First of all, let me make it very clear that I am only rating this place 1 star because google doesnt allow for zero. I went in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with two of my friends. I wasnt blown away with the quality of the food & the service wasnt great either. One of my friends discovered a hair in her spicy mayo & brought it to the attention of both waitresses. One was totally clueless & the other, her name was "Linda" apologized & took it away. She said she would take my friends sushi off the check, which was nice. However, after that things got interesting. She took the hair behind the counter, where the Sushi chefs prepare the food & they all took turns discussing & examining the hair. I dont understand Chinese so I have no clue what was being said but they were talking loud & looking at our table. I was super uncomfortable & I wanted to leave. Moments later Linda comes back to out table with the hair in her hand (YES, you just read that correctly) & told us that the hair didnt belong to anyone who worked at the restaurant. I was disgusted at not only the lack of customer service but the fact that she would bring the hair back to our table to pretty much accuse one of us. I work at a restaurant and of course mistakes, accidents, etc happen all the time but never in my life would I bring a hair back to a table to discuss the issue further. I asked for a manager & she claimed to be the manager, HIGHLY doubtable. I called the other waitress over & asked who the manager was she she wouldnt answer because she wasnt sure if Linda had said she was or not. Come on, how do you know know who your manager is? After leaving our table with the hair, she continued to pick up plates & serve guests with the same unwashed hand that had held the hair. This place is disgusting & I hope that anyone reading this review stays away.

Ive obsessed over sushi for most of my life, traveling with the soul purpose of particulars restaurants as destinations. After spending more on the cuisine than most people have spent on their cars, at some places that are both highly regarded for both quality and decor on the level of some Michelin star restaurants, I always eagerly come back to Miyako. Ive been a loyal customer almost since theyve been open. Your downsides if you would care as much are uneven rice:fish proportions (not always), and a lack of variety, but is easy to look past when you consider the consistency of flavor and price. Sure, on their all you can eat menu (at 15-18usd) you wont find a well seasoned ankimo (monk fish liver pate), engawa (flounder fin muscle), ootoro (high fat content tuna belly), but the flavor is very different and plentiful from almost every other Ive ever been. The salmon is always buttery, the white tuna has deep and rounded taste, and their salmon skin rolls are perfectly balanced between sweet and savory without being hard as a crystalline structure like other places serve it. If they ever happen to close, Ill consider it a major loss.

I called prior to going to this requesting if they had the jumbo soft shell crabs. The person answering the phone stated that yes they did. I drove 25 minutes in miami traffic just to be met by a greeter, whom i found out also answered the phone, whom was rude and arrogant. I informed her that i was the gentlemen that called about the jumbo soft shell crabs. She pointed to a menu showing a small soft shell crab stuffed inside a roll. When i asked her about the crabs she stated on the phone she had, she stated very condescendingly "Sorry but this is all we have." When i then asked her why she didnt just say that over the phone so i would have not have went there on a blank trip, she stated "sorry ok bye." I googled another place and went to go spend my $120.00 at Panya Thai Restaurant. They were polite and professional from phone call to completion of my transaction. In addition their soft shell crabs and frogs legs were perfectly cooked. I wish i went to Panya Thai first.

STAY AWAY!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY & ENERGY!! We were party of 8 and were told that the order will not take more than 10 mins. The 1st person got his food after 45 mins and the last person didnt receive food until all of us were done with our food. After 1.5 hours the waiter comes to her and asks her what did she order. SERIOUSLY!!! are you kidding me..??? You didnt know the order until 1.5 hours..?? The customers on the others tables, who came after us were done with their food and left before us. Manager admits that they needs to be organized and apologizes for the fiasco... Please stay away from this restaurant and save your time, money and energy..

Not bad. The place was clean. We actually really enjoyed our server (who was both funny and efficient.) Initially I was nervous about eating sushi at an all-you-can-eat because I was worried about the freshness and Im a really picky eater. The quality of the fish was average (i gave the 4th star for service). It wasnt spectacular but I have had the same quality of food at sit down sushi places (that cost more and were not all you can eat). The food was made as we ordered it and it was only $15/person (soup, salad, rolls, sushi, etc were all on the all you can eat menu)! Not my first pick but definitely would come back.

Miyako has the best fish of any restaurant in Miami period. I have been a faithful patron of this restaurant for over 10 years and the quality has always been exceptional. The all-u-can eat menu features a great variety of rolls, hand rolls and nigiri. Yes, if you want elaborate sushi like the tempura fried rolls generally served in Venezuela, Colombia etc.. then youll need to use the menu and order individual rolls that may be more familiar to you. If you truly love sushi, and you consider yourself a sushi purist, this is the place for you.

Found this place on accident while driving back from Miami, what a great find. All you can eat Sushi for $15 and its damn good sushi. Im a bit of a sushi snob, and I honestly expected the sushi here to be...well, all you can eat grade sushi (typically subpar). I was surprised to find that the pieces were made to order and the biggest factor, the sushi rice, was actually great. Ive paid much more for sushi that wasnt even half as good. Ill def. be back...now I just wish I lived closer.

I work inside, is very dirty. They use hand to pick the food, and pick up trash, and doing everything back in the kitchen. Super Dirty, if you get sick, it must the food. Never go there again. Food is suck. if you see what happen in the kitchen, you will throw up, and never want to eat there again.
