wait person 20..30. Got 14. 00. Bad wait person every Friday I go there for lunch. Bad wait person.

Best pizza in town! The vegetables are fresh and the dough is fantastic. Sounds like all the poor reviews are for delivery service. Would recommend eating in or picking up yourself. Definitely worth the trip

You get what you pay for. Its a bit pricey compared to other places but worth it to us. If you want classic Neapolitan style pizza (think NYC style) this is where to get it in Sarasota. We love it.

I cant tell you how many things went wrong with our first experience. Dont eat there, dont order delivery, and definitely dont give them your credit card number. Stay away!! Buyer Beware!

Best pizza in Sarasota, hands down for me. Try the spicy chicken pizza. It is the closest thing Ive had to Long Island pizza, since I lived on Long Island!
