Kon Chau has become a regular lunch stop for my husband and I since we moved into the neighborhood. We used to go to a nearby place, but the restaurant only offered dim sum on weekends. We love that Kon Chau offers dim sum daily, along with other favorites. We usually order a variety of dumplings (their shrimp and parsley is the best!) and supplement with crispy fried noodles or pork lo mein. The service is always prompt and we usually get a table right away, regardless of how busy the restaurant is. Its a great location for weekday lunches - we are never there more than an hour. And on weekends, its a great spot for a family lunch because the large round tables can easily accommodate a large group. Id definitely recommend Kon Chau any day of the week. Be sure to try their soup dumplings!

I have been going to Konchau for the better part of 15 yrs. They serve dim sums to order, not a la carte so always hot out of the kitchen. We usually order 7 to 9 items for two! They are delicious. There is an old decor feel, even though they upgraded some few years ago. At present, they have free wifi so you can fiddle on your gadgets while you wait for your orders; or you can try reading the newspaper in actual chinese that they have available. The service is great, but at times feels like they are rushing you. Tending to your needs is a team of wait staff, not just one person. Crab does not agree with me, so will have to be careful and mention it upfront next time, otherwise, incidental cooking contacts aside, I would have rated the food Very Good.

Real Chinese food. Although the taste is somewhat affected by the fact that they have to use locally available veggetables. A typical example is they have to use green pepper here, which is just have too much water in the skin. The Chinese pepper has a thinner skin and more suitable for sauteed dishes. People working there speak Cantonese. Restaurant looks beaten up which is typical for many Chinese restaurants in the US. The owners either dont have the money or more likely that they arent willing to spend money for the upkeeping of their restaurants. BTW, for any people who can read Chinese, their name is 广州酒家。There is also a Chinese grocery store in the same plaza, which also looks worn.

This place serves some of the most authentic Chinese cuisine in Miami at the best price. Their dim sum is delightful, though you dont get the cart service like you would in another more expensive restaurant down the street. I am more than okay with this because that means everything is made to order and the food is much better. On weekends you get a selection of tea between the usual oolong or chrysanthemum. Service is attentive and very friendly. Just be careful not too order too much! The food is so good youll find yourself ordering more food than you can eat and that gets expensive. :)

I love this place. Ive been going there with friends since college around 2003 or so. I moved across the country to LA but still go back for their awesome dim sum every time I visit Miami. This visit I really ordered a ton of options and loved every single one. Im a vegetarian so Im always so happy to come here for so many choices. The staff still remembered me after so many years of not being in town the moment I walked in so that really made it feel like home. Best dim sum in South Florida and even trumps many CA places in my opinion for vegetarians.

I LOVE this restaurant! I have been eating here for about 20 years and can honestly say that although the appearance of the restaurant isnt necessarily the best the food is! I have also eaten at a 5 star restaurant down the street (which has excellent food) but find that the dim sum at Kon Chau is far superior! Mmmmm good! The best part of it all is that when they are not too busy they will deliver to my house and I live in Kendall! Going the extra mile makes the experience all the better!

This little place is great for dim sum. The food is always fresh and at a great price. They dont bring the little carts with dim sum here, you pick from a paper and then it is made fresh to order. Everything comes out piping hot! All the dumplings are great. The only reason why I knock down a couple of stars is beacause of restaurant aesthetics. It could use a fresh coat of paint and some remodeling. The bathrooms are a little yucky. Other than that, the food is great.

I would seriously eat here three times a week if I could. This is without question the best Dim Sum in South Florida. Steamed to order and perfectly consistent on each visit. Steamed shrimp dumplings, green tea duck dumplings, shrimp taro cakes, and vegetarian sticky rice are addicting. The restaurant is slammed on the weekends - make it a point to try it during the week for a more low key dining experience.

Consistently good authentic Chinese & dim sum. Staff takes good care of you & are very welcoming. Shrimp taro cakes & pork dumplings are delicious as is the House special Wonton Soup that had shrimp dumplings in it. Excellent veggie selections, generous portions, great prices. If youre lucky they may have razor clams as a special. Always check their special board

Great little place. I would even say its $ instead of $$. Most of the items on the dim sum menu are $3.50 and you get a good amount of food for that price. 2-3 items should be enough per person. Service was really fast, and the food was really good. It made me feel like I was back in California (where good Asian food is much more abundant than Miami).

Went there for a quick dimsum tonight. Best dimsum ive had outside of China....well, maybe some in NY or SF were better, but for sure best in Miami! Will be going back soon for their "tradtional chinese" from the back of the menu, which seems quite legit. if its as good as their dimsum, then this place will be a frequent visit.

I never write reviews but I had to for this restaurant as the food is just that good. I go there a lot since and the food never disappoints. Their dim sum is delicious! The spinach and shrimp dumplings and roast pork bun are 2 of my favorites. Try their eggplant and salted fish casserole as it is also very good.

This is my favorite dim sum place in Miami. Their other food is great too, but I rarely get anything besides dim sum. Everythings good, but my favorites are the steamed pork dumplings, the baked pork dumplings, the steamed duck dumplings, the stuffed egg plant and the soy sauce pan fried noodles.

Really dont know where to start with this place. Whenever you eat at the Asian restaurant and there is more Asian customers than others, it is very clear that the food is traditional. Everything here is suuuper tasty...interior is kinda old.. Dim sum menu is why people should come here..

Excellent Dim Sum all around. The food is always tasty and fresh. Some of my favorite items are the Pork dumplings, the Shrimp balls, the eggplant stuffed with Shrimp paste, and the pork buns. The prices are great too! Try the Yeung Chow Fried Rice, it is absolutely delicious!
