We work nearby and just like to mix up our lunch options. Cuban food is one of my favorites, so I was really excited to try this for take out. The food was really cheap and it was pretty good; the shredded pork didnt have a lot of flavor in it so I ended up adding a lot of salt to it just to give it something other than blandness, it tastes like there is no Oregano or Mojo in the meat (which is the basis for a traditional cuban pork). The portion size is really good and everything else was pretty decent. Not the best cuban food Ive ever eaten, but above average. Living in Tampa and being around all the Cuban cafes there has definitely spoiled me. Also my girlfriend and her family is cuban so I eat a lot of home cooked cuban. EDIT: 3/14/13 Today the pork was still super bland, and a little dry. The rice was a little dry, so Im glad the bean juice gave it some moistness. Edit 3/9/17: I guess since this is the only Cuban restaurant around, the bar is set pretty low...

This place isnt open late and that is the only thing that disappoints me. I have short days at work once a month and have made it a point to go there for the last three. The food really is authentic and the service is quick! My brother-in-law swears by their breakfast for a hangover and I cannot walk out without a sweet Cafe con Leche! The coffee is enough in itself to get me back there. While its not a cheap cup of coffee it is the best coffee Ive ever had(and I visit Starbucks at least twice a week

My buddies and I drive up from Town-n-Country and start a bike ride from here to the east side of Starkey Park. We like to get here early to beat the traffic and this place opens at 6 a.m. They will have about 6 different kinds of gourmet coffee and it is delicious. Try one of their breakfast sandwiches; like an egg mc-muffin but on Cuban bread and sooooo much bigger and better. Ive lived in Tampa 28 yrs. and this is the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. Prices are very reasonable.

Definitely worth the trip. My wife and I drive 20 minutes to grab breakfast here on our days off together. My wife loves the cafe con leche. Shes a vegetarian, and this is her favorite spot to get a breakfast sandwich - egg and cheese on a pressed Cuban. The Cuban sandwiches are on point, both Tampa and Miami versions (one has salami, the other doesnt). Last but not least, the staff is super friendly, very attentive, and they care about making connections with each customer.

Very good authentic cuban food; perhaps the most authentic in this area other than some of the restaurants in Ybor. They also have excellent coffee. The cuban sandwich is quite good with a large portion, and the beans are rice are super inexpensive and also very, very good. Great little spot and the bikers on the Starkey trail sure seem to love it! My main complaint is their use of styrofoam--more recyclable materials would be appreciated!

From out of town, came in July 30, 2017. Amazing food! Wonderful baristas, Michael and Fatima. Super friendly and helpful. Gave us lots of tips on what to do in the area! They had amazing menu knowledge, and knew exactly what to suggest to make our experience unforgettable! We will definitely come back in the future!

The food is always good, the staff friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The only complaint I have is the whole place fills up with grease fumes and it gets your hair and clothes that lasts all day. It is best to eat outside if possible.

A little hidden gem in New Port Richey! Who would have thought? They probably have the best Cuban sandwiches Ive ever had and Im a Cuban from West Tampa who knows and loves her Cuban sandwiches ;). I keep coming back here!
