the worst costumer service ever! and the food wasnt that good either. we started by having the hostess give us a weird look when we asked for a table - we got there at 9 pm and the place says it closes at 11 pm. 2 hrs before they close and they werent sure if they were going to serve us. we finally get the ok from the chef to eat there and were seated. the place is very nice but it was all ruined with the food and service. we asked to go to the restroom and apparently theirs wasnt in "working condition" so we were sent to a crappy bar next door with a bunch of drunks trying to hit on my friends and i. very uncomfortable. cant believe they would make their customers deal with bar a**holes than fix their own bathrooms! the waiter kept coming by telling us we only have 15 mins to pick our food because the kitchen was closing.... it was 940 at this point. i was shocked because the place is supposed to be opened until 11 pm. the hostess then comes by and snatches one our menus. we were waiting on 2 more people to join us. i guess she didnt have enough menus up front so she just walks by the table and takes the menu back - not even asking if we were done with them. how rude! the waiter comes by and reminds us we only have 5 mins to order now. we were so flustered we ordered the quickest thing on the menu. pasta and salad. when we got the food - no cheese was offered, no bread, no oil, no salad dressings, nothing. the waiter doesnt come back to check on us for another 30 mins. the pasta was severely undercooked - it wasnt even edible. it was so hard to eat. we asked ANOTHER waiter for bread and they told us they ran out. 4 mins later they said they would cook some for us. when we got the bread... it was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. couldnt even eat the bread!!! it was just so awful. some other waiter came to pick up the plates and asked why i hadnt eaten. i told them, you cant even chew it. she advised she would get our waiter. he asked whats wrong, i explained. and then he said it was his fault, and that he had failed to check up on us. who even admits to being a crap waiter? he said hed talk to the chef and when he came back he said that they could cook it longer. i replied with "no, but i thought your kitchen was closed already??" then he said the chef didnt want to take the pasta off our bill. we were wrong, thats the way people eat pasta. the waiter then mentioned that the chef was difficult to work with, but he would get our drinks removed from the bill. a sprite, a glass of wine, and 2 beers... which were on separate checks. the waiter wanted us to pay together, so that my friends would pay for my food and not the drinks. i was so shocked he was trying to tell my friends and i how to pay for the bill. he stood there and said "ok you pay her for your beer, you pay your salad, we removed your wine, so give your position to her..." i cut him off and told him we would just like the check! about 20 mins later he came back with the check and it took another 15 mins to get the receipts. it was the worst dinning experience of my life. i cant believe how rude the staff was, through out the whole ordeal. i will NEVER be returning to this sh*thole. and i plan on calling the manager to tell him how awful everything was. do yourself a favor, and avoid this place!!!

Last night I had the worst meal (home or restaurant) I have had in the past 15 years at Spasso. After waiting 8 minutes (with no one in sight) we seated ourselves and were given three stale (yes!) half slices of bread. After a half hour (in an almost empty restaurant) we ordered. I had a seafood pasta for $19. It came with a mush of tasteless overcooked pasta, a half eaten shrimp, and about eight clam shells. The clams were literally smaller than my thumbnail so I could not be sure if there were actually any clams inside or if they were for decoration. My wifes meal was worse, if anything. The wine I ordered tasted like they had just pulled the oak root out of the vat. Perhaps the chef owner would benefit from another 2-3 years of culinary school refresher courses.

Went there with a group of families and the staff was very accomodating. The food and service were excellent. Wow, what can I say, the food here at Spasso is ridiculously good. The crab cakes are the best Ive. I highly recommend... This is hands down the most authentic Italian restaurant in town! You can definitely taste how fresh their ingredients are. I will definetly come back and recommend to all!

The chef personally came to our table and took our order. He recommended the crabcakes that were not on the menu and they were awesome. The service and food paired well with the outdoor patio, the music and lighted trees and fountain. Finally the White Russian was perfect and the dessert sublime.

Simply amazing! I came with some girlfriends and the delicious simple bruschetta was epic! My favorite entree was the truffle goat cheese pizza and the gnocchi special! Que Rico! We tried several desserts but the one that blew me away was the Italian cherry creme brûlée! My new favorite spot
