I have been dining at Athenas for about a year. Each time I visit the service and quality continue to decline. The past two times I have had lunch there my order was wrong and I was forced to stand at the register while the counter girl tried to figure out how to work the register. When I did receive my order as a side I received 5 small slices of potatoes (not even 1/2 of the normal portion). My 1/4 chicken (white meat) consisted of a breast and 1/3 of a chicken wing. When I went back to the counter to tell the lady that I didnt receive a wing she argued which me about how much of the wing was missing instead of replacing it. I could care less if its a 1/3 or 2/3 of the chicken missing I would like to receive what I pay for. Will not return, rude and need to be trained on how to please customers.

Have dined here at least a dozen times over the past couple years. Everything is fresh and tasty. Their gyros are really good, pork pita very good, all sides are yummy, especially the potatoes. While the chicken is good (seasonings great) the pieces tend to be a bit small. Salads are nice and fresh with generous feta cheese. Someone complained about not enough meat on gyros which is not true, but then Im not a big eater. Have had gyros other places and this has just as much meat. They have plenty of room/tables if you want to eat-in but lotsa people take out. Service is consistent and pleasant.

Was excited to try this place, based on all the glowing reviews. We left severely disappointed. The roasted chicken was so dry that it was hard. The rolls were also dry. The potatoes were bland, and the zesty feta chicken wrap was full of the dry chicken and a feta spread that was mixed with hot sauce (seriously, it tasted like buffalo chicken). The baklava was even dry...which was strange, as it is supposed to be soaked in syrup.

Had the Gyro, the Mediterranean salad topping was amazingly good. Fresh tasting and full of flavor. The only disappointing aspect of the Gyro was nowhere near enough meat, in fact it was so minimal I didnt even taste any. The pita and hummus is also a good pick another fresh tasting choice. Calling our order ahead we were able to walk right in and pickup during the lunch rush.

I really like the hummus plate, but dont like their taziki sauce-so therefore dont like the Gyro. I also dont like the Med salad- way too much feta. The potatoes are greasy (so I dont order those either) but the chicken is good (but wish there were sauces available besides bbq sauce). I recommend the hummus plate or chicken with sides of hummus and olives...:)

I take classes in Maitland around the corner from Athenas so I dine there almost every Tuesday. The food is always fresh and wonderfully delicious! I usually get some hummus to go, it is the best in town! If you dine in they give you a small taste of Greek wine, which is very good as well.

The gyro pita had thinly sliced gyro meat and over a cup full of greek salad and some sauce all I tasted was the onions and cucumbers. Wont come back here

Best Greek restaurant in town! Not fancy dinning, but quick and delicious. Their chicken is on point and they have great avgolemono soup. Just do it!
