Swanky, cool, contemporary, and centrally located on Restaurant Row. This restaurant tells very little from the outside. Step into the world of modern Indian dining. The setting is not your classical ancient scenes. Rather, it has a more metro feel. The stark white walls, dark wooden furniture, mixed with cushion banquets, and spots of red sets a contemporary backdrop for stunning food. Saffron Images VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL Wafer crisp papadam with mango, mint, and tamarind chutney. The chutneys were heavenly. I ate the mango chutney with a spoon. GARLIC NAAN – Unleavened bread topped with garlic butter. Soft, slightly crisp, not overpowering. SAFFRON SPECIAL NAAN – Naan topped w/fruit & nuts. Crisp around the edges, soft, and fluffy in the center. Slightly sweet and heavenly. This can be eaten alone! PATTHARKA GOSHT – Thin slices of marinated lamb cooked on a hot stone. As the description suggests “hot stone”, I was expecting a hot stone (patthar) on the table. Too much? Yeah I though so too. Wonderfully done, marinated nicely, full of flavors. This dish arrives at the table on a sizzling plate. If only you could smell the aroma. KESARI MIXED GRILL (NON VEG) – Assorted platter of tandoori specialities. Moist tender pieces of meat were succulent and full of flavors. LAMB XACUTTI – Broiled lamb cubes cooked in dry spice & grated coconut. Chefs special. I especially like the tiny grated coconut flakes. An beautifully crafted dish that really compliments lamb. JEERA PULAO – Basmati rice flavored with cumin seeds. Fluffy and tasty. KINGFISHER BEER– Medium body, with a slightly bitter after taste as the beer cools. Great for cooling off Indian spices. Saffron has managed to rise above the traditional mold of Indian restaurants around Orlando. Here is a place that has taken the ancient traditions and elevated to the modern world. Isn’t that the real story behind the rise of India as a power player on the global stage?

Very ordinary food with horrendous service. Went there with my brothers family and mine. It was busy and we had a small wait, which was understandable. When the table became available, the waiter couldnt wait to seat us. He was already asking us to order appetizers even before the table was cleaned out, and cutlery laid out. His reason? We are really busy and your order can take longer. So we obliged and ordered appetizers and full course all together. Customers at 3 other tables came, were served and 1 table even paid and left - we got no food! All this time, no one even came to our table to ask us or offer us even drinks or refresh our water glasses or even offer something while we waited for so long. When the food finally came, it was extraordinarily spicy! It was like someone put in a custom order to make everything extra spicy. All this waiting along was tough on my little 13 month niece who was getting cranky and the 2 spinsters sitting in the next table who were of course getting all the special treatment and better service, who even were seated after us, ate and left before our food even arrived had the gall to give us advice on bringing small kids to a restaurant. Arrogant wait staff, really bad service, dated decor and truly ordinary food. Does not deserve whatever good rating its been given.

Ive eaten here three times. Every time the food was great, only had good service one time. After my last experience this place will never get another dollar from me. Let me explain. My girlfriend and I decided to take a couple of friends because the food has always been good, we showed up at 7:38, our reservation was at 7:35. A couple of 2 had walked in the door right in front of us and the manager was going to give them our table reserved for 4. We ended up getting the table after a little discussion. After we sat down, it was 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. The manager ended up waiting on us for the rest of the night, the same guy who was going to give our table away. Service was incredibly slow all night but the food was good. What made me so livid was the fact that after we had eaten and paid our bill ($140 worth) while we were just finishing up our drinks and about to leave, the manager had the nerve to ask us to leave so he could give our table to some other people. I wonder if he would have asked his Indian patrons to do the same?

I am a native UK girl and recently moved here. As an indian food connoisseur, of indian origin myself and growing up in a family which owned and operated several very successful indian restaurants; I can fairly say Saffron is an excellent restaurant. They have finally filled a void in the Orlando region for Indian food. Truly consistent and fresh with great portion sizes and value for money, I highly recommend this restaurant. The Manager Mr Sunny, is an exemplary individual with superb customer service and attention to detail. I have had the food overseen with great attention by the Manager himself to provide us with further satisfaction of this fine restaurant. I will surely recommend Saffron and will publish my next article in the United Kingdom of the culinary delights I have encountered here.

We had three dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, and Chicken Madras. Naan and palak paneer. The food is good. With a little more effort the food could be great. Service is courteous but slow and non-attentive. The place is clean and busy. Really the place is worth a visit. For me, I eat Indian food a lot. They tried to sneak a fast one on us because the Chicken Madras and Chicken Vindaloo were the same dish. Although these are European dishes, they are typically as different as apples and oranges. So, we got the "you are dumb Americans" version. Same dish different name :) However, if you need and Indian food fix, Saffron is good and essentially clean. The Tikka Massala is their best dish. Naan is good but would be great as butter Naan.

One of the worst experiance.chicken chilli was too salty and the taste was not good. Madras chicken gravy was again very worst in taste and in the madras chicken, chicken was too hard. Chicken Briyani dont have any taste and gravy with chicken also very bad in taste. the shrimp Briyani, the difference between chicken and shrimp was the colour and shrimp briyani was bit red and taste was too bad. shrimp chilli was also too bad and top of that they added 18 dollar tips and the reason given by them was system adds tips if they server more than five people. to be honest only good was sweet lassie. Please stay away and the feedback was given to help humanity and hopefully they will improve their quality.

Customer service sucks in the restraunt We came from Daytona as we always go to ashirwad but tried something new I guess that was wrong decision The guy serving for table had an attitude to be rude as an owner of the property as we asked for another table as the table we got was not having lights enough so we can eat proper there was a table free he said that had a reservation we asked the guy again can we please move some where else then he said it will be another 20 minutes to be moved on another table as there were tables free so we had no options to leave without even having food They really need to change there behavior they are there for customers. Not for there for there attitude
