I attended 27 for brunch on Aug 28th and had a horrible brunch experience that still has not been corrected. While at brunch the following items occurred. 1) Servers forgot to put in our drink order 2) Servers forgot to put in our food order 3) Waited over an hour for our food. 4) Server double charged me on my bill Upon noticing the mistake on my credit card I contacted the restaurant and talked to a young lady named Sarah that Identified herself as a manager. Sarah informed me that my check would be fully refunded and that a complimentary dinner would be provided. She then asked that I come back to the restaurant the next day to speak with the food and beverage director to resolve the situation and that she would pass on my information. The next day I took time out of my schedule to go back to the restaurant to discuss the matter. Upon my arrival I met with the food and beverage director "Stephany David" and discovered that the lady that identified herself as a manager was a server and that the full information on my horrible brunch experience was not given to her. When talking to Stephany i was informed that should would immediately correct the situation and provide a full refund on the double charge that was appearing on my credit card statement and I that I would also be invited back for a complimentary brunch for me and my guest. Later that evening Stephany contacted me and informed me that they were having computer errors and that this was the reason why my credit card was billed double accidentally and that should would correct the matter. Several days later after emailing Stephany I was disappointed to find that this matter had still not been resolved and the initial responsive response had changed and I was then Informed to "be patient” to compound the long list of mistakes already made in my dining experience. Currently it is now 5 days later and my credit card has still not been refunded the money. Upon contacting the food and beverage director again I was once again told to be patient and given the response "these things happen". When I then inquired about the complimentary brunch that I was initially offered I was then told that this would not be given. Please note that I was given this answer while still waiting for them to correct the refund and long list of mistakes that had already been made. Overall my brunch experience was horrible from the top down. I no longer care about the refund or ever dining in this restaurant again after being lied to. For a restaurant with so much potential it fails with its staff. I would not recommend this type of service to any one in Miami

SUNDAY BRUNCH REVIEW. What we ate: GRILLED WATERMELON SALAD: Delicious, served on arugula with feta cheese and sweet onions and a light lemon dressing. Recommended. DEVILED EGGS: $9 for 3 egg halves. Not worth it. BRISKET: Excellent. Served with potato salad. FRIED CHICKEN: Served with eggs, biscuits and a spicy sweet sauce. Good. Not as good as Yardbird, but very good. COCONUT COLD COFFEE DRINK: (Thats not exactly the name, but youll know it when you see it.) Highly recommended. A little bit strong, but delicious and an unexpected mix of flavors. The bill came to about $80 for two, which included the automatic 18% tip. Decor: This restaurant is part of the Freehand Miami hostel, and shares space with Broken Shaker. All great places! Walk through the hostel front door, the past the community board listing local daily activities, through the back door, past the pool. When you see a set of outdoor tables, bang a right and go into the cozy house. Youll see a hostess stand at the end. Since they open at 11 am, you can get a seat quickly if you show up right around that time. Very cute inside, with a New Orleans meets Venice Beach feel. Great place to bring your Warby Parker-wearing, ascot-sporting friends who think Miami doesnt have quirky places. Relaxed vibe but with class. TL;DR: Go!

Horrible experience. We were sat outside and it was not busy at the time. My girlfriend and I placed our order for an appetizer and two mains. Three tables with larger groups, who were seated after us, had all received their second courses before we even got the appetizer, a charred plate of overcooked lamb. We at that point, with our other dishes no where in sight, informed the waiter we were leaving. He said he was very sorry and the manager was comping the meal. We left $20 on the table and left. The manager Pablo chased us down on the street and presented us with a bill for $80 after they said they were comping it!!!!! They claimed we had sat there and had several rounds of drinks. Of course we did. We sat there for 1.5 hours waiting for the appetizer and never received an apology or update from the staff. Ive never been chased down on the street from a manger. We never asked for the meal to be comped. We were told from the server it was being comped. A million restaurants on the beach, find another one.

Went here for dinner. The food is quite good but I found it to be pretty expensive for what you get. As soon as we sat down we were offered bottled water in a way that made it seem like it was the only option. The fish tacos were pretty salty and ended up costing 65 dollars, as the price was not disclosed on the menu. I found the service to be overly intrusive. It seemed like every five minutes someone was checking our cups and looking to clear our plates. And it was not that busy. The staff acted like it was a privilege to eat here. That being said my cocktail was amazing. Bottom line, if you have money to spend, go here for good but well overpriced food (though definitely not amazing by my standards) and outstanding ambiance. Otherwise Id stick to the bar upstairs for drinks (and happy hour) or go to the bar next door outside at the hostel for the same ambiance.

The Freehands restaurant is located in a historic 1930s house directly adjacent to the hostel—also designed by Roman & Williams, the interior has a colorful, beachy vibe complete with picnic tables, bright pink and green shelving, blue-and-white wallpaper, and tables lit with Virgin Mary candles. The menu is a hodge-podge of cuisines thats illustrative of Miamis melting pot, incorporating Caribbean, South American, and Middle Eastern foods in dishes like cheese bread made with cassava flour, banana fosters pancakes with Appleton rum, or arepas with ropa vieja and queso de mano. Dont leave without ordering one of their tiki-bar-inspired drinks, which are served with a garnish of orchids, plastic sunglasses, and upside-down nips of rum.

Horrible experience!!! Our service Hallie made us feel uncomfortable and rolled her eyes all through the time we were there. Good took forever and cofffe wasnt serve after we asked for it like 3 times after a 30 minute wait and the excuse was no cups available. The server messed up our orders and got upset and rude when we asked her to add to plates she had forgotten to include in our bill. She stormed out after calling us hostile. The food was expensive and with that services it really didnt it make it worth all we paid. I have had better services at IHOP even Dennys that tells you a lot. Dont waste your money. If you go and the servers name is Hallie RUN!! She is rude and not professional at all
