I stopped in here for lunch last week on what was an unusually busy day according to one of the employees. Its a seat yourself establishment from what I could tell, so I found an empty table. My waitress was over quickly to tell me about the specials and answer any questions. I felt like breakfast so I ordered the two eggs over medium with bacon, grits, a biscuit, and coffee. My food came out quickly. Its hard to mess up eggs so those were good. The bacon was cooked well, not too crunchy not to chewy. The waitress offered to grill the biscuit and Im glad she did. It put a nice crust on it and really enhanced the flavor. Last, but not least: the grits. I dont know (should have asked) if they make these the traditional way or if theyre instant but the taste was wonderful. Usually its hit or miss with grits but these were pretty great. The inside of the restaurant is what youd expect from a locally owned diner/cafe. That sort of welcoming feeling you get when you visit your regular spot. All of the staff greeted their tables with generally positive attitudes. It was definitely a good first experience. Next time I visit, Ill try one of their sandwiches for sure.

The only food i have had at Hilltop is breakfast. They have a wonderful breakfast special till 11:00 am. This includes 2 eggs, homefries, 2 bacon strips or 2 sausages and coffee or tea for $4.49. The waitress staff are always friendly, courteous and provide excellent service. They make you feel right at home. The restaurant and restrooms are always clean. This is easily one of our favorite breakfast spots in the New Port Richey area.

This cafe has the best food, service, and prices. Now..because of this there is always a wait. This is the only downside, well that and they close at 2pm. Everything on the menu is just delicious, breakfast and lunch. The prices are very reasonable, large portions (or small if you choose), the service fanominal! It is worth the wait and you never feel your being rushed out.
