We called in a delivery order, the people were very rude and cut us off while trying to talk, was put on hold multiple times with out even being told we were getting put on hold, and at the end of the call I tried telling them I was going to pay with my card, they hung up on me. Half an hour later we received a very angry and unprofessional phone call, yelling at us to go outside for our food. When we got outside no one was there, then we see the delivery man across at a completely different apartment building. We finally got his attention so he came over to us and did not even speak a word of English (us knowing barely any Spanish at all). We told him we had a credit card, he called and very quickly read the card number to the restaurant, and they tried to tell us we had no money even though there was even more money on the card than the bill was worth. The man angrily sped off. I strongly recommend that you do not order from this restaurant.

I feel like its only fair for someone to write an up to date accurate review of this restaurant. this could very well be the worst chinese food Ive ever had. just moved to the area and tried to give this place a chance. bad idea. all of the food was cold on arrival. the wonton soup had ONE wonton in it. the fried rice was hard like it was two days old. we ordered sweet and sour chicken and instead of putting the chicken in one container and the sauce in another they put both in one paper container. All of the sauce was at the bottom and the chicken was soggy and all of the breading had fallen off. not to mention that the chicken tasted frozen. the egg rolls were just fried rolls with barely anything inside. and the lo mein tasted like garlic noodles. complete and absolute waste of $50. this place is over priced and under prepared. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

If you buy from here, make sure you either eat in or carry out. I usually carry out because the one time I ordered delivery, it not only took more than AN HOUR to get to my house (which is only 1.5 miles away) but they gouged my eyes out with the delivery charges (and the drivers still expect a tip after that). The food is good, reasonably priced though honestly in this recession, it could be a little cheaper. If youre looking for a nice atmosphere in a restaurant, the place itself is decorated well, although theres so few patrons at any given time that youll more than likely have most of the place to yourself. (which is not a bad thing necessarily)

I started eating their food when they were "Yeungs" on 41st street. Their General Cheng chicken is the best Ive ever had. I live on Belle Island and even after they moved they still deliver to me. (min.$30.00) The food is just as good as it was for the 15 or so years I ate it when they were Yeungs. The only thing I can say to the man that ate at the Chinese restaurant that was there before East Ocean is you got used to their food and you dont like the change/difference in the sauces or preparation. By the way plugging another restaurant in a review is very poor taste.

The food was disgusting, rice was congealed lump, oyster beef had a disgusting taste in runny watery and oily sauce, the chicken had no taste at all and the shrimp was covered in garlic and thats all you could taste. Best thing to do is just close this place and the cook and owners do the opposite of cooking food. Ive never written a review before. After feeling very hopeful, we realized this meal was really bad after a few tastes and we quickly cleaned up and threw $40 worth of food in the trash outside. I feel the sanctity of my home is lost having this food in it.

Im about a year old resident of Miami Beach. My first order of business in a new city is to find the best Chinese food. I order delivery only and seldom detour from the specials menu. Gerneral Changs is the absolute best and the BBQ spare ribs delivered is about $20 (lunch), for this you get two monster meals with fried rice & egg roll..add a few bucks for dinner special and they throw in WonTon soup. Food is always fresh, delivery is quick while food is still hot and not mushy. East Ocean feeds me at least twice each week and never once a problem.

I have ordered food from here on several occasions and the food is very good but recently their deliver charges have become scandalous, $8.00! If you want this go inside normally its very empty most of the day so you can have a quite spot to enjoy it lunch or dinner the chicken wing are delicious clearly there is someone who has years of southern cooking is solely in charge of that task. Great job. Just the delivery fees n taxes is murder to your wallet!

We searched for a good, authentic chinese cuisine in our nabourhood and we got this restaurant recommended. We ordered scallops with vegetables and a seafood casserole and we totally liked it! Perfectly-steamed vegetables and seafood were harmonically spiced. In contrast to all the oversweated and overspiced american chinese-like fastfood we could enjoy the fresh meal. Fresh iced water, chinese cracker with dipps and lovely service were for free! :-)

I drove over to pick up my order. When I walked in the people behind the counter were busy taking orders on the phone so it was understandable that my presence wasnt acknowledged right away. Several calls later though, no one still has asked me at least in between calls why I was there. I felt neglected and feel it was poor customer service. Food was ok. Could be fresher.

I live 15 blocks away, and order for delivery often. They are always incredibly fast. The employees are all very professional. Every dish is wonderful, and all for the price of a pizza. Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is quaint, personal, and pleasing to the eye. I would advise anyone reading this, to go ahead and eat at East Ocean.

Ive been ordering from here for years, and its always fast service and they are so flexible with the changes I throw in like no soup exchanged for more rice at no extra charge. Just cant go wrong and the food is amazing, I always go with the generals chicken or sweet and sour combo. The one thing they need to add is orange chicken.

From the outside you expect a cheesy, paper lantern decor and cheap art. Not the case here. I walked in and had to stand back, truly a beautiful place. Staff was fast and friendly. Food prices are great and the overall ambience is something to see.

Delicious won ton soup! We ordered from the combination platters which are reasonably priced at $10.95 including soup, eggroll, and a choice of fried or white rice. I had kung pao chicken which was very tasty. Great quick service. No complaints.
