I placed an order for a few dhal Puri a over the phone and I was told told, "20 minutes, it gonna be ready in 20 minutes." Yeah right, I arrived 47 minutes later due to troublesome traffic. When I arrived, I was told, "Oh we makin it now" The owner walked back into the kitchen and a lady in there pulled out the tawa and thats when they started on preparing my food. Another time I ordered the House Special Fried Rice and was given a Chicken Fried Rice. I was still charged for the Special. These people have not Customer Service skills. The food has to be eaten right after its bought because if its reheated, the rice is hardened and definitely does not taste the same. I am Guyanese and I can attest to the fact that there numerous restaurants in Guyana with way better food and excellent service. Youre an embarrassment to Guyanese food and Guyanese people. Just close up shop and maybe someone else might do it right! I will never done at your hole-in-the-wall again!

Kaieteur Tropical Mist Restaurant located in Kissimmee, Florida is by far one of the best West Indian restaurants in the Northern Florida vicinity. Im initially from New York, so to come down here and find delicious food and wonderful service is an A+++. They have a wonderful atmosphere and are very welcoming upon entrance into their environment, which has me, and others coming back almost every weekend. Once settled in, the owner tries to make his way out of the kitchen and into the dining area to chat with us. Definitely one place that I have continually recommended to numerous friends and family to either try out or like myself come back. People out there will always have negative views and if youre one to think in this manner dont ruin it for the rest of those that like and want to try new things.

I cant lie i love this place not only because the food is excellent an the portions are generous but because no one and i mean no one can bring the Spicy Heat like this place. Their Jerked chicken with fried rice is incredible. The Beef with Bora is a must try! The curried goat again will make you breathe fire if you choose but is still extremely tasty without spice if you dont like your food hot. Either way this is a best kept secret in Orlando. Oh yeah and to address those who complain that it takes time, yes their kitchen is a bit slow because they make everything from scratch..........just do what we do.............call ahead and then either dine in or take out.

Upon entrance to this establishment, I received nothing but warm greetings, wonderful service, and amazing food. The staff makes sure you are well taken care of and does whatever they can to get you the best service possible. They have a wide variety of West Indian Cuisine as well as a simple bar, which also shows all Cricket Matches. It is a spacious place to cater to a family, couples, or even friends that want to sit down and have some great Caribbean food and a beer/wine. I have recommended this place personally to many friends and family and have never heard anything negative. The jerk chicken and bbq chicken fried rice is something you surely have to try!!

Poorly run business, the owner shows up 15 minutes late then says it will take 45minutes to setup with no apology, only saying that he was busy. The food isnt even that great, definitely not worth putting up with bad attitudes and poor service. No website, hours on google were wrong. We are not from the area but come to orlando often and will not be coming back, the only reason they are still in business is because the other West Indian restaurants in the area are just as bad. Someone from up north should open a restaurant out here and blew these guys out of business.

Our family has been to the restaurant in Kissimmee, Florida on several occassions. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. You would think your mom was helping in their kitchen. The restaurant would do well to recruit a more seasoned wait staff. We have been there when the restaurant is slow and also when it is busy. Unfortunately, the waitress struggles at all times. Simple pleasures like offering more drink and delivering our order to the kitchen correctly are missing. I would recommend this restaurant, but ONLY FOR TAKE-OUT!!!

The food is great the price and portion size is great too but the wait time for food can be a bit long - dinning in or take out. The restaurant is clean and staff are friendly. Things that can be improved - Music can be too loud in the day/early evening. Its a restaurant not a night club or a disco party. The waitress needs to stay in the restaurant or in the bar or at the waitresses station in the back of restaurant not in the kitchen.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. There customer service is horrible !!!!! they never said hi when i walked into the restaurant not even a smile. There wait time for food you might as well die trying to wait for food. They got my order wrong and over charged me. You have to tell them everything specifically what you want. I was very dissatisfied with the service and i even called to express my dissatisfaction.

From upstate New York to Gainsville/Orlando and Kaieteur Tropical Mist was a pit stop that will become a usual for my family and I. The atmosphere was great, followed by complimentary customer service. Definitely recommending this place to everyone I know! Thanks Kaieteur Tropical Mist for a memorable experience!

Horrible service and take out orders. Placed an order at 4pm and still was not ready at 5:15pm. Had a feeling my food was given to someone else and when I came to pick up then theyre starting to prepare it. Seems to be the normal thing here. Get organized.

The best Guyanese food in Central Florida. The only thing you have to prepare yourself to wait on the food to be cooked but you know its fresh you can taste it.
