My wife and I had a highly disappointing experience at this once excellent restaurant. We had not been back to this for several months and had the desire for BBQ. Our previous experience here was great, service and quality of food blending in to offer a very successful meal. This trip however offered a very different experience. We elected take out. The food was nothing but second rate and neither of us desired to waste the calories and finish. We started by sharing an order of wings. Although missing some of the flavor from our previous experience we still enjoyed them. My wife had the ½ chicken dark and rib combo. The chicken was bland with no flavor. By nature dark meat is usually moist and tender. Hers was on the dry side. The ribs were nothing but grease and meat. After two bits she wished no more. I chose the burger. Again flavor was lacking and the bun had more taste. Although ordered medium the burger was very well done. The sweet potato fries due to take out were cold and soft. They were packed with the burger which did not help matters. With new BBQ restaurants hitting the area Bulldog is now off our list. With the restaurant only half full on a Saturday night it appears others fell the same way. The next morning confirmed our initial opinion the night before with two upset stomachs.

Waitress mentioned the owners presence but I agree that he is a real d-bag for not introducing himself when he walked past us like 4 times on a super slow night, even after we complained about the pulled pork that tasted like it was boiled. The onion rings didnt even have salt, and the mac n cheese at the local supermarket (Publix) tastes better. The brisket was not fresh, arrived to the table cold and clearly looked like it was microwaved. I have to agree that Scrubys is way better than this. Anyone who gives this place 3 or more stars has no idea what real bbq is about. Once you have been to a real bbq town like Memphis, Houston and even Tupelo (yes middle of nowhere but fabulous bbq) you will understand how poor the quality is at this joint. Next time you drive by this place and consider stopping in, keep driving. One more thing, I have no problem paying for good and good quality food but this place was abnormally expensive for less than mediocre fare. I was beyond disappointed that I felt it was worth the mention.

Its very sad that there is a BBQ restaurant that serves Brisket that isnt smoked, but thats not even why i gave it a 1 star review. Lets start with the sides, they give you a square of cornbread the size of a to-go sauce container and a side of coleslaw that comes in a to-go sauce container, the slaw didnt taste like anything and you are going to see a theme with this review because the only thing that i ordered that didnt taste plane was the Burnt ends***** beans that doenst even have burnt ends its just regular beans with a TON of sugar and 1 or two very very small and thinly cut pieces of bacon. The Brisket was moist but tasteless and its obvious that it wasnt smoked or even brushed with liquid smoke it was just a hunk of soft meat. I also ordered onion rigs and friend pickles but both tasted like nothing. to be hones for the price and the amount of food they give there are so much better options in the area. PLEASE stay away from this place unless you like to be disappointed and robbed of your money.

Having many positive reviews on one of the highest ratings in Miami, I looked forward to a great lunch experience at Bulldog BBQ. But I arrived to a pretty vacant restaurant with a bland vibe. The service was excellent as it thought it would be, but the food was very disappointing. I did have the option to pick two meats so I chose half brisket and half Turkey with ROASTED corn. I was serviced a very mediocre if not a below average tasteful plate. The brisket and Turkey were tin cuts and not warm at all. The roasted corn was burnt on one side and the rest cold. The sauce was exquisite and tasteful but brought out very cold. After using each sauce I notice that it made the meat very cold and untasteful, as visiting other bbq restaurants I had sauces brought out at room temperature. The corn bread was dry and as soon as I picking it up, it fell apart. Im hoping my next visit (if there is) the food would be top notch as others had described. Pleasant eating... =)

The meal was great wonderfull food, fare beer selection,( not "Lous Beer Harden) good very attentive staff polight informative Prompt service, resonably priced, good location ,free parking, I recommend the sampler 4 beers, and conversation with friends, plenty of room for large groups very clean environment. Only three things could make this place a local hang out and friendly tavern feel that I personaly love in such a place here the are 1) dim the lights I love your fixtures and real light but way to bright for intimate conversation. 2) be creative ad booths allong the back wall they will allways be full and wait staff will get better tip cause folks like to be comfortable when drinking and it will improve privacy for people with children. 3) Add home made pies to the desert menu, and cheap wine by the bottle and stay open till 2. It will transform the place into a dance place if you add live music on week days. Loved it ! I will be back !

I went to Bulldog BBQ and I was expecting decent food but I have to say, I was blown away at how good the food is. There is no where in South Florida that you will find better chicken wings. The ribs were the best I have had anywhere, and the beef brisket is untouchable. I have been to many BBQ places in Ft Lauderdale and ribs places including Tony Romos, Bobby Rubinos, Tom Jenkins, Jacks BBQ and none of those places compare to Bulldog BBQ. The portions are huge, the sides, mac and cheese and burnt end beans are phenomenol. The deserts are crazy good. The atmoshere inside is nice and modern. The waitress was excellent. I went with my wife and another couple and we had such a greatr time. You can tell the owner Howie puts a lot of love into this place. Food cant taste that good with out love. We cant wait to go back with friends and relatives

I absolutly love this place. One of the best BBQ places Ive ever been to. Ive been to MANY all over the country. They got something special here. Everyone Ive taken here had been blown away. Every time. Ive never had anything except an absolutely delicious meal here. Good beer selection. Clean. Simple casual environment. Its all about the food here. The staff is always fun, and and attentive. Total hospitality. I cant say enough good things. They are in an unexpected, inconspicuous location. It kind of makes it feel like a real gem. Love, love, love Bulldog BBQ & Bulldog Burger. Btw.... They have a burner served on a Crispy Cream Donut bun...... Holy Deliciousness. If youre looking for unpretentious good eatin, this is the spot. Not to mention the award winning chef!!!

I only got the brisket, Mac and cheese, corn bread, and slaw.. So I cant speak to whether their burgers are good or not but the brisket was boring, just a cooked piece of meat, didnt seem too fresh and if it was ever smoked you couldnt tell.. The Mac and cheese was frozen dinner quality and the cornbread was tiny and dry.. Everything has a quantity over quality taste.. It wasnt awful tasting but it wasnt something that anyone who likes good BBQ would call good BBQ.. And it was insanely overpriced especially considering the lack of quality. I havent tried the burgers and maybe thats where the quality is but it certainly is not the BBQ. If youre reading this in hopes of finding some good BBQ, these arent the Droids youre looking for..
