Im never really one to write a review about anything, especially restaurants, but I feel this place deserves one. My family and I having been frequenting this restaurant for quite some time. Its relatively inexpensive, good portions, the food is fairly tasty, and its damn close to my house. I can also get a decent car wash the Shell station right next door for $15. Like I already mentioned, the food is pretty good but this review is more about the service than the food. The service is terrible. Absolutely terrible. Nine times out of ten, my waitress, yes waitress (Ive never seen a male waiter so I will not call them servers), has had a very stank demeanor. You walk-in and just seat yourself and eventually someone will bring you a menu, not a smile or greeting to be seen. A few minutes later, someone else will bring you some water. Eventually, a waitress with complete disdain for her job will approach the table and ask if you are ready. No eye contact, no smiling; just robotic scribbling into their notepad. Once thats done, kiss your waitress goodbye till your food starts coming to the table. After all the plates are set, kiss her ass goodbye once again as you will probably not see them for quite a while. No refills on the water (did you even ask if I wanted something else?), no checking on me to make sure everything came out ok, nothing. Every time I go, I leave with a full stomach but a bad taste in my mouth from the waitresses who must hate their job and it rubs off on me. It doesnt help that they charge for to-go containers without mentioning it and tables of 4 or more get automatic gratuity. I understand the gratuity part, a majority of Spanish people suck at tipping, but charging me for a to-go container is ridiculous. I can only recommend this place if I give you a fair warning about the stank attitude exhibited by most of the servers. There are a few exceptions especially if theyre new, but eventually the stankness of the other servers will rub off on the new ones.

went there this morning after driving by for years. The woman behind the count Marisella was very nasty & disrespectful. I ordered a sandwich & coffee. I got the coffee quickly but the have a bread butter & cheese sandwich take more than 15 minutes is ridiculous at 820 in the morning. There was one person ahead of me when I got there, several people came and left as I was standing there. Not one person behind the counter looked at me and acknowledged me and said your sandwich should be coming soon. When I tried to ask a question, I said excuse me, Marisella shouted at me, "what!" I was shocked. I asked how much longer for the sandwich. She screamed at me that it wasnt done & walked away. I dont mind waiting but not when service is rude. I have to say from the beginning her whole attitude towards me was different than every other hispanic that walk up to be served. So either this woman is racist and nasty or just nasty anyway. Why would I spend money at a place where a worker behind the counter spoke to me with such disrespect. I asked to please get my money back and left.I will never go there again. I will not recommend it to anyone. Stick with Sergios on 120th if you want class & service or National Cakes Bakery on Quail Roost where they treat you with respect and a smile.

I visit this restaurant on a regular basis. They have good Latin food reasonably priced. they are fairly quick especially when you order the daily special. There is an employee named Maribel who is very nice and attentive. She makes eye contact with you often to monitor if you need anything. I hope the owner reads these reviews and use patrons comments wisely. I prefer not to seat by the counter because I dont like seeing the sandwich employee making sandwiches and buttered bread with his bare hands without using any type of gloves. he touches the bread, ham, tomato and almost every ingredient they put on the sandwiches and I wish they would follow the department of health and restaurants requirement of wearing gloves while handling food. I dont eat sandwiches there because of that. Everything else is Good. Maribel is very courteous, Tip her good.

I feel like there might be some confusion with this restaurant in the one next door, which has a similar name. This is Salvadoran food, not Cuban. They do a few things that youll be familiar with, but you can also get some incredibly cool delicious Salvadoran food. The wait staff was incredibly friendly; smiled all the time. The manager or owner (whichever he was) was amazingly helpful; even though I didnt speak Spanish he helped me decide what to buy and even helped me carry it to my car. Once I got it home we had a feast! I gotta say the steak sandwiches were the best Ive had in Miami, and they were a great price too. We had a big sampler thing that would be PLENTY for two people. Well be there again, even though its a little out of my wheelhouse. Great stuff.

Food is always delicious. I love their empanadas & croquetas. I always try to swing by the window to grab some before getting home, but the workers are so inconsiderate to the customers. I usually have to stand there for about 10 minutes to be seen by someone or I just walk away because theyd rather talk chisme with one another or completely walk away & they even have eye contact with me without someone asking what i would like . I even see the managers or someone of higher standards just walk on by while im just wanting one little croqueta .. Customers come first in the business world, not whats going on with Fulana & the cash registers -_-

Food was good but... A. The waitress didnt take our order down right. Didnt bring everything we ordered and even brought some items wrong. B. If you order cortadito make sure to request more coffee. They brought the whitest cortadito ever. Era más café con leche que nada. C. Service was miserable. There was about 10 wait staff and 20 tables and they couldnt attend to their own tables. First and last time I will eat here. :-/

Good food at great prices. We had pupusas with beans, cheese, and loroco and the Mariscada Salvadoreña. Lots of seafood in one bowl! The yuca frita is tasty, too. I asked for garlic mojo on the side. The negative was that we werent greeted at the entrance and we werent sure if it was self-seating or if we had to wait. Other than that, staff was friendly and helpful.
