I wish there were half stars! I recently visited Miami to see my son in college. We dont see each other often so when Im in town we try to make the most of our time together. We decided on Big Pink based on word of mouth. So we walk in and arent greated so we sat ourself. Apparently the girl who was sitting by the door not saying a word didnt like that... 3 minutes go by...then 2 more...our "waiter" Mark takes our drink order. Comes back in about 2 minutes with an open beer (no glass ) 2 waters and one straw. He leaves, then comes back 3 minutes later to take our order....we wait 10 minutes for our food. The Onion rings are brought out by someone other then our waiter. No utensils, no plates, no napkins, Just a bunch of onion rings. No sauce? I tell the 2nd waiter that they should come with sauce, he disagrees so I show him his menu that states that it should. He leaves and comes back with the sauce. Still no utensils, napkins or plates. After another 5 minutes our food is brought out. We have to ask for napkins, and utensils, we then have to ask for pickles which should come with the orders. We tried to enjoy the meal but all we could think about was what did we do to deserve this type of service? What caused everyone who works there to be so angry with us... I say everyone because every employee we encountered was flat out rude. Another server by the name of Joanna walked by and my son asked he how was the soft serve ice cream and if it was possible to have some. She responded by saying "do you know me?" We said "well....you do work here right?" And it says Joanna on your shirt. Clueless she never answers the guesting but instead goes on about another restaurant that serves french villa style ice cream. WTF? The icing on the cake was when the check came. Mark brings the check and the hand held card processing machine. I insert my card and when it asked for the tip ammount I selected none. He immediately says "was everything ok" sarcastically. I said well the food was ok. He stores off and doesnt come back. I walk over to him and say "Mark, do I not get a reciept?" Surprised he stutters and hides his hand. In his hand is my crumbled receipt. But not the completed reciept. The first transactional reciept and not the final copy. I stored out and havent stopped watching my credit balance since. Beware or horrible customer service and possible fraud from BIG STINK!

I had seen multiple positive reviews for The Big Pink so I decided to give it a try. First of all, it took me ten minutes just to ask for a table. Second of all, I asked for a menu to decide what I wanted since the estimated wait was twenty minutes, who I assume was the manager at the door said he would have one out but never brought me one. Thirdly, the twenty minute wait turned out to be an HOUR! When I was finally escorted to my table it took my waitress ten minutes to take our drink order and when we placed our drink order she said they had ran out of our drinks so to choose other drinks and while we were thinking she walked away and came back literally another ten minutes later and gave us water. Well thank you to our waitress for deciding for us without even asking. Without asking if we were ready she walked away and didnt come back until she saw me getting up to go get someone else after waiting fifteen minutes. When the waitress brought our food out and eating utensils she dropped my friends fork and said she would have one out. She never brought out a new fork or came to refill our water and when I finally had had enough I went to get the man who I again assumed was the manager and asked for a fork and said he would have one brought right out and he never brought it. When we were done eating we had to wait yet again another twenty minutes for our check. We wanted to leave the waitress a tip but decided overall the service was terrible and it would take forever to ask her for change for her tip because the service we got was not worth more than $10. We decided to leave her $5 and we walked out only to walk in again due to the fact my friend left her hat at the table to the waitress counting her money at the table and being rude to my friend for not leaving a good tip. Her least amount of time for her to come to our table was ten minutes so I obviously do not think she deserved a good tip and being upset for making a small amount after her service. Not only was the waitress terrible at her job but so was the manager. Overall, my experience at the big pink was longer than three hours and not worth it. Will not visit again or recommend it to anybody.

Ive been coming here for past 3 years. A month ago I got a puppy , and decided to come here and wait the 30 min to sit outside with him. Our waiter was great, got him water without asking and food was Delish as usual . So the second time I decided to bring my pup here on 3/6/16 I was so disappointed when the host hold me the tables were a grab as you see available situation. Ive always had to give our name prior. My husband and I still did as ordered and went outside to grab the table, when the outside waiter stopped us and told us to see the host. Even after we explained the host told us to seat ourselves he still insisted only the host can seat us. We went back to the host , where he advised us that they were " busy " & again we can grab the table ourselves. Frustrated I walked to another waiter inside and asked for a manager . His response was the manager was " busy" and I could wait outside . Long story short, their rude customer service just made them loose a long time customer. My husband and I ended up walking down to Prime Fish and enjoyed excellent service and amazing dinner with our pup! Now they get 5 stars!

I walked into Big Pink with my friend at 7:20 PM on a Tuesday night. There were many customers dining outside but many open tables inside. We were seated immediately after telling the host we wanted to order cheesecake for dessert. Once seated, no one greeted us for 10 minutes. One server came to our table, looked past us out the window, and complained about another server taking her table to the host. However, she didnt even acknowledge we were sitting there! She walked past us three more times as did two other servers. We finally asked the host to send us a server as no one had greeted us or taken our order. He went and talked to a server who was busy outside. The free server came back and looked out the window behind me a second time and STILL never greeted us! After another 10 minutes, we got up and left. Absolutely pathetic. As we walked out, the window gazing server asked us if everything was alright. Really? She couldnt wait on us but was concerned about why we were leaving? Keep your cheesecake. Ill never be back. Management: train your wait staff to work as a team or theyll destroy your business.
