I dont even like cupcakes or cakes. Seriously. In fact, thats why I stopped in. I was with friends who wanted to check it out and since I knew these things never taste as good as they look, I was not going to be lured. Wasnt I surprised to get sucked in!?! The kind girl behind the counter pointed to each beautiful cupcake and told us what they were. My group of friends got an original white chocolate, an Almond Joy, a cookies and cream, and a coconut pineapple. I almost got out of there with nothing but in a final moment of weakness, got a slice of the butter pecan cake that was on the counter. The cake slice was very generous and was amazing. Of the cupcakes, although all were fantastic, most of us liked the pineapple one best. Again, I ate off all of them and I dont even like cake! HIGHLY recommend.

Matties Bakery is an incredibly wonderful hidden treasure!! We loved her yummy cupcakes so much we asked her to make my daughters wedding cake (plus several dozen cupcakes) just in case. They were so great, there was nothing left for us to take home!! This is a Must See and must eat at Bakery - so much so, we are "frequent fliers" for her scrumptious cupcakes and to-die-for scratch made warm Cinnamon Buns. Hope to see you there soon :-D

By far the best gluten-free cupcake I have ever had!! We used to drive to Sweets in Waterford, after having Matties turtle cupcake the other place doesnt even compare!! They have a great variety, more than the typical gluten-free vanilla and chocolate that other establishments stay married to. I didnt even make it home, I pulled over and ate it in the parking lot since I was so excited. -A very, very happy customer!

Absolutely blew me away with service, quality, creativity, everything! They took on my cake request with one days notice and the final product was AMAZING! Much better than I imagined. My daughter loved the cake and she recognized it immediately as her own! Beautiful and very tasty, too!

Super cute cafe with delicious cupcakes. I had the Joy of Almond cupcake which was the perfect balance of chocolate and coconut. Also, the staff is super friendly and loves to chat it up with visitors. Highly recommend this as a stop in Sanford!
