The first time that I visited PDQ Sanford there was a line around the building for their drive-thru, so I ended up going somewhere else for lunch because I didn’t want to wait. The fact that there was a line, though, made me feel like it was probably good food, so I returned on a different day to give it a try. Since I had never been there before I was at first confused by their drive-thru setup, which has you look at a menu on a board and then drive around to give your order to a person at a window. The worker at the window was not very helpful at all; she took my order but didn’t ask me about things like what sauce or sides I wanted with my combo. While I understand that this is a chain restaurant, I also wasnt very impressed by the fact that you could look into their drive-thru window and see shelves of boxed and canned products that they cook with and serve. It felt sloppy and unprofessional to have those things stored in a place where the customer can see them, and it just hammered home that theyre not actually making most of the things that they serve you but just repackaging them from a can or a box. After I paid and got around to the other window to pick up my food, the girl there asked me about which sauces I would like and gave me my food. I wish that I had checked my order before I left because when I got home, I realized that they left out my zucchini fries, which was the one item I was actually excited to try from their menu, so that was disappointing. Overall the food was average; the chicken tenders at Publix are better than PDQ, but their sauces were good and the fries that I did receive were decent. If I were to try PDQ Sanford again I would have to go inside to eat, as I wasn’t satisfied with the drive thru service or the quality of food to go.

DO NOT EAT THERE!! YOU WILL GET FOOD POISONING! I have eaten at a lot of chicken finger places when I used to go to school in Alabama, but I never tried PDQ until yesterday. He food tasted fine, but what came after was a disaster! I soon as I finished my buffalo chicken sandwich, my stomach started hurting and it was a pain to drive back home. I thought it would go away, until I started breaking into heavy sweating and as soon as I got home I ran to the bathroom. And of course my worse fear came true, I got food poisoning!:( I spent the rest of my day throwing up and using the toilet. I had a meeting that day that I had to miss. I know it was Pdq because I had eaten nothing that day but the buffalo chicken sandwich. And as soon as I ate, I started getting the symptoms of food poisoning! And to clarify, food poisoning is cause by a virus or bacteria including but not limited to: salmonella and E.coli!! It was the worst food poisoning experience of my life and I had to suffer through a whole day throwing up at least 20 times. So beware anyone that eats there! Their food might taste fine, but theyre obviously not sanitary in there if their food is infected by poisoning bacteria and viruses! Also, I tried calling PDQ located in Sanford, 3 separate times and it went to voicemail. Thats TERRIBLE customer service! I left them a voicemail and got no call back! Dont eat there!!

I received a coupon for "Acts of Kindness" day and tried to use it at this location, only to be questioned by the manager on how many times Ive used it. The coupon has a bar code that they cant figure out how to scan. I dont make it a regular thing come to this location just because of the constantly shrinking tenders and the staff. There are way too many more options for food then to waste my time being interrogated, especially for a coupon based on "kindness". We ordered the 10 tenders and asked for 1 each of the sauces so we could try them. This location has about 9 total sauces. We were told they cant give out more than 3 sauces per person. We offered to pay for the sauces and were told "its not like that", we cant charge for them....they have to limit the number given out. The portion size of the sauces are maybe 2oz and for a party of 2 it isnt very much. If you find it hard to give out one of the cheaper condiments, and we also cant pay for them, you really need to think about return customers, of which, we will not be.

I cant stop raving about this place. The experience is different when you walk in the doors. You have a sudden feel of anxiety because there are people everywhere. It is not your usual fast food experience. The kitchen is completely open and I literally got my 10 tenders and medium fry within a minuet of ordering it. I dont know if I just got lucky and came in on a day that everybody was on their mark but it was 100% satisfying from start to finish. I felt like I could sit there and watch every employee do their thing in the kitchen and not get bored. Everybody had a smile on their face and was willing to do anything asked of them, and the food was great and very filling. I highly recommend this place and think that every single other fast food chain in the world should spend a week shadowing this one restaurant so that they know how a fast food restaurant experience should be. I give it an A + Top Notch service and food Ill definitely be back.

Best drive thru food ever! Where else can you get fresh zuchinni at a drive thru? And real fresh squeezed lemonade? Its great. PDQs focus is on quality & freshness & they deliver. They have chicken tenders, something I always thought was only for children, but these are for adult palates, as well. Grilled or crispy (fried), chicken or turkey, sandwich or plain, theyre served with fresh cut french or zuchinni fries, & all options are top quality. There are also great fresh salads, with or without meat. The salad dressings & dips are super & feature fresh blueberries, ginger, garlic, or Sriracha as well as the standards like BBQ, buffalo & ranch. PDQ gets strong 5 Stars for great food thats convenient & of high quality.

The fries were terrible. They were all brown and greasy as if people cant tell that they double fried them.As for the crispy chicken tenders, they are very bland and taste similar to frozen tyson tenders that you buy from the store. On another occasion I decided to order a chocolate milk shake. I have a sweet tooth and I know a chocolate milk shake is supposed to be sweet but I am not exaggerating when I say the chocolate milkshake is absolutely disgustingly sweet. Do your self a favor and dont order it. The place is very nice and clean but that is mostly due to the fact that it was just recently built.

Their service is very nice! Smiling and quick. The food is overpriced by about $2, but their chicken is tender and yummy! The sweet tea is fine if you prefer not-too-sweet tea. Its more like half-and-half. The blueberries in the blueberry coleslaw have no flavor, but their homemade sauces are really good. Definitely have to try their amazing zucchini fries. They also sell cold CHEERWINE! Bottled, but still! They also have a cornhole game set up outside. Love the handwashing station.
